I nannied for a family this summer who was visiting from out of town and this play place was a real win! The kids were 3.5 and 1. The 1 year old did fine in the toddler area and found things she liked to climb over. The older child absolutely loved climbing up and down the stairs and playing with the balls that you can launch. The play area was a little dark in some spaces and some parents would allow their kids to run around with no supervision. I would definitely recommend keeping an eye on the child you are with when they are playing. The food is nothing special, but for kids it's pretty standard pizza and fries. This was our first time visiting on a Saturday afternoon and unfortunately, it will likely be our last. When we arrived, the entire place smelled like burnt food. To their credit, the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the facility does offer food, drinks, private party rooms, and a seating area for parents. That said, the overall cleanliness and condition of the play area were very disappointing. The seating area floors were dirty, with leftover food and trash. The playground itself felt unsafe and poorly maintained there was a large pile of shoes at the entrance that children had to dodge while running in and out. Inside, the space was dark and gloomy, lit only by some string lights. Several play features were broken: only half of the ball shooter guns were working, and a touchscreen game area was completely non-functional. When we asked about it, staff told us their "tech person" was busy cooking in the kitchen and would fix it later. The unisex bathroom was in unacceptable condition filthy floors, trash on the ground, and an unflushed toilet. Parking is also inconvenient, as you'll need to find street parking or a nearby structure. I'm not sure if we happened to visit on an especially busy day or if the facility is regularly run this way, but the lack of cleanliness, broken equipment, and unsafe setup made it a very disappointing experience. read more

My family loves this spot, so much so that both of my daughters had their birthday party there this past year. For being in downtown, it surprisingly doesn't get so, so busy. I like that the kids can run in and stay in there while the parents can hang at the many tables to drink, relax, socialize. The pizzas are fine and they serve both wine and beer as well as coffee. The place is usually pretty clean. My kids are age 7 and 3 and while I think my oldest might phase out in another year or two, it's a great place for kids aged 2-8 for sure. read more

It's like a cool indoor park but has food and beer inside. They have a good selection of food and beer but it's way overpriced in my opinion, a French fries equivalent to a small size fries will cost you about $7.50. The pizza is an average of $22 but what's worse is that I had to wait 45min to get the fries and tots. In fact my wife joked and said they plant a seed first, then wait for it to grow, then etc..just thought I would add that little humor. And just FYI it wasnt that great. read more

i've been to do many indoor playgrounds--wiggleworks in redmond, funtastic playtorium in lynnwood, kids magic lab in redmond, twinkle land play cafe in bellevue, kids cove in bellevue, the ridge in bothell--all with the hope that i would get this feeling like, "yes, this is it, this is what i'm looking for." i thought i was a crazy person until i came here. my son is about to be 2.5 years old. i think this is great for this age and older. it feels sort of like a mcdonald's play place but on a grander scale. it's a great place to be with with your kid or you can just let your kid go and have fun by themselves. the food is good, and the place seemed well staffed and with very friendly staff rather than staff that seem overworked. my son GOBBLED UP his pizza it's usually around... $16-18 i think for just one drop in play, but after a while, i went and bought a pass for 10 visits for $13 each, i think. i just really loved it, and i just especially liked the friendly staff members. it really seemed catered to both kids and adults. read more

Dropped in here for a play date with some friends for the first time ever and it was a little confusing on how things work. Parking: street parking, so can be a little tough depending on when you arrive. Paying for entrance: you pay at the cafe counter, even if you're not getting drinks, and you have to sign a waiver. Cafe: the service was great, we really enjoyed the manager who helped us at the counter; he was the friendliest of the bunch. The drinks we ordered were good and lasted throughout our time there. My little is under three so we spent most of the time in the toddler side but as mentioned in some of the reviews, it's a little dark throughout the play areas, so more light would be good/safer. I think it's a great concept and will probably try this again once he's older but it would be good to have a staff member present maybe in the center of the structure to keep an eye on things as most parents just stood/crowded at the front outside of the play area, so when some kids were arguing they weren't doing much. We had a child bully my son twice and when I looked around for a parent or other adult to handle their child they were nowhere to be found so my husband and I just didn't let the child interact with my son anymore and let him keep playing. I went on the slide with him and helped him through structures but like I said, we will probably try this again in like a year. read more

