An appointment was scheduled a week out which was the earliest possible for our area. Today was the appointment and at 11:30 we had not heard anything so at 11:30 my wife called to check on the schedule. She was told it would now be sometime afternoon. 3 hours later at 2:30 I called to get a better time estimate. As I had been waiting on a tech since 8am I was not patient at that point. Rather than handle an upset long-term customer the representative did not accept accountability for subpar service and hung up. We will not renew our contract. Longhorn lost a long-term upfront paying customer. But I doubt they really care.

I'm an older, retired single woman. I heard that Termites were a growing problem here in our part…read moreof the state. I went to my local Facebook group and got a recommendation from MANY people for Classic Pest Control. I called and asked them for an inspection, and offered to pay for their time. They refused saying they gave free inspections and sent someone out within just a few days. The tech was a young guy. He went into my crawl space and came out in about two minutes. He assured me that there were termites as well as termite tunnels (whatever that is!) and that he could begin treatment within a few days, price tag $1,500. I can't explain why, but I just didn't feel right about him or his report. I called a realtor friend and asked her who she used for pre-sale termite inspections. She gave me the name of a gentlemen who wanted to charge me $65 to do the inspection. I gladly accepted as I believed that someone with no financial stake in the results of the inspection would give me an honest opinion. I told him about the previous report and that I just wanted to know, yes or no, did I have termites. After about a 20 minute inspection in the crawl space, he came out and assured me that there was no active termite activity and further, there was no evidence that there had ever been termites in the house. He actually said it was surprising based on the age of the house. I am beyond LIVID!!! I called Tracy, the Manager at Classic Pest Control. She told me that the $1,500 price was only for Preventative treatment, something which had NEVER been explained to me. The tech was talking about how the treatment killed the queen and the colony, as well as warranties and re-inspections. The word Prevention was never spoken. She said they had been in business for 30 years and had never had anything like this reported to them before. I don't know if Classic pays their techs on commission, which would entice them to sell an unneeded service.. Anyway, I hope someone treats his Nana better than he treated me.

I have found the personnel at Classic Pest Control to be knowledgeable, helpful and polite. They set up a schedule for us, and then they call us several weeks before a visit is due so we can choose an exact date and time that will be convenient for us. While we have never had much of a problem with pests inside our home, occasionally I would see the odd spider. I have not seen even one creepy crawly in our house since Classic Pest Control has been servicing us, and, in the last year, we have seen a marked decrease in spiders, ants and bugs in our shop/warehouse and outbuildings. They arrived on time as promised after I arranged an appointment. Both Kyle and his coworker were kind and well-mannered. They investigated the issues we were encountering after taking a look around the house. They also dealt with the issues. I was quite impressed. I asked to move his truck to HER side of the duplex& he refused. She just looked on& Siad nothing. SO IRRITATING!! I will call someone else. I had already had to call them yesterday because they called me with a set appointment, but they HAD set an appointment, the very next day, but they hadn't bothered to even text or call me. We were disappointed by the lack of flexibility and communication during what was already a stressful situation.
