I normally don't write reviews, but after reading the one accusing Cisco and the front desk staff, I genuinely felt compelled to share what I witnessed because I happened to be at the gym during this entire situation. I've been coming to this EōS for several months now, and one of the reasons I continue coming back is because the staff has always been friendly, welcoming, and professional. Every time I check in, I'm greeted with a smile, and I've never had a negative experience. That's why the review I just read honestly surprised me. From what I saw, the husband came in with his wife and wanted to bring her in as a guest. The employee at the front desk politely explained that his current membership didn't include guest privileges. There wasn't any attitude or confrontation whatsoever. The employee calmly explained the options, answered the member's questions, and even helped him upgrade his membership right there. Everything seemed completely normal, and the husband didn't appear upset at that point. After they entered the club, I noticed the husband walk back toward the front and then leave the building while his wife continued working out. A short time later, one of the employees politely reminded him that guests have to remain with the primary member and that if he was leaving the building, his guest couldn't stay inside by herself. Again, there was no yelling, no disrespect, and no scene. It was simply an employee enforcing what sounded like a standard guest policy. What the review leaves out is that the staff didn't immediately stop the wife from working out or force her out of the gym. They actually waited several minutes before saying anything else, clearly giving the husband an opportunity to return. Even after waiting, they approached her respectfully and simply asked her to wait in the lobby until her husband came back. She wasn't escorted out of the building, embarrassed in front of everyone, or "kicked out" like the review claims. She was asked to wait in the lobby because the primary member had left. The husband didn't come back for quite a while. When he finally returned, that's when the situation escalated but from what I witnessed, it wasn't because of the employees. He immediately started calling Cisco names, accusing him of being a scammer, and saying he had kicked his wife out, even though that's not what I had just watched happen. Throughout the entire interaction, Cisco remained calm, professional, and continued trying to explain the policy instead of arguing back. I think people sometimes forget that front desk employees don't create company policies they're simply responsible for enforcing them fairly for everyone. If staff start making exceptions for one person, then everyone expects an exception. Whether someone agrees with a policy or not isn't really the employee's fault. I've been a member here long enough to know this staff genuinely cares about the members. They're always respectful, helpful, and willing to answer questions. In my experience, people usually only take the time to leave reviews when they're upset, and sometimes those reviews don't tell the entire story. After witnessing this firsthand, I can honestly say the review blaming Cisco does not accurately reflect what happened. I wasn't planning on ever writing a review, but seeing someone publicly criticize an employee who was simply doing his job the right way didn't sit well with me. I had every intention of checking out this EOS location and potentially becoming a member, but my experience at the front desk completely changed my mind. I downloaded the free one-week pass and, unfortunately, had to leave on a work trip before I could use it. I returned exactly one week later and stopped by, believing I would still be able to use the pass since I had never actually visited an EOS gym before. Instead of working with me or showing any flexibility, the supervisor, Cisco, immediately insisted that I would need to purchase a $40 day pass. When I explained that I had been out of state on business and had never used the guest pass, he claimed the computer showed that I had visited another EOS location. That was impossible, as I was in Mississippi on the date he referenced. What was most disappointing wasn't the pass issue itself--it was the way the situation was handled. There was no attempt to understand the circumstances, verify the information, or find a reasonable solution for a potential new customer. The conversation escalated to the point where Cisco stated that he was "denying me service" rather than trying to resolve what appeared to be a misunderstanding. First impressions matter, and this was a terrible one. A gym that values customer service should be willing to listen, investigate obvious discrepancies, and treat prospective members with respect. I signed up for the $29.99 membership at EOS because Albert specifically told me that this pass included access to the small secluded room so I could have my own space to work out. That was the main reason I agreed to pay more instead of just getting the basic membership. Come to find out, the reason I've constantly needed help getting into that room is because my membership doesn't even include access to it. Now I'm being told I would need the $50 membership instead? That should have been explained clearly from the beginning. Mind you there's no $50 membership on the website, but that is what one of the employees at the front desk told me. The $29.99 membership honestly feels pointless if it doesn't include the feature I was promised. This was completely misleading and feels like false advertising by Albert. On top of that, the sauna and steam room smell really bad, like moldy and not properly maintained. For a gym charging these prices, cleanliness and transparency should be the bare minimum. I have been getting "service fees" after they charge me my monthly fees so my membership went from $29.99 to $44.99 with out notice and reaching anyone online or even on the phone seems impossible I have this going on for the last 3 months. So basically stealing is part of the membership agreement. You guys are robbing people. Besides the bathrooms always leaking and out of service, those are hazardous conditions to have in a gym full of people who choose to give their money to you. Do not waste a single penny on this place. The level of incompetence and