I faced having to sit masked for four or more hours at a laundromat to have my comforters washed and dried. After weeks of drinking coffee in bed, all four of them were pretty dire. Gene was so thoughtful and helpful and they did a fantastic job! The comforters look just like new and they weren't hugely more expensive than the laundromat would have been. Great for dry cleaning, but look elsewhere for alterations. Had two pairs of new pants hemmed. One hemmed too short, one with pant legs at different lengths. The one too short, they attempted to reconnect to cut hem, which they did, but they the legs didn't match on length. I took both to different tailor and salvaged one pair, the other can't be fixed, out $179 pair of pants. read more

I chose to check out this cleaners because of the good Yelp reviews and you all did not steer me wrong. The owner was VERY nice and appreciative of my business. That is something you just don't get very much of anymore. It was ready on time and he actually asked me when I needed the clothes and was willing to get them back faster if needed (which I did not this time). This is not the closest cleaners to my house, but I would rather drive farther for the good service. He was also cheaper on suits than other cleaners in the area. read more

So, I'm in this wedding. (Ladies, you know where this is going.) I go to (unnamed wedding mass production warehouse) to order the specified gown, and make sure to try it on, order a size up for alteration flexibility, etc - this is not my first wedding rodeo, y'all. Fast forward two months, dress arrives. I put it on and it does not zip up. Like, stops mid back and won't go around my ribs. Now, unless my lungs blew up...pretty sure I didn't gain weight in my ribs. But there's not a lot I can do with the no-returns-ever-even-if-we-hand-you-a-dress-on-fire policy. I search high and low, and finally Yelp leads me to West Seattle Cleaners for alterations. Mind you, this is a somewhat cheaply-made dress, complicated and overly fitted with detail above the zipper's stop point. I dropped it off, we all looked at it doubtfully, and the very kind folks there said they would do whatever they could to save it. Today: I picked up the dress. Some sort of crazy miracle was clearly performed: not only does the dress fit now, but you can't even tell any alterations were done - anywhere! I am in awe. AWE. Thank you West Seattle Cleaners! This is an exceptional dry cleaners; I've found they may cost a little more than other cleaners in this part of West Seattle but they're worth it. The owners are very friendly and personable. At one point, I had to leave early the next morning for a business trip and needed to pick up my clothes but was running late for when the store closed. I've taken my clothes to West Seattle Cleaners on several occasions after finding them on yelp. In fact, I kept using them even after I had moved to Queen Anne, just because I felt like I had found a reliable place for a great value. The owners are very personable and would recognize me when I arrived. They help carry your items out to your car and work efficiently. I never had any issues with my clothes, they were always treated with care. The big thing I would mention is their customer service. I made a request to have my pants and shirts placed on my own hangers, instead of accumulating hangers from the cleaners. They were happy to do it, although they explained it slows them down in their process somewhat. They even remembered that request and asked about it on subsequent visits. Bottom line - give them a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

had my wedding dress cleaned here and everything was fine except that we never got a call when it was done! 8 weeks after we dropped it off when we still hadn't heard anything, i finally decided to call. multiple tries on different days and i never got an answer to their phone (annoying), so i decided to just go in and check on it. got there and found out it had been done for a month! they said they'd called, once, but there was no message left and we definitely did not actually talk to anyone. extremely disappointed that they didn't try more than once or even leave a message and even moreso because it's a wedding dress, not just your Thursday work shirt. when i went in to get it, they said they usually hold onto them for about a month, so i hate to think what would have happened if i hadn't decided to just go in when i did, which was exactly a month after it had gotten done. i truly hope they would have at least attempted to call one more time before getting rid of it... read more

Their prices are among the best in the neighborhood and and I found out they put collar stays in the shirts as part of the regular service. This is something that might not seem like a big deal but it is. Then I tried their altering service and it was really well done. And finally, this weekend I needed some shirts done within 24 hours and they had to jump through hoops to get it done but they did. These guys are awesome. Give them your business. read more

These guys are simply amazing. I had a recent disaster that left two of my favorite comforters in shambles. After having a few teeth extracted, my dog had a pretty bad recovery - uncontrollable bloody drool and behind explosion from the anesthesia. The comforters were just two of many things in my home that were caught in the onslaught of his recovery. I was devastated, and on the verge of tears. Brough the comforters in to West Seattle Cleaners see if there was any recovery possible. Picked them up today - they are like brand new, even the pure white one. I used West Seattle Cleaners for the first time to clean my couch cover. It was pretty beat up after a cross country move: new (and old) stains, rips. They were able to get everything out and stitch up the rip. Pick up day was initially set for Saturday, but they were done by Thursday, which I really appreciated! Great customer service. I dropped off a pair of dress pants for dry cleaning and upon return they were separately packaged, and damaged beyond repair. I called to discuss what happened and was told they didn't know about it. My other 2 pair of pants were in a separate bag so it seems highly unlikely they didn't know about the damaged they did to my dress pants. When I called for a refund I was not given a refund that was fair so I declined the offer. I have several hundreds of dollars of business there but I will never do business again with such a rude owner & people who can't take blame for the damage they do. The most efficient and dependable service I have had from a drycleaners. We had to have two shirts done a.s.a.p., for an unexpected event. They were ready in time, perfectly done and just the way they protect the fresh clothing for taking out is quality work.
