We have been going to this optometrist for a few years now and couldn't be more pleased. My husband and I both wear prescription glasses and I also wear contacts. Both Drs are very kind and knowledgable. Today my 7 year old had his first exam and we chose some very nice ray bans for him. For the appointment Hubby went in w my son and when they were done Dr. Michael came out and explained my sons vision results. I appreciated that. Just went today as I have newly moved to area. Loved my entire experience. The staff was great and very helpful! Dr. Cajayon is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, professional and communicative. She answered all of my questions and thoroughly explained what I needed while making me feel comfortable. Honestly, she is the best optometrist I have ever visited. She is clearly very invested in her work and really taking care of her patients and it shows. The office is also great, very clean and organized and great choices for frames. I initially found this optometry office because I was looking for an authorized optician that carries Oliver Peoples. This was the only nearby office that carries Oliver Peoples... the next closest would be Brea or Pasadena. I'm really lucky I live around the area. I am so glad that I came in. The office is very clean, pretty new, spacious and very nicely organized. I didn't feel bombarded by a sea of frames. My initial visit was to just check out frames. The ladies were so helpful and were very patient with me as I was trying on pair after pair and taking pictures of myself for reference. The second visit was the vision exam given by Dr. Annelynn. Our conversation kind of went like this: Shulie: You really like my rings?? I can totally tell you where to get them, if you want! Annelynn: Awesome! Shulie: Sooo.. your favorite Oliver People's frames are..?? Annelynn: Wacks! Shulie: And what salad have you been totally craving?? Annelynn: Kale salads! Shulie: Did we just become best friends? Annelynn: Yep! HIGH FIVE! Okay, so it didn't exactly go like that.. BUT I srsly had the best time ever chatting with Annelynn. And yes, I'm still reviewing about a vision exam! Dr. Annelynn is so nice, very conversational, friendly, warm, pretty, sparkly, caring and just really fun to chat with. She's very wise and goes through every step with you.. Even showed me my eye.. my EYE. My ENTIRE eyeballs blown up on a screen and she explained how healthy they were, what everything represented, what functionality each area has and what unhealthy eyes would look like... which is not a pretty picture at all. Yelp never lets me down! I just moved to the area and was looking for a new optometrist after moving too far away from my old optometrist whom had gone to for 10+ years! From the moment I called to make an appointment, to minute I left the office after my appointment I was impressed. Everyone in the office is friendly and professional. I love Dr. Cajayon. She was very nice and explained everything-every procedure and test-she was doing and why she was doing it. I even brought my six year old daughter with me to one of my appointments and she played with her and kept her busy while I was I completing my tests. The frame selection is great, they have reasonably priced frames as well as the designer frames and I got my sunglasses back in less than a week which is way faster than my old Dr.-they would take 6-8 weeks! This is not a "snooty" office pushing high-end eyewear. Dr. Michael and staff are genuinely friendly and always welcoming, even if you don't sport a six-figure income. I have received excellent, down-to-earth care here for my three children at every visit. They also carry frames for every budget. Once again this place did not disappointment me. I had the pleasure to have the wife of the practice conduct my examination and she was just the sweetest most genuine person. Dr. Cajayon is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She is kind, professional, thorough, and good at her profession. She showed me photos of the back of my eyes, answered all of my questions and even remembered me though I hadn't seen her in a year. We used to love coming here but after dealing with 'Marla', we will most likely not return. The DOCTORS are WONDERFUL, but their staff could use an upgrade. We cancelled an order with them, almost immediately after we placed it (like minutes after), but they proceeded to charge our card anyways. Somehow the instant an order is received it is shipped?Apparently because the order was coming from overseas in order to cancel the order there is a $25.00 restocking fee, even though we asked them to cancel the order. This also does not make sense as my family went directly to the manufactures website, and they were available for $50.00 cheaper along with free 2 day shipping. I don't know why they are charging extra and telling me that I will have to wait 2 weeks for my frames when they are available now. Now have to call my bank and report it as fraud and hope I can get my money back. read more

It's been almost 1 year since I stepped into this place. It was almost 2 months before the Dr got my Rx correct. I would have gone elsewhere but I paid cash for the exam and 2 very pricey frames. After 3 months the frames still didn't fit. I walked out and took Rx #2 to a dedicated optician in the village. He hooked me up in about 30 minutes with new frames that look great and are so comfortable. Don't get me wrong, Dr Cajayon was very professional and very nice but I didn't feel that I was very well advised re what type of frames would best accommodate my Rx and suit my facial structure (I don't have special eyes/face). So there you have it, a blemish on what other yelpers feel is a stellar business. read more

Do Not Go To This optometrist Dr. Cajayon tried to charge me almost $2600 for Glasses, then I went and bought my own pair dropped off my prescription, they demanded I pay $512 for sunglasses and prescription glasses blaming it on the Lab that they're not able to fill my glasses. They have 3 optometry offices, I paid cash and they're holding my cash for 5-7 business day running their business on the American Express Credit card. I'm not even her patient. They said yes they would acknowledge the America's Best Perscription I paid for during quarantine COVID-19 and then now that their office is open and they're hurting to pay their bills and employees they're rejecting taking my COVID-19 extended prescription. This business should be reported to the better business bureaus!!! read more

Went here thinking I would receive boutique service especially since I'm paying boutique prices. Bottom line I did not receive that. I bought a pair of frames at $400 they were defected and was exchanged once. The second pair had the same exact issue... and they won't exchange it. The issue is clearly a manufactures defect but I the consumer got stuck with the problem. The doctors here should of stepped up and taken care of the problem. Where do I start oh yeah the doctors who are husband and wife are very nice but the staffing there is horrible the nightmare I experiences there Me and my family have been going to them for a few years and never experienced anything bad until they upgraded their staffing. Early this year I came in for my regular visit and to receive new frames. Well bad luck struck me where I was on disability and I could not walk for three months then all of a sudden I was getting harassment text messages from them. Then my child broke her glasses my wife went to them so they can be replace the staffing was rude and harassing her. When well I be able to pick up my frames when I told them I was on disability they didn't care at all they just wanted their money. So being that how we were treated a family of five will never do business with them again. read more

My family and I (including uncles), went to Dr. Nakayama and when he retired and Dr. Magdato and Cajayon moved into the building, we decided to stick with them. Fast forward a couple years and I just have to say...these two are the BEST at what they do. They are both very thorough and explain things so that anyone could understand.
