I'm super grateful for this local urgent care and have only had good experiences the few times I've had to come by here. No one wants to be sick and this is one of the last places you want to be when you don't feel good, but I've been lucky that the wait times have been reasonable and most importantly the staff / doctors are super professional and caring. The doctors here are quality and lead with empathy which is a big one. Sometimes they are limited on the care they can provide but it does feel like they genuinely want to help and listen without judgement. I was here again over the weekend and from the front desk staff, to the nurse and then the doctor, everyone was caring. Again, wait times can always be rough at an urgent care. It really just depends when you come and how lucky you are. During one trip I waited about 45 minutes to get to the back but on my most recent trip I was in the back in under 15 minutes. At least the lobby is super clean and comfortable if you can nab one of their couches. This is definitely my urgent care of choice. Quality staff, clean space and they are thorough with paperwork, billing and getting meds requested at the pharmacy. Hopefully it stays this way long term because it's hard enough being sick, but if you have a quality emergency urgent care center nearby, you are lucky. read more

Plenty of parking, great location right off the fwy...We were sent over here from the Camarillo location because they had to turn us away even though we had an appointment (we arrived a few minutes early) guess they were understaffed and had an emergency... very friendly gal working the front desk and she was honest and told us the wait was going to be long and that she couldn't even say appropriately how long it would be and that they too were understaffed... I really appreciated her honesty AND she said that the Westlake location had no patents/no wait! It was a 6 minute drive to get there and what a blessing! When we arrived there was one person ahead of us and we only had to wait about 15 minutes!! Highly recommend coming here but make an appointment! read more

If you are low on money do not come here. I was scammed and I feel bad thinking about the people who pay to come just to have the same happen and then suffer financial consequence. I went in for chronic congestion and before seeing the doctor was charged a 50 copay. I paid no problem. When I saw the doctor before anything she confirmed I had no pain and mentioned I would need a ct scan or ent to help me. She looked in my nose with a flashlight confirmed I am congested just like I said and then again told me I need to go to get a ct scan or ent. I was charged for a service and all that happened was I was told they are not the right doctor. Why was I charged? My husband went in to ask them why I was charged for not receiving a service and they said because it counts as a dr visit to visit the dr. Mind you... the copay is 50 and God only knows how much the insurance paid. So she got paid bank just to say i need another doctor. The icing on the cake is that the nurse asked if they could record the exam room with AI and I said no. When the doctor came in she asked again and I said no that's okay. She said "that's okay" and clicked something. I don't even feel confident that I had privacy in the dr office. Everyone was really nice, but it doesn't changed that I was literally robbed. read more

I would not recommend this urgent care. I came here to get my head checked out after a work injury. I checked in at 3:42 pm and have been waiting for two hours plus. In addition, the lady working front desk was very rude. She asked about my head injury and said oh we don't do head imaging here. I explained I wanted to check if there is swelling and bleeding and etc she said oh unless you want to start a case for your injury. Super rude employee insinuating that I wanted to open a case to sue my company. I came to the urgent care to get checked out... Don't come here! Edit: I was finally seen! Overall great urgent care !! Will explain why 4 stars at the end, Dr. Eisner and nurse Danna were soo sweet and informative when treating my 11 year old son. They were so attentive, caring and making sure my son was comfortable and listened to not just us as parents. The wait wasn't too bad with 1 person ahead of us maybe 20min max. Reason for losing - star, we originally went to Camarillo where we had 4 people ahead of us, we were #5 in line and told 2 hours-- we expected that as the lobby was filled, the front receptionist in Camarillo was so sweet letting us know we can wait or choose to go elsewhere- I had looked at Newbury park online already and saw only 2 people waiting so I asked to go there she called and confirmed it was fine, she said I'll send your info there of what we checked in / registered for already. We left and were in Newbury within 10 min. Upon arriving front desk was nice but she said it was 1 hour wait, I was like "oh man, ok no worries we'll wait" she proceeded to say "idk why Camarillo said to come here we have a wait time too" I said "it was 2.5 hours there" she then said "hmm idk why they said that I'm sure it would of been faster probably over there, idk why they said that.." I was like "well they had more people there" and left it at that. I feel she said that for us to leave.. bc honestly ONLY 1 person was in front of us, I went to the restroom and literally soon as I walked out we got called so maybe 20 min in total waiting in lobby. The lobby was empty literally and nowhere near busy as cam. The Dr and nurse made it worth it and I love how they had a lollipop stand for kids on the way out.. definitely a recommendation for an urgent care and it was also very clean and nice ! read more

