The great thing about this location, is that they are slowly making upgrades. But it's still nothing to write home about. It's very small and the weight room gets way too crowded, and on top of that the people stay on the machines while being on their phones instead of getting off and letting other people use the machines. It's annoying, so I now just use the treadmills. They have Clorox wipes scattered around which is nice to be able to wipe down the machines. I really wouldn't go here if I had another closer option, but it's all we got in the neighborhood.

I'd love to give this gym a better rating, but I think it's despicable to keep MSNBC and CNN propaganda running on all TVs, they used to be fair and have a variety, now someone has started this dirty trick. I hope management will take action and keep the YMCA a Christian and positive environment. This gym has a lot of potential, nice pool, nice staff. The only downside are the outdated showers and locker rooms.

If you're looking for a "community" gym, don't be fooled. My dad was not only a member for over 20 years but volunteered thousands of hours at the West Valley YMCA. He was beloved by many members and staff associates. He suddenly stopped coming because of a fall and passed away over the holidays. When we asked if we could please put up a small poster announcing what happened to him and his eventual passing, we were told "no"; that "New construction and the front desk barely has anywhere to sit." SHAME ON YOU, West Valley YMCA.

Shelly Skaro made the finals very unfair. She listened to a coach and didn't think of the kids.

If you are tying to enroll your kids into the YMCA I suggest you don't. You will just go into anger mode when your child's team is left with no soccer coach. And when you are half way into the season you get a coach and make it to finals and when the brackets are set a coach from the same league goes to the director Shelly Skaro and changes the bracket to make sure he gets his team up by cheating. Parents who want to reach there kids what is playing soccer and learning how to lose the fair way I suggest you don't register your kids at the YMCA. Your kids will only have the experience that cheating in life is ok. I am really disappointed after four years of being a YMCA member I can say the Spring of 2015 has been by far the WORST season ever. And from what it looks like it's just going to get worst by having someone that is not even involve in sports put in there point of view!

Ask the Community - West Valley Family YMCA

Is there a sauna or steam room?

Hello Samuel, Thank you for taking time to reach out. West Valley YMCA does not have a steam room or sauna.

You guys put in a squat rack?

Hello, Joey! Yes, we also added a new squat rack and some new leg machines.

Is child activity center offered during open hours or specific times?

yes, due to the pandemic, the hours have changed and are the following; Monday - Thursday, 5 pm - 8 pm, and reservations must be made through the mobile app.

What does it cost if you just need somewhere you can take a shower?

You have to pay to enter at all so $45 a month and $30 sign up that is sometimes free. A family plan is about $70 I think so that may help to split with others.

I normally don't write reviews, but after reading the one accusing Cisco and the front desk staff,…read moreI genuinely felt compelled to share what I witnessed because I happened to be at the gym during this entire situation. I've been coming to this EōS for several months now, and one of the reasons I continue coming back is because the staff has always been friendly, welcoming, and professional. Every time I check in, I'm greeted with a smile, and I've never had a negative experience. That's why the review I just read honestly surprised me. From what I saw, the husband came in with his wife and wanted to bring her in as a guest. The employee at the front desk politely explained that his current membership didn't include guest privileges. There wasn't any attitude or confrontation whatsoever. The employee calmly explained the options, answered the member's questions, and even helped him upgrade his membership right there. Everything seemed completely normal, and the husband didn't appear upset at that point. After they entered the club, I noticed the husband walk back toward the front and then leave the building while his wife continued working out. A short time later, one of the employees politely reminded him that guests have to remain with the primary member and that if he was leaving the building, his guest couldn't stay inside by herself. Again, there was no yelling, no disrespect, and no scene. It was simply an employee enforcing what sounded like a standard guest policy. What the review leaves out is that the staff didn't immediately stop the wife from working out or force her out of the gym. They actually waited several minutes before saying anything else, clearly giving the husband an opportunity to return. Even after waiting, they approached her respectfully and simply asked her to wait in the lobby until her husband came back. She wasn't escorted out of the building, embarrassed in front of everyone, or "kicked out" like the review claims. She was asked to wait in the lobby because the primary member had left. The husband didn't come back for quite a while. When he finally returned, that's when the situation escalated but from what I witnessed, it wasn't because of the employees. He immediately started calling Cisco names, accusing him of being a scammer, and saying he had kicked his wife out, even though that's not what I had just watched happen. Throughout the entire interaction, Cisco remained calm, professional, and continued trying to explain the policy instead of arguing back. I think people sometimes forget that front desk employees don't create company policies they're simply responsible for enforcing them fairly for everyone. If staff start making exceptions for one person, then everyone expects an exception. Whether someone agrees with a policy or not isn't really the employee's fault. I've been a member here long enough to know this staff genuinely cares about the members. They're always respectful, helpful, and willing to answer questions. In my experience, people usually only take the time to leave reviews when they're upset, and sometimes those reviews don't tell the entire story. After witnessing this firsthand, I can honestly say the review blaming Cisco does not accurately reflect what happened. I wasn't planning on ever writing a review, but seeing someone publicly criticize an employee who was simply doing his job the right way didn't sit well with me. Cisco handled the situation professionally from beginning to end, and I hope management recognizes that not everyone who was there saw the incident the way that previous review describes. I believe the other employees name is Kaiya ! Shout out to her as well for her deescalation skills

