Luxer appeared to be a different kind of service from standard urgent care practices because it…read moreseemed to offer things like care coordination, chronic care, mental health, weight loss, etc. My LO went in for labs and X-rays pre-op for a specialized orthopedic surgeon out of state. They handled it with amazing efficiency and very little administrative friction. The tests they ran were accepted and he received the operation successfully. Upon returning home realized he needed PT and home healthcare. He called to see if they could help him arrange for that, along with some follow up labs. They turned him away. The person on the phone said, if he wanted that kind of service he'd need to sign up for their concierge program. With the exception of the surgery he needed, the patient is healthy and historically has not needed frequent visits to the doctor. But now he's going to need to establish a relationship with a GP or something, even though Luxer initially appeared to be a very convenient solution for people like him, who aren't at the doctor's office a lot.

Without being detailed i can tell you that Dr. Rezai evokes in an exemplary and down to earth manner relevant charachter traits that you might find essential in a good doctor patient relationship. Honesty, integrity, and concern for a patients own wishes and personal feelings, it seems to me are not trivial maters to Doctor Rezai or his dilligent well chosen team of associates. Even when the matter was serious and i brought my mother in, although, Doctor Rezai was not there at the time of that particular visit, it was not a great concern as i was highly impressed by the associate physician who was on duty. Dr. Rezai obviously is a man of who is understanding and skilled in discernment and it is reflected in his choice of asociates and office personnel Furthermore, i came to find out that others among my own close relatives also do use their services and were no less impressed than myself. For discussing medical issues or understanding test results regardless if they were originating from care at Rezai Health, i would not hesitate to consult with Dr. Mohammed Rezai or anyone part of his team. We were able to get in quickly within 30 minutes of calling the clinic! The clinic is NICE! Everything is brand new and so well designed. It's not your typical medical clinic that's plain walls and cold. There's beautiful artwork (I wish I had gotten a picture) and every room has a screen that will show you X-rays, etc. Dr. Rezai and his assistant were great. His assistant took our son's vitals (even with him squirming everywhere). Dr. Rezai came in shortly after and lo and behold, he had a double ear infection. Dr. Rezai called in a prescription and we were able to pick it up right after we left the clinic. We will definitely be back again next time we need to see a doctor!

When I was explaining my situation to the nurse she looked disgusted (yes it was gross but control your facial expressions when you're with patients). As I was leaving I wanted to ask a question about billing and the nurse was like "what are you waiting for, we bill your card on file" and I said "that's exactly why I'm waiting I want you bill my insurance" and she said there's nothing they can do that I have to wait for the bill to come out. So sure enough I wait for the bill, they charged my insurance AND the card they make you put on file (my insurance covered the entire bill, I shouldn't have been charged). Getting a hold of someone to talk to is a nightmare, my card was charged and now I have to fight with when them for a refund. They seem more money hungry than willing to help. The only convenient thing is that it's so close to home, but I'd rather travel farther for a little more professional patient care.

They listened to her lungs and immediately diagnosed her with pneumonia. I then got it a day later and then my 84 father got it. Once I took him to a different urgent care - they tested him for everything and he tested positive for Influenza A. I took my kid in later that morning to get tested and have her lungs checked and she tested positive as well and they said her lungs were clear and she did NOT have pneumonia. We had all been treating ourselves as if we have pneumonia and then put my elderly father at risk. This place should be out of business and has no business treating children.

I was then informed that the doctor would only be doing telehealth that day and they suggested i get checked somewhere else so the doctor could listen to my lungs in person. I was frustrated cause it wasn't disclosed that the appointment i would be booking was telehealth and told them and the front desk woman said "yeah we just found out today the doctor said she would call everyone but i don't know". i don't know it just seemed a little unprofessional and rude that they wouldn't disclose it, especially if someone with a more serious illness was coming in.