Went in dehydrated from some kind of virus - couldn't eat or drink, vomited everything. The doctor came into the room with a bottle of Tylenol and some water. Like I hadn't tried that before going into urgent care! He said they don't do IVs even though their website says they do. I got a couple of injections that did help but I need hydration! read more

Overall the facility is clean, the front desk and techs were nice. The problem is the doctor does not listen or respect you or the symptoms you are describing. He instead preached his own personal agenda about his feelings. Sometimes you have to treat the symptoms and the patient instead of spouting about documents. I've been waiting for over 2 hours to be seen for a pretty serious eye infection that has gotten progressively more painful as I waited. The front desk staff is friendly, but continuously saying I'm next and watching other patients be taken ahead of me is not comforting as a patient. I could have gone to the ER if I wanted to wait so long to be seen (not to mention the fact that they may not be able to help and may actually send me to there). Im so upset that I didn't go somewhere else and to top it off nurse just took my vitals as I sat crying stating I'm worried about my eye. This place has really changed and I won't be returning. If you need urgent care urgently, carbon health allows you to actually make appointments. (Btw at this point I've been sitting in a patient room for 20 minutes and I work in primary care so I understand emergencies come up but and almost three hour wait without care is unacceptable, I called and was seen almost right away at another urgent care) read more

Checked website prior to making my decision to come in-zero patients waiting/reality-4 Who is supposed to keep that updated?! Front desk person/extremely rude-has no compassion whatsoever-demonstrated an "I can't be bothered with you" attitude. Basically 100% self check in so other than directing me to the QR code and wiping the waiting room with bacterial wipes and spraying disinfectant 2 feet away from me is a waste of space. Could barely make eye contact with me. As the face to the public - not a good choice. Hope she's not making more than minimum wage. Medical assistant/nurse-kind and professional -the only redeeming feature of your business. Dr- calm, a bit scatter brained, performed NO PHYSICAL EXAM. Asked questions and that was the extent of my "care". Your waiting room was an ice box with couches that have seen better days along with chairs as hard as a rock. Entire back office had dinner while I waited to be seen. Nurse told me so. I watched the last of the 4 patients that were there ahead of me be seen and leave and it was another 30-40+ minutes before I was called in. I was the only person waiting when they made this decision. Of course they are entitled to a meal break, but should have paid attention to the fact that I was the last one left and had already been there for 75+ minutes and seen me first. Whomever made that choice needed to consider their timing better. As a company-shame on you. I will be reviewing my bill to be sure I'm not charged for a non-existent physical exam. What kind of Dr skips the exam?!?! Here I am awake at 5:30 am because I keep ruminating on how horrible my visit to your business was and felt compelled to write this lengthy text in the hopes of a few more hours of rest. If you're lucky enough to get in, you will get good care but they turn people away often. Even if you arrive more than an hour before closing they can and will tell you that no more patients can be seen, even when no one is in the waiting room. I understand that they get busy but it is frustrating when dealing with sick children, particularly when you call ahead. It would be super helpful if someone on the phone said that they were no longer seeing patients so you don't waste your time and could just head to UCLA urgent care in Westlake instead. On their website it states that they are open until 8 pm. When you arrive there is a sign that says the last patient check in time is 7:30 which is understandable and reasonable. But when you walk in well before 7:00 and there is literally no one waiting, it's frustrating to be turned away. This was not the first time this has happened either. I'm guessing they were l/are understaffed and again I would have totally been fine with them saying they couldn't see us if I had been notified when I called instead of after I got sick kids into the car and drove over there. So just a heads up, don't bother going if you are within a couple hours of closing time, even if you call and they tell you to come in. read more

I've been to this location a few times. Wait times vary but they have online systems that show if it's busy or not or you can always call in. Like any other Dr office expect a wait to be seen even if there isn't a long wait time and also dependent on the severity of your illness. I have always felt well taken care of at this location, felt the rooms and lobby have always been clean and check in is always responsive. The location is conveniently located and I think their network is one of the best. I've been seen here for all sorts of things and felt the level of service and care had always been consistently great. Definitely saves a trip to the ER for less serious issues and when you can't get an appointment with your general MD. read more