total lack of basic human courtesy from the front desk staff--specifically CISCO--is beyond appalling. They act like untrained, power-tripping children who have no business working in hospitality. I have been coming here as a guest with my husband for the past 6 to 7 months without a single issue. Then out of nowhere, they started constantly changing their "policy," suddenly claiming my husband needed to upgrade his membership just to bring me as a guest. It felt like a blatant, desperate cash grab, but we went along with their ever-changing rules and paid for the upgrade TODAY just to keep things smooth and fully compliant. Right after taking our money, my husband was hit with an urgent situation near the front area that he needed to handle immediately. While I was right in the middle of working out, CISCO actually walked onto the floor, interrupted my exercise, and ordered me to step outside, hiding behind the exact same excuse: "it's company policy." What kind of power-tripping "service" is this in today's world? You constantly change your policies on us, force us to pay for an upgrade TODAY, and then turn around minutes later to harass someone mid-workout and kick them out using that same "policy" excuse? To grab a customer's money to satisfy your changing rules, and then immediately treat their spouse like a trespasser while they are actively exercising, is predatory and disgraceful. CISCO showed zero customer service skills, zero common sense, and zero basic decency. When we immediately demanded to cancel the upgrade after this appalling treatment, of course, they refused, claiming "no refunds/cancellations." Congratulations to CISCO--I see what you were doing to get "Employee of the Month." Extorting money from members, kicking them out, and then refusing refunds... now I see how this place actually makes its money. Management needs to seriously re-evaluate who they hire. Very disappointing experience at this location. We came to activate a valid 7-day guest pass, and my friend brought her real ID that matched her name and photo perfectly. However, we were denied entry simply because her ID said "North Hills" instead of "Northridge." North Hills is literally a neighboring local area, so this policy made absolutely no sense. The pass only states that a "local ID" is required, which she clearly had. The staff offered no reasonable explanation and made the situation feel extremely arbitrary and unwelcoming. I signed up at EōS Fitness Northridge and sat down with the fitness manager for a body composition scan, which led into a conversation about personal training packages. I was sold a bundle of 12 sessions for the discount -- never told it came with a strict no-refund policy. I used the gym once, got sick right after (locker room is my best guess), and never went back. Around the same time I had to relocate out of state for a family emergency. When I went to cancel, I found out about the no-refund policy for the first time -- after already paying $500 for a service I never touched. I emailed the Operations Manager, who asked a list of questions to "look into it." I answered every one in detail. That was over a week ago. Total silence since. If you're considering training packages here, ask very specifically about refund terms before you sign anything -- they won't bring it up themselves. read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt this experience was worth sharing. I visited this location because I was interested in joining with my daughter as a way to work out together. My Pilates membership at another studio was ending, and since my daughter isn't old enough to join there, I started looking at other options. I saw that EOS advertised a 7-day free pass, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to see whether the gym was a good fit for both of us. When my daughter, my sister, and I visited, we were told we could not receive a free pass because we do not live in Northridge. The sales representative told us to find a gym closer to where we live. Because this surprised me, I decided to verify the terms and conditions and it does not mention geographical boundaries. Later I was at the mall and tried to to get a free pass with the QR code and was able to obtain a free pass without any issue. No hard stops about residency or geographical boundaries. I also called the Northridge location and asked whether someone had to be a Northridge resident to use the gym or receive a free pass. The employee I spoke with told me that residency in Northridge was not required and that people from other cities are welcome. Based on those conversations, I was left confused about why we were denied a pass when we visited. I also reviewed the advertised terms and conditions and did not find any mention of a residency requirement or geographic restriction for the promotion. I started with this gym in April 2022 when it was Golds. Since the EoS buyout the quality of the gym and equipment has gone downhill so fast. The place has become so filthy that fungal infections are spreading. I say just avoid this place. then on top of it, it cost $110 to cancel my membership!! read more

Terrible! Don't even give it a chance. You will be created by a worker mine was ALBERT and they will immediately push the membership on you and state "you can cancel within the first 30 days, just call and it's a click of a button". I went 2x and their machines are terrible the weights are a mess no one wipes their machines, cleans. When you try and cancel, they'll give you an email a phone number never works. They tell you to call the manager or email her name being SOL but she never responds to her emails or phone calls. They'll tell you the location she's at and she's never really there so I called this morning and spoke to a worker named JAKE and when I explained what was going on, his response was " Oh, I hear that all the time. Sorry it is a process. Good luck". Overall, very disappointed with the gym the personnel that works there, and the overall experience would not recommend. The front desk staff is highly dedicated and friendly. Shout out to Kai and Reid for helping me when you are there. 