Utter chaos! Brought my 1.5 year old granddaughter here, for play time. Upon entering, found no protocol. No sense at the counter on how to pay. Groups of kids and adults were all struggling to get in. Found a way to beg a staff member to accept my money. Entered the playground and quickly moved to the toddler area. Older children were clearly out of control, screaming and yelling without parental supervision. Toddler area was quite dark and difficult to supervise. unfortunately. older children came to this area and were aggressive towards the younger children. some bullied the younger kids. Expect a loud noise level, but many older children screamed incessantly. No staff intervention. Staff app overwhelmed and unable to apply any supervision standards. Toddler area had malfunctioning and taped up equipment. Food was awful and expensive. Took at least a half hour from ordering to food delivery. Had high hopes for the experience of coming here. Sadly, would not come here again, no matter how desperate I was for a playground option. read more

Our 2yo while a bit small to climb some obstacles the ability as a parent to go the entire course with them was a nice touch. Our 4th time here - my 4 year old can spend a whole day here running and jumping. The kids will absolutely love coming here. The toddler area is small but it has foam blocks to stack etc. The slides are fun, the dance floor is a really creative addition. We've been to other play areas before and this one has a lot of creativity. I took off 1 star because 1-2 things were broken on our last visit. (The projector and the claw on the crab). The kids didn't care. The foods a reasonable price, not a total rip off like at the airport. It's cafeteria style food but filling and kids love it. My son is loving it! He can do everything in there, climb all the levels and is going, going! Better deal is to pay for day pass since hourly is a rip. A cool and expansive space, immediately engaging children of all ages! The cafe and dining area is huge - it would have been nicer to have a larger play area and less sit-around space. Two party rooms are available for rental. Parents can enter and play in structure, as well as kids up to 12-years. Everyone must wear socks. Food and beverage can only be obtained on premises and not brought in from outside, so be mindful of you have allergies or food sensitivities. The two girls working on this day seem to not want to be bothered, hardly exchanging any words, let alone pleasantries with the entry and food orders. Suggestion to owners: hire people who like kids, who are interested in families and who want to do their jobs. Paying an automatic 15% "tip" (non-negotiable) to contribute to staff's "living wages" is a joke when they do nothing to earn it (even so much as a smile or friendly nod in response to your thank you). This is NOT the example we want our children to learn from. Educate the employees. Train them. Coach them. Or fire them and hire new ones. The food is good - we tried the Player's Club Panini (over $11 with mandatory tip and tax), and it was a good size to share with a kid for lunch. But it's expensive. And you're stuck. Price was deceiving. Cashiers were unfriendly. Planned this activity based on prices on website and commuted here and found out that it's twice that price on school breaks. Cashier said it was supposed to be on a pop up (that still doesn't say the price) but that never came up on certain browsers. If you come here be careful of price gouging. I'd recommend sky zone over this place because it's just a little more for a month membership (not a one time deal. Going twice there is a better deal than once here) and staff is friendly there. I have been there a few times already and my son loves it. My only complaint is that there's no parking so I have to park on the street and pay since it's Seattle. We checked the website before we left to make sure they were open and when we got up to the unlocked door, they wrote a sign that closed for a private event. I just had my daughters 3rd birthday party here. I have nothing but amazing things to say. The staff was so friendly. Ty was our personal party host and he was phenomenal. He exceeded our expectations and he helped make everything go smoothly. The kids loved the play area and the room was perfect for the amount of kids and parents we had. We were able to bring in our own cake and decorations. They provided the food, drinks, and utensils. They're reasonably priced for private events and their food portions are a good size. Ty came in every 5-10mins to make sure we were okay and we were stocked with everything. I also had a big cake that I had no idea how to cut and he stepped in to help, which was very much appreciated. I will definitely be back for play times and for future kid parties. They still ran around for a bit (maybe an hour) but that's all that it was. (Kids are 8 and 10 now.) This place is great for the younger kids. A place for parents or children keepers to take kids to play. They have tables for the adults to sit and hang out at while kids run crazy in the tubes, slides, and play play play. They don't allow outside food in, but they do have soft drinks, coffee and such and even have pizza (which I hear is pretty good.) Overall, if you have young kids and need a place to keep them busy for a good chunk of a day or wear them out so they will sleep, this is your place. read more