I came here on 3/1/24. All my kids had strep throat and I had gotten it too. I went there and signed in. It took over 90 min to see someone. I told them straight up "I have strep throat and I need an amoxicillin prescription". I knew this because I had brought multiple of my kids to the pediatrician and got the same diagnosis and meds. They did the test and told me "yes you have strep throat". They then send the prescription to my pharmacy. During this whole time I interacted with the doctor for 30 seconds max and the nurse for 2min max. Without ever sending a bill or explaining their math they now want to charge my credit card $200. That's an hourly wage of $4800. They didn't diagnose me. I knew the diagnosis. All I need was a prescription because you cannot get amoxicillin over the counter. They told me it would be at least 2 hours to be seen. So I went home and came back, and they actually called me as soon as I parked in front of the building to say I was next! Came inside and they told me to sit and wait to be called. so I have been sitting in this awful plastic chair for an hour now waiting patiently, and during that time 3 people have been called and seen before me. I still have yet to be seen. Why do you call yourselves urgent care if you can't take care of your patients urgently. I don't even think it's fair to say it's because I was a walk in. they told me to describe my condition and I literally put "it feels like fire and knives in my throat" to put it in perspective. Eye drops were given on the spot to numb the pain and 2 prescriptions were written to help heal my eye and keep our infection. It was faxed to the pharmacy if my choice for immediate pick up. My daughter was there last week at 11am, as her finger was broken from a bad fall in school. We were 2nd in line when we arrived but we still waited over 2+ hours. The nurse took other patients because they knew their X-RAY machine was down but they didn't mentioned. When the doctor saw her, we were told that the X-RAY machine was DOWN. We were very disappointed, not only having to PAY for NOTHING, but also WASTED 3 hours for NOTHING while her hand was hurting so much. We were very clear during check-in that her hand was in pain and needed X-ray. How come the staffs/nurses didn't tell us that the x-ray machine was down but made us wait and wasted 3 hours.....Then we went to ER and realized that some urgent cares could be absolutely no help or empathy! Perhaps their doctors were wonderful and all these delays or issues were due to neglecting patient needs, lack of staff (front desk) training, bad leadership and missing proper processes in place. read more

I went in today to get more information about my partners X - ray. I went inside, waited 20 minutes to see a receptionist and no one came. So I went back to the car until a receptionist arrived. About 15 minutes later someone started checking people in. I spoke to Diana ( older women with glasses and wavy hair) about getting more information about my partners X - ray. She was being rude, homophobic, making passive aggressive comments, and kept referring to my girlfriend (partner) as "friend" after I corrected her 3 times. Not once did she apologize. She kept giving me a hard time. So my partner called over the phone and she referred to me as "friend" again and my partner corrected her that I was her girlfriend and Diana did not apologize AGAIN. We will definitely not be returning here thanks to Diana for being HOMOPHOBIC and RUDE. Stay far away. I waited two hours for a doctor to check my blood pressure and use a stethoscope. Woop de doo. $342 with insurance because I hadn't met my deductible. They tell me it's not Covid or the flu. I leave with some bs over the counter cough medicine and the next day I'm at 101 fever with aches, chills, vomiting and had to call an IV nurse to pump me with fluids. Terrible interaction. Went after suffering severe cough and cold symptoms. Had a throat culture taken and a chest Xray. Was told there was a possible abnormality on the chest Xray and it would be sent to a radiologist for review. Was told they would advise me of the results later in the day. Was asked where my pharmacy was located and provided them with the information. After leaving the location I called my pharmacy and learned nothing was prescribed for cough or antibiotic. Waited for a call with test results. Never happened! I long for the days of caring doctors who actually follow-up. Needless to say less then 2 days later I was back at a doctor for much worsened conditions. Not this urgent care. Doctor prescribed heavy antibiotics, an inhaler and steroid tablets. To add insult to injury, being billed over 300 dollars for this useless office visit and being hounded with texts on a bill that is not due for over a month. Been coming to this place for years. Although it is much more convenient to have an urgent care in our area, this place is far from urgent. Expect at least an hour wait, always. I brought my son there recently, and the receptionist said it was totally fine to text me when his appointment was ready. I showed up 6 minutes after receiving the text, and they gave my son's spot away. I didn't know that was the case until we were back waiting for over 45 minutes, so I instead canceled the appointment and got a refund. I went in the next day because my son wasn't doing well still. The doctor didn't send in his prescription for his antibiotics! I tried calling to see what was going on, and they did not answer. I had to walk in order to find out they hadn't send the prescription in. This place is very clean, but not well run, in my opinion. They try to be a modern facility but lack with delivery. Simple things like appointments and prescriptions shouldn't fall through the cracks like this. read more