3. Extremely disappointing experience with the front desk sales team. We saw an ad for a free pass, scanned the QR code, and drove out with family to check out the gym, only to be told at the desk that the pass didn't apply to us because we don't live in Northridge -- a restriction that was nowhere disclosed in the ad or its fine print. If there are city restrictions on your promotions, put them in bold print so people aren't wasting their time and gas driving out for nothing. Before we were even helped, I watched one of the sales reps look over at us, whisper something to a coworker, and then come over with a noticeably dismissive attitude toward my sister. When we asked about the pass, he told us maybe you guys should try to sign up at a gym in your own city- which, aside from being false advertising, was just plain rude. We never even got the chance to see if the gym itself was a good fit because we couldn't get past the front desk. Between this and the Yelp reviews I'm now seeing, plus the fact that the place wasn't even busy when we visited, I can't recommend giving them your time. I've been a member for a long time and have never had an issue bringing a guest--until this visit. From the moment we walked in, the front desk staff member, Fabrice, was rude, presumptuous, and unwelcoming. My guest was given an unnecessarily hard time while signing in, despite following the normal guest process. Fabrice immediately assumed my guest had previously been a member because someone with the exact same name had an account in the system. Instead of calmly verifying the information, the situation was handled in a way that felt accusatory. It was also made to seem like he was doing us a favor by "allowing" my guest to come in, even though he was legitimately attending as my guest. After further inspection, it became clear the account belonged to someone else entirely--the photo on the account didn't resemble my guest at all. The assumption was incorrect and avoidable. The interaction left both of us feeling uncomfortable, unwelcome, and racially profiled. Very disappointing experience. read more

There are a few things to comment on. First, the photos provided by the business are misleading and do not represent this location. The largest contributing factor to my rating is that basic equipment is kept inaccessible at the desk unless you surrender an ID, and heavy usage items like dumbbells and platforms are degrading without maintenance. Needing to go to the front desk and wait for handles every time you want to use cables means that you end up waiting repetitively all throughout the gym, even in the private areas marketed as a higher membership amenity. EOS markets itself as low cost, high value - and many locations likely are. This specific location is an anomaly of bad policy and slowly deteriorating equipment. read more

I've been a loyal EŌS Fitness member for over four years, and throughout that entire time my membership has always been in good standing. I've consistently made my payments without issue, which is why my recent experience was disappointing. Due to an expired credit card, a payment did not go through. I fully understand my responsibility to update my payment information and make the necessary payment. That said, I was surprised and frustrated to receive multiple phone calls on a Sunday morning regarding this matter. While I appreciate proactive communication, repeatedly calling a long-term member on a Sunday morning over a payment issue feels excessive and inappropriate, especially considering my consistent payment history over several years. A text message, email, or notification would have been far more respectful and sufficient. I value EŌS Fitness and the facilities, but I believe customer communication--particularly with loyal members--should reflect professionalism, discretion, and respect for personal time. Only cuz you changed name and changed a couple of pictures and designs doesn't mean you can't changed other things to make it great. Closing at 7pm on Saturday and Sunday is ridiculous. They should close at least at 9. Or make it 10pm Saturday and close 5-6 on Sunday. People work during the weekends and can't make it to the gym cuz they close early. DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM! Please read the entire review. Now for over a year I have been dealing with this gym, even before they bought out the prior gym (Gold's Gym). I have been trying to have my membership cancelled. When I went in and called over the phone the management/staff stated they cannot cancel my membership in person, only membership services can do that. They provided a phone number to call in order to cancel. So i called the number provided, mind you this is all verbal interaction not written so I don't have a way to definitively prove what was said. All staff and members of this gym/company were pointing the finger at everyone else to help me. However, it got to the point where I had to have my credit crd company block them from continuously charging me when I hadn't gone to the gym in months, now well over a year. Not current day they sent it to collections. I tried speaking with them and they advised the only way to fix it is to speak with the gym and have them fix it. Just pointing the finger again. Now collections just hangs up on me when I ask for help now. They don't even speak to me. They put me on hold then hang up or they just pick up and hang up. Speaking with membership services they point the finger at the gym management stating they actually can cancel my membership and that membership services cannot cancel it. So again, everyone is pointing the finger at everyone else. The excuse I got from all staff was that it goes against their policy to cancel my membership on their end and they will lose their job. So the solution on their end is to point the finger at everyone else and then send my gym membership to collections. The only other solution offered by the gym was that I agree to a "fresh start" 6 month membership as they called it for $50 per month and that would then wipe my debt clean and then they would update collections. OR I pay the full amount to them in the gym right then. They stated they themselves as managers do not have the ability to contact membership services in any way and had no phone number to contact (which is different from what I was told at the beginning of all of this, they originally gave me a number that sent me in an automated loop with no help and no solution). Mind you, these are all "managers" who have no capability now to contact