I downloaded the free one-week pass and, unfortunately, had to leave on a work trip before I could use it. I returned exactly one week later and stopped by, believing I would still be able to use the pass since I had never actually visited an EOS gym before. Instead of working with me or showing any flexibility, the supervisor, Cisco, immediately insisted that I would need to purchase a $40 day pass. When I explained that I had been out of state on business and had never used the guest pass, he claimed the computer showed that I had visited another EOS location. That was impossible, as I was in Mississippi on the date he referenced. What was most disappointing wasn't the pass issue itself--it was the way the situation was handled. There was no attempt to understand the circumstances, verify the information, or find a reasonable solution for a potential new customer. The conversation escalated to the point where Cisco stated that he was "denying me service" rather than trying to resolve what appeared to be a misunderstanding. First impressions matter, and this was a terrible one. A gym that values customer service should be willing to listen, investigate obvious discrepancies, and treat prospective members with respect. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and unwelcome. Needless to say, I won't be paying for a membership here, and I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

The first time I entered Crunch, Stephen/Steven at the front desk smiled and greeted me; he made me feel welcome. Bishoy, a former manager was also awesome! He asked whether I cared about the age or gender of the personal trainer. I didn't. Given my existing condition, he strongly recommended Ryan Ainsworth. Ryan is exemplary! He has the eye of a physical therapist and is arguably as good as one - if not better! He is kind and nurturing. Whenever I'd whine about the difficulty of an exercise, he'd always encourage me while ensuring that I'd perform that exercise with fidelity. Ryan possesses the sublime ability to immediately adjust specific exercises to meet my personal needs. Ryan's nuanced adjustments are sublime! Current and former managers Bishoy, Johnny (at the Norwalk location), Armando, CJ, and Charlie always exhibited genuine kindness combined with outstanding customer service during times I had to postpone training for extended period of time due to illness, cataract surgeries, and fractured toes as a result of being clumsy at home. Ryan Ainsworth has given me the grace to accept myself, be resilient, and prevail with this "new normal" for which I am eternally grateful!!!

Treadmills are way overdue to be replaced or significantly refurbished. Stair masters are only great if they're working and these days there's always 2-4 broken. Members are always on their phones hogging machines doom scrolling while they are not active. This has become pervasive and it's really depressing being around that kind of energy. Texting while driving and at the gym is very selfish, inconsiderate and unsafe- do that at home when you're on the couch. Bathrooms are always trashed, I feel terrible that people are so rude and mindless almost forgetting that a person has to clean up their junky mess. It's disgusting. Manager who is there, a young guy, no idea what his name is as he is super not helpful and really not personable at all. Sad to say I feel there are people below the manger who are more personable and helpful who should totally be considered being promoted to manager. Speaker in the zoomba room has been broken and unpleasant for over two years now, still hasn't been repaired or replaced. This is so bad that instructors wheel in their own personal speaker to conduct the class sometimes or they'll use the speaker at a very low volume. No matter how low the membership cost was for me at the highest tier, I think I was paying $14/ month, it just wasn't worth it. Parking is for sure getting worse as it became more of a regular occurrence to park further closer to Honeybaked ham. I don't mind getting in the extra steps as I enjoy walking, but as a female at night... I digress. Crunch used to be a place I looked forward to going to, but now it's just way too crowded and stinky. Three stars because despite the quality of equipment and experience going down, it is still a 24 hour location with wonderful staff (excluding mangers), with a decent variety of equipment and the equipment which does work is ok. Crunch locations that are incredible: all of the New Jersey locations, NYC, Simi Valley, and Santa Clarita.

Stepping into the…read morefitness lifestyle after 13 years of being sedentary came with many challenges, but we both wanted to do things the right way so we created sustainable, healthy habits without injuring ourselves. We locked in our sleep and recovery, our nutrition down to every vitamin and mineral, and we decided Revision would be where we lock in our fitness with a personal trainer. This was the best decision we could have made. We started with Heather, a certified physical therapist, who walked us through the first few weeks, ensuring we were ready for the training ahead. Thanks to her careful attention to my previous injuries, and ensuring we understood the basics of mobility, we transitioned to Gabe, who we've been working with since March 2026 an average of 4x per week. Gabe's a fitness nerd, with a fantastic sense of humor, and a keen attunement to his client's needs, not just for the regiment to ensure progression, but in ensuring that he motivates us in the way that we would most likely respond to. His program was difficult yet sensible, achievable, and most importantly, motivating. Every movement was discussed in thorough detail with scientific evidence backing the form with reasoning. I appreciated this attention to detail, because my goal was to be informed. We needed to understand why we were doing an exercise a certain way, why we chose to start with this exercise vs that, his thought process on how he structured the workouts, so we would be successful one day planning and executing it ourselves. It's been 7 months since we started at Revision, and together we've lost 116 lbs, I've went from 30.3% body fat to 12%, we've increased our strength by multiples, and most importantly, have gained the confidence to walk into any gym and execute on our goals. My wife would murder me if I shared her results, let alone photos, sorry ladies, but she looks amazing and feels fantastic. Anyways, as we transition to working out on our own, we're going to leverage Gabe for 1x session per week over the next couple months to continue calibrating our execution and ensure we're set up for success. This has been an extraordinary experience. I don't say that lightly. Dusty, Carolyn, Heather, Kelsey, Jules, and Gabe all contributed to our experience, and we would like to thank them, wholeheartedly, for building an ideal environment for us to find continued success.