Completed the registration/signed in and received a text saying I was 5th in line so I went home to wait. About 70 minutes later, I received a text saying to head to the clinic because my appointment was at 1:50. Got to the clinic and had an experience with the rudest employee at the front desk who told me she hadn't registered anyone and when I told her I received a text to come in, she said that wasn't possible. Tried to show it to her and she didn't want to see it. When someone isn't feeling well, they want to be treated with compassion. This is my second horrible experience with this location. She told me there were still five people ahead of me even after over an hour and the texting system wasn't accurate. Why bother offering it if that's the case? I wasted my time driving back to the clinic for nothing. Left and went to the location in Thousand Oaks where I was promptly greeted by a very pleasant employee. Do better! read more

I broke my elbow at school and I immediately realize that I couldn't extend it so I knew that was a bad sign so we went to the urgent care and although the service was slow and it took a long time, everything else made up for it The nurse got us in and then wrote down the stuff I was feeling feeling, and then the doctor came in she was really nice. She told me that I needed x-rays, and even the x-ray technician was really nice. They saw from the x-ray that I broke my elbow and they put me in a splint And I will be going to Ventura orthopedics next to get a cast in summary. I've visited Exer in the past and had decent experiences, but after today, I will never return to this facility again. I brought in my 15-month-old, who has had a persistent fever since Friday. He has a history of ear infections, and we simply wanted him checked. Unfortunately, the doctor on-site today was unprofessional and dismissive from the moment he entered the exam room--over 40 minutes after we had been placed in it. He immediately disregarded my son's medical history, even going so far as to insult his primary doctor and deny previous diagnoses of ear infections. Despite being unable to clear the wax from my son's ears--something his regular pediatricians do quickly and easily while he sits still--he made no effort to conduct any tests or further assess what might be causing the fever. When I asked about alternating Tylenol and Motrin, he condescendingly told me it would be "difficult for me to keep track," which felt not only unhelpful but insulting. I wish I had his name so I could share it here and warn others more specifically. At the very least, a doctor should have a decent bedside manner and a willingness to listen and treat their patient. We received neither. If you're looking for quality care and compassion, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. Don't waste your time or trust here. read more

Pror to leaving home, I looked on line and saw there were 4 patients waiting. When I arrived and checked in, I was called into the exam room in approximately 5 minutes. The medical assistant didn't even start taking my vital signs, before the doctor began his exam. in less than 15 minutes of arrival, I was on my way to a pharmacy for an over the counter med recommendation. Suoer unimpressed with this place recently. I came here a month ago with 3 negative rapid tests but felt horrible so I came here. Got in to see the doctor and he never came closer than 6 feet of me and never touched me because he was convinced I had covid and made me take a PCR. I tried him it wasn't covid and I asked for a z pack. He said it won't do anything for covid and was locked in that diagnosis. The next day the PCR results came back negative, so for the next week I slept for 20 hours a day and finally kicked it. We go there tonight and arrive at 7:50 pm (they close at 9) and turned away at least three people. I get it, long hours, trying to maintain standards but they didn't even ask if it was urgent, just that they were closed. Poor performance on both occasions. You can do better read more

I was told, that Exer doctors, are emergency room trained and the best. When I went to Exer, a few days ago, I found out later, that I was seen by a NP. You should be given the option, to leave, if you desire. I have been to NP's before and they were thorough, in their care. I sensed something was off, when I was there. Incredibly convenient check in process. You walk in, hand over your information and then go home and wait for a text. I was in for a pretty nasty laceration requiring stitches. My PA and Doctor were both awesome. I'd rather go here than to my own doctor. read more