membership services... So I call again today to get in touch with membership services. I was finally able to speak with someone after all of the automated loops. The individual I spoke with kept sending me in loops as well making excuses so I finally requested to speak with their supervisor. They continued for 10 to 15 minutes to try and convince me not to speak with their manager. I finally asked if they didn't want me to speak with their manager. To which they replied no and asked why. When I explained to them they gave me the same explanation of why not to speak with their supervisor 6 times it sure as hell sounded like they were avoiding helping me and didn't want me to speak with their supervisor. Then and only then did he transfer me to his supervisor. The supervisor then said he would have to write an appeal challenging my cancellation and wiping the slate clean for me and would contact me within 24-48 hours. We originally left this gym due to male staff going into the women's locker rooms while women change and are completely naked. As well as they did not enforce the policy to not record or take photos in the lockers where others change/shower and are completely nude and vulnerable. This made my wife extremely uncomfortable and she could not change or shower due to the gym enabling and allowing this behavior from gym goers (filming and taking photos in the lockers rooms) and their male staff seeing women naked. They did the same in the men's locker room where they continued to allow gym goers film and take pictures with all others trying to change and shower. Do not go to this gym. I am new to the area and I looked for a new gym nearby. I was pretty excited that EOS offered a 7 day pass. I signed up, input all my information and I received a text message with my pass CONFIRMATION!. The gym is 20 mins from my home but I'm excited to drive there, check out the gym, work out and most likely sign up. I got to the from desk, showed my APPROVED pass and she asked me for my phone number. She said she cannot let me in because I had a membership with them or golds gym in the past. I told her that it's been more than a year (website states that in order to get a pass it has to be more than a year). So I was not able to get in unless I speak to a manager. Manager won't be there for another hour. I drove 45 mins back and forth, took the time to sign up. I read the requirements and I get there to find out I cannot workout. Terrible service ! read more

I've been coming to this gym long before it became EOS, and I currently hold memberships at three other gyms because I enjoy training in different environments at different times. Today was genuinely one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any gym -- and that's saying something. Aside from how overcrowded it has become, the lack of basic gym etiquette is out of control. It honestly feels like half-off flyers were handed out to a local high school. Groups of teenagers were occupying three to four machines at a time, telling others they were "using them," even when they weren't actively working out. This is especially frustrating considering how limited the equipment already is -- to the point where members are required to leave their IDs just to borrow a basic cable handle. This environment has officially made this my least favorite gym in the Valley. Today was the first time I've ever come close to getting into an argument with another member over equipment scarcity and immature behavior. Management seriously needs to address overcrowding, supervision, and basic gym etiquette. A gym should be a place to train -- not a daycare where no one is held accountable. read more

They've been missing a bunch of weights between 10-35lbs for months with no sign of them replacing them. They're also missing a bunch of single handles for the cable machines and the only way to use them is to trade your ID and borrow some from the front desk. Really Annoying. I was excited when I joined a few months ago. After spending a few months working out at Golds Gym ( recently changed to EOS) in Northridge I realized that I should definitely switch back to my old gym. Facility looks modern at first but it is a rundown condition , especially bathrooms. Women's bathrooms have only one hair dryer that works out of 4. The bathrooms are not cleaned properly and women go to sauna and steamer in their sweaty gym clothes which is gross. Today they just closed women's bathroom for repairs for the whole day and they suggested to use Starbucks bathroom instead which is a quarter mile away how can a person who came to exercise not be able to use a bathroom during and after their workout? The gym floor is always overcrowded by youngsters who leave their gym bags by popular machines and leave the floor to chat with their pals while occupying space and most used machines. Not sure about their classes but it's freezing cold in the class auditorium and I came out there with stiff neck and a bad cold a couple times; In my opinion, it's not healthy nor practical to keep an exercise room at that freezing temperature with fans blowing from above onto your warmed up body, especially for more mature people. Same for private trainer exercise room that always stays freezing cold and extremely uncomfortable to workout at. The WiFi only works well in certain areas of the gym floor and mostly interrupts after 20 minutes of being there. Very frustrating when you are in the zone and your motivational music goes interrupted. Make sure you have your paying card always on file and valid. Otherwise you will be stopped at the entry and escorted to the sales team to "figure it out" like a criminal, very embarrassing. My membership was paid for and in good standing but because I changed cards, they kept stopping me at the access point and prevent me from exercise until I provided a new card on file. They are very encouraging to sign you up and take your payment, but discouraging when it comes to a sales desk customer service post sale. Anyways, my review turned out rather long and rather negative, but I hope new management will do something about these very important issues to retain more people to join and stay for good. I'm switching back to Planet Fitness Chatsworth which is even though a more simple facility but service is so much more welcoming and user friendly. Good luck read more
