Seems geared toward kids -- 75% of the stacks are picture books, early readers, etc. And a good portion of those are bilingual and non-English materials (mostly Spanish). There's also a play area (play kitchen), duplos, bins full of board books, and coloring pages. And, yes, there is a hand sanitizer. The adult section is tucked into one nook -- this is where you'll find fiction, NF, graphic novels, and YA. Like any library there are computers; wasn't too busy on a late Saturday morning. Bonus for easy parking (lot and street) and the park right across the way! We'll probably end up going to the big sibling Brookwood location more often, just for proximity and larger size of its collection, but this branch isn't half bad.

There's a section of Best Sellers that current popular books are available for check out. I've checked out some epic reads without having to wait. I like browsing the shelves and seeing staff picks placed on placards next to the book on the shelf. I've read many books that I wouldn't have read otherwise from the recommendations. I've recently started checking audio books and books on Kindle through the Libby app. I love it! I love that they do different events. I've taken my grandkids to family friendly events. Last week I had to check out the current artwork being displayed. I was mesmerized by the Warrior Women Portraits by Danyel Rogers. I received an email that there was an artist reception being put on for her. Many of the subjects of her photographs were in the audience. The reception was nicely done. I hope to make many future events!

There are so many perks that come along with being a library card holder, including access to all Washington country libraries, Libby which provides access to digital & audio books, and annual tickets to local attractions like museums and gardens. On this particular occasion my husband and I decided to walk around the pond/park for about 30 minutes before entering the library. Upon entry we were immediately greeted by a friendly volunteer and we perused the ground floor, looking at the bookshelves before heading upstairs to find a place where we could collaborate on our annual goals. Before finding a spot we encountered a young man who helped us get set up with our library cards. Then we found a place to sit and we got to work. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many people utilizing all the library amenities - computers, printers, study rooms and notary service.

For years I've been using the library's Summit system as a way to save money on books. I'm surprised not more people do this. I also make use of their online databases, and the workers are more than willing to help with any questions or concerns you may have. The learning center has been a life-saver. Basement: quiet floor, DVD players available First floor: Peet's Coffee, printing/scanning services, rentals of mice, laptops, laptops that play DVDs, etc. Second floor: awesome help desk to help you out with research Third floor: perfect for group meetings. I figured it was about time for me to write up a review for the PSU library as I have been spending…read moremost of my time there lately. This library has many different spaces available in order to get your school work done; whether it be solo or with a group. There are six floors in the library, half of them are quiet study and the other half allow talking in order for group work to happen. There are quite a few private group study rooms that are available for rent to students (be sure to reserve these way in advance during mid-term and finals weeks). The library has a whole slew of computers as well as several print stations. The print stations are hooked up to web print so you can conveniently print from your own laptop. There is a reference desk located on the second floor. If you don't know where to get started in this large library. you should stop by the reference desk first. I've also had a bit of luck having them help me with my research. These librarians went to school to learn how to research things, go take advantage of their expertise! I also enjoy the various views I can get depending on which side of the library I decide to it on. If you sit on the east side of the building (the front) you have a nice view of the Park Blocks and a beautiful tree that grows right in front of the library. If you head to the west side you get a view of the football field. I have had much entertainment from watching everything from soccer and football practice to martial arts practice and cricket games.

Stop in to get a Washington County library card and help setting up the Libby App which grants you access to e-books, audiobooks, and magazines from the entire Washington County catalog. They also offer tons of programs for kids and adults including story times, tech help, and homework help (by yours truly!).