An indoor play option where kids AND adults can have a great time? Say hello to PlayDate SEA, a play space located in Seattle's South Lake Union. The facility's main attraction for kids is a 3,000-square-foot undersea/Atlantis-themed, multi-level play structure with slides, tubes, tunnels and balancing challenges. Kids can enter and climb via a number of routes which spreads the kids out and minimizes congestion. They can go all the way to the top and explore the various padded obstacles or stay on the lower parts with slides and other obstacle challenges. There are also two interactive gaming activities inside the structure where kids' movements are tracked by motion sensors that change the projected images on the floor (like a simple Wii or Xbox Kinect game) and a ball area with dueling Nerf air cannons and a ball fountain just to the side of the structure. Toddlers can play in a separated space for ages three and under. Parents are able to keep an eye on the kids in the big structure through the mesh and net "walls." They are also encouraged to directly monitor and go inside the structure themselves. Additionally, safety and sanitation protocols are in place to help make sure everyone has a fun and healthy experience. If your kid is both adventurous and well-behaved, it's possible for you to sit on the sidelines, have a beverage and watch them tire themselves out exploring every nook and cranny. Bold 4-year-olds and older will likely do great solo in the main structure. More timid and younger kids seem to do better with an adult sidekick to encourage them. Businesses are all trying to get through the pandemic so I'd say they are doing what they can to keep everyone happy. Just left this place and I won't be going back. I'm a mom of a newly 2yo. Pros: It's a playspace in Seattle, which is rare. There are big climbing structures and slides and the big kids are loving it. There's plenty of seating for adults, with tables and chairs galore. Many high chairs. Also a restaurant / cafe. It's expensive but it's right there.. Cons: Where to start? - Entrance: Anyone can walk in, sit down, eat, and play on the structures. It's extremely easy to just walk in and not pay, as you walk into this cafeteria-like space. No guided lines, you don't even know where to pay. Is it at the cafe area? Is it back by the structures? Is it in the private room? It's not clear and kids are running EVERYWHERE not just at the structures but all around the front door and ramp. Think tiny toddlers climbing and crawling around the front door. - Bathrooms: Dirty, wet floors, paper everywhere and no posted cleaning schedule. The largest stall door can't open all the way because the toilet is in the way. Not good for trying to do a quick clothes change for your kid. It's dark, dingy, and had two toilets stuffed to the seat with paper. No paper towel, just the loud hand dryers that freak out babies and toddlers. The sinks are too high and so is the stool for kids to stand on. No thought for kids was put into this bathroom. - Staff: What staff? The cafe worker who took my card and charged me before telling me anything about the place, the rules, the liability? I never received any introduction or confirmation that I was even in the right place to pay. I may as well have been ordering a chili dog. - Toddler area: DARK, tiny, and overfilled with big soft shape toys. There are a few wall activities but it's so dark you can't see them. They're also stiff, hard to rotate and interact with. It's also easy for older kids to enter and run around, fling themselves down the bigger slide in there, ignoring the littles just trying to move around the big shapes. The area is also dangerous - the netting behind the slide is flexible, so little kids can fall behind it and get stuck. My son did that and I can imagine many others have too. I watching him stand up after climbing up, take a step back, and then he disappeared straight down. He could've broken a leg, ankle, arm... See photos. - Safety, security: What safety? What security? No security, no privacy. The lockers have no locks and are just open for all. When you fill out the little liability form with your family info, it's just open and on the counter. Not filed away in a computer or filing system like everywhere else, but just next to the register for anyone - even cafe guests - to see your kids name, family info, signature, etc. Again ANYONE can walk in and use the place without paying. No one is watching, the entrance isn't defined, and you might accidentally step on someone's child or trip on a diaper bag on your way in the door. - All of the netting around the structures is soft and flexible. If my son could slip between the net and the back of a slide in the first 5 minutes of play, I repeat, I imagine many kids have done so as well. And it's so poorly lit that if your eyes aren't ON your baby every second, you might lose them back there. read more

We held our first "real" birthday party for our 3-year old toddler (thanks, pandemic!) and rented a private room for 8 kids and 20+ adults. It was the best experience we could have ever hoped for! Laurel, our party coordinator, reached out 10 days beforehand and answered my many questions as a first time kid-party planner. On the day of, Ty and Clem (trainee) were our party hosts and were extremely attentive. They provided better service than a 5-star restaurant, which is especially rare during these unprecedented times! They were friendly, helpful, and super communicative. Ty is a professional party host- he has everything covered logistically! The play structure was super fun for the kids, and the food was delicious with good portions! We ordered the fruit & cheese platter; humus platter; monster munchies platter (huge hit with the kids); and pizzas. We brought our own cake and decorations (balloons, tablecloth, & banner). The murals in the private rooms are beautiful and unique! When I forgot candles, a lighter, and tape, Ty came to the rescue. Street parking was relatively easy to find and free on Sundays. Had party here and it was fabulous. We had the mermaid room, closest to the play zone. Everything from start to finish with the wonderful party host, home made food from the chefs in the kitchen, to the strangely quiet Sunday afternoon (it was out party group and maybe 10-15 other kids!). Felt lucky that we had the place pretty much to ourselves. Examples of how they provided great service: - We walked into the party room and the Water station was all setup and they even had sparkling water - We wanted our birthday boy at the head of the table benches. Our hostess went searching for a small stool or chair. There were none, so she made up a small bench for him by using a crate box and gym cushion. He was super happy. Pizza here is good.
