IT'S THE LAST BOWLING ALLEY IN SEATTLE! lol I went there with some friends for a birthday party today. We got a lot of beer and bowled (not very well). It seems like a fun thing to do for families. They have an exclusive arrangement to bring in food from some pizza place and the Chinese place next door. So, the food is spendy. We got the beer for $11 a pitcher. (It helps with our bowling.) Fortunately, the machines figure out our scores. Would be fun to go there once a year for something with kids and stuff. You can bring a cake & balloons and stuff. read more

I have been blowing here for the past two leagues. With fewer and fewer bowling alleys staying open West Seattle Bowl has done everything necessary to keep up with the new era of bowling. the alley includes a full bar and menu that offers great, reasonably priced eats. Each lane has a television and great seating. The staff is very nice and helpful no matter what your needs. I have bowled at Roxbury and The Garage and was not impressed by either of these lanes. West Seattle Bowl is the place to be whether it be for a party, a late night bowl, or for a bowling leagues. Leagues start around $16/week and are offered year round. read more

WSB is a classic! The staff are friendly and the eats are good. I booked the CEO Package online for my husbands birthday. $60 down to reserve is not a bad price for 4 lanes. On the day of the party we only needed 2 lanes, so the guy at the check-in desk helped us in a big way by switching our reservations to the Family Package. Basically the CEO would have covered just the lane reservation, but since we had a smaller group than planned the Family Package covered the lanes, gave us unlimited frames for 2hrs, coveted shoe rentals, and we got 2 free pitchers of soda. What a deal! The place has been remodeled. Its very clean and doesn't have that old bowling alley cigarette smell. The lanes are a bit sticky and the flat screen TVs need to be fixed. Overall, WSB is a great place to go and have a great time! I would (and probably will) go back. read more

One of the few remaining bowling alleys in Seattle and it is a keeper. The new restaurant attached to the lanes is supposed to be good though I have not tried it personally. The bar has a good selection of beers and everyone's pretty laid-back. It's West Seattle, after all. read more

Be careful of LANE 1! There's a big electrical box on the wall that has a sharp edge that should be covered or otherwise fixed. After launching my bowling ball down the lane, I turned to head back to the seats and knocked a big dent into my shin and a nice new hole in my not-so-cheap jeans. read more

WOW..... OK.... UM, where will I start...., soooooooo the drinks were terribly watered down. In addition, to the drinks being extra expensive, the customer service was pretty bad. I did not enjoy the side eye from the bartenders. The lanes kept resetting itself and not excepting the manual score changes, it was frustrating. Week day bowling: the lanes appear to be well maintained although if you're expecting league conditions, you'll be sorely disappointed. No oil means you'll have that much more fun with your hook balls :). Automated scoring is not always accurate. My score showed 9 instead of 8 when there were 2 pins remaining. Occasional resets required when a new game has a fallen pin. Shoes: fairly new. Sizing runs big. Bathrooms have a strong bleach smell but on the positive side, it means clean. Eats: catered so not sure of the prices. All flavorful and fresh. Coconut shrimp: the coconut breading is pretty thick so it can be too chewy if you don't like coconut. Chicken strips: moist and tender surprisingly for breast meat. Sliders: good. Fresh fruit chunks: cantaloupe and melon weren't ripe but it's expected since it's not the season. Grapes: could have done with a little more washing. Greek salad: nice to have Greek olives without the pits. Regular green salad: good - served with walnuts, thin green apple slices and cranberries. The bar: good selection of beers and wine. Great selection of hard liquor too! It may be a plot that the lanes aren't oiled. This is just the oasis for drowning your sorrows when you are as frustrated as hell with the lane conditions. Friendly service. Street parking limited to 4 hours. wednesday nights... $8 cover... $1 beer pints and $0.25 cent bowling? i'll take 8 please! bowling alleys used to be a place for cheap good fun with a group of friends. i don't know when other places (Acme Bowl, Lucky Strike) starting popping up and turning a fun original past time to a money making pit and ripping people off for $5 shoes and $5 games or charging $65/hour for a lane. just because they throw lights on the ceiling and blow smoke across the lane while i'm trying to bowl. i didn't ask for that! There's only a few bowling places I go to now a days. This place is one of them. I like how the place is clean, friendly, and the food taste good. I have been coming here the last several times because my balls don't get chewed up and spat out requiring some repair. I came here with my husband and two young kids for a random afternoon family activity. The place was very empty - and yet the staff was very attentive, friendly and welcoming. As it Wa the first time for my kids to bowl, they were uber helpful. The place is clean, family friendly and they offer great specials so you don't break the bank trying to have a good time. At the time we went (late Sept) they were in the process of remodeling and opening a new restaurant, so that would be an added plus if they were now open!! read more

Ok, they have chinese food delivery to your lane! They are somewhat connected to this chinese food joint next door, and although they are not great food, what a great frickin' idea. Bowling was fun, although they need a better selection of balls (insert joke). Music was '80s and entertaining at the time, as was the drunk chicks dancing against a fan for that '80s video windblown look. As a nanny I'm always looking for fun things to do with my boys & thought bowling sounded just that. We did have a lot of fun until we went to leave, the man working rudely told me that i was to tell them ahead of time that we were using the 'Kids Bowl Free' coupon (which we didn't have to do last year at a different alley) and how we "used one of their lanes for 90 minutes & it was all for free was ridiculous." The bowling alley had no more then 5-7 lanes being used at a time so it's not as if we were keeping others from playing and in the end it wasn't free because we paid for shoes, my 3 games & the 1 game for each of my boys not covered by the KBF coupon... nearly $25 still. I will be finding a different bowling alley to use next time that has a kinder staff (and better food - there's was HORRIBLE!) read more

This venue will require further testing from me. I just happened to go on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and it was jam packed! The service was as good as it could be for so many people. The bar service was fast. The grub was mediocre, but what can you expect at a bowling alley? Wednesday nights offer a cover charge after 9pm which is good for 25 cent games and $1 domestic/$2 craft beers. Since it was so packed, we only got 2 games in. My friends say on any other Wednesday we would have gotten 4-5 games in. read more

All the years I lives in West Seattle I have never went to West Seattle bowl. Came here for the first time just a couple weeks ago and wow didn't expect it to look cleaner than most bowling alleys. A little more well lit than others but that's because I enjoy bowling with lights on rather than it being super dark and nothing on but black lights. That's just me. Can't give this place anything more than 3 stars though because it's not a 5 star bowling alley. Just a place I don't mind coming back from time to time when we want to go bowling. read more

Feeling pretty good about myself, I strolled around to glimpse at other groups' scores, only to find that everybody else was getting strikes like it's nothing. Twice a week (9pm Wednesdays and Sundays as of October '11) they charge you 8 bucks cover (with shoes) and you can bowl for a quarter a game. My girlfriend and I had such a good time that we're actually thinking of joining a league. We got nice, clean, new-seeming bowling shoes, which stuck out to me. I agree with the comments on the restaurant and bathrooms - restaurant food is tasty, and the bathrooms are eccentric. read more
