We just did our kitchen and it's not an easy process especially the first time around. My wife and I are competitive shoppers and by being so we learn from one person to the next what we can expect and need to do. What materials we favor over others and most importantly the staff and how knowledgeable and helpful they are as they walk you through what can be a stressful and expensive procedure to accomplish the vision that's in your head. After visiting a number of shops we chose Westchester Kitchen & Bath. Why, because we were met and assisted by Sandy. Sandy is unbelievably knowledgeable, helpful, calm and knows his products inside out. He didn't try to persuade us in any direction just gave us the pros and cons on each of our choices in order for us to decide what would be best for us. He answered any questions that came up later by either email or phone immediately. There was no hesitation or delays which can make things more difficult when you are in the middle of this process. He recommend how we can go about finding stores for various items we needed. I have a set of Ultracraft cabinets which I bought used. They've been in my kitchen for 10 years, and were probably already 10 years old when I bought them. I damaged one of the doors, and wanted to replace it. My first call was to my local Ultracraft dealer. They told me they wouldn't sell me just one door, and they wouldn't even sell me a whole replacement cabinet, they would only sell me an entire kitchen of cabinets. To hear this from the cabinet maker's authorized dealer of course put me off. Then I called Westchester Kitchen & Bath a few towns over, who is also an authorized Ultracraft dealer. I explained my situation on the phone, and they were very accommodating and helpful. They said to bring the door in and they'd try to help me. I brought the door in the same day, and although the exact door wasn't available, they showed me one on the computer that was a close match, and I decided to order it and give it a try (of course at my own risk). I worked with 2 different people there who were both willing to help me, despite knowing that the sale would be small change compared to selling a whole kitchen's worth of cabinets. If you need Kitchen or Bath updating, I would definitely talk to these folks. read more

What can I say. This experience was a first for me: The showroom was amazing, but what I loved about it was the salesperson who helped us. Not only did he asked what we were looking for, he listened. He didn't try to talk us out of something or say we were wrong. He took our ideas, showed us what was available, and then sized the cabinets correctly. When the countertop we ordered became unavailable, he picked out ones he thought we would like based on our conversations and he was spot on. It was truly a pleasure working with him. For the renovation part of the project - WOW. The guys were above terrific. Neat, courteous, polite, and a total pleasure to be around. It was sad when they left, especially for the dog as they took the time to pet her every day. Never have I seen such professionalism. Other outfits advertise that they will respect your home, but these guys actually did so. They treated our project as if they were doing their own kitchen. They kept us involved every step of the way, and made sure we were genuinely happy. This was our fifth home improvement project, and hands down the best. It will be hard to find any team better. Looking at some of these reviews is really Disturbing how far from the truth it is and not sure who these people are that are writing them . I also happen to be a contractor who does a lot of work for people who buy kitchens from the store. None of these people with these complaints , I don't even know who they are or did I even price a job for them . And I definitely did not do the job for them because that's not how I operate. Maybe these people bought a kitchen from us and hired a contractor that did not work In a professional manor that had no affiliation to us , but that not we are about. As a business we have been in that location for 30 years for all the good reasons . So please don't let these fake reviews fool you. I can promise you that people posting these reviews are fake. I would like theses people to produce a check to the contractor that did this work and I can guarantee that it was not me or any contractor affiliated with us . This summer I was looking to renovate 3 kitchens in my house and I visited many places but no one impressed me more than Westchester Kitchen & Bath. Upon entering through the door, I was greeted by a sales representative named Sandy. He immediately showed me around the showroom showing me various types of kitchen cabinets. Throughout my visit, Sandy was a polite and acted like a gentleman. He explained and answered many questions that I had. The store allowed me to take samples home to so I could decide which one worked best for my home. Sandy went above and beyond his job. He came to my house take measurements and gave me recommendations to improve on the layout of each kitchen. His insights and suggestions was superb and precise. During the renovation process, Sandy was there each step of the way either by being present or by phone. In our open-plan space and with our love of cooking, the kitchen is truly the heart of our home. Shy at Westchester Kitchen & Bath played a huge, important role in what was basically a gut renovation of our kitchen. Even though the dimensions are on the smaller side (condo, not McMansion), she made sure to maximize every inch of space for us. She reconfigured the dimensions of the cabinetry, replacing a shallow pantry that wouldn't fit most of our items with additional, valuable countertop space and a more functional cabinet design. Shy explained each step of the process and helped us weigh among various options, providing (and at times, demonstrating) practical points of view. We also benefitted from her keen eye for design. I have a small to medium size kitchen in a co-op and this was my first time remodeling my kitchen. I worked with Shy R. from beginning to end and I have to say that she was a tremendous help to me. She gave me some ideas that I had not thought of and her knowledge in designing a kitchen is superb. After my cabinets were installed, I sent her pictures of the entire kitchen. From these pictures she noticed something wrong and called me right away. My contractor had installed one of the cabinets incorrectly. Thank goodness I sent her the pics, otherwise, my contractor would've gotten away with it. She was very diligent and patient with me. We had our kitchen redone this past summer - total gut and renovation -(a very scary process) but Sandy guided us through every phase. Sandy came to our home and gave us 2 different design options. Our kitchen was very old and odd shaped, so placement of appliances were a big issue, as well as our need for seating. We trusted him and we were so glad we did! He answered all our endless questions and was a big help when it came to picking out everything from cabinets, door pulls, handles, granite, back splash and appliances. He also coordinated with our contractor which was a huge plus. Pretty much everything was done in a timely manner, phone calls and e-mails were always answered and returned. Shy is my go to for all things kitchen and bath. I've followed her from multple employers. She recently redid my kitchen after a complete demo. She is very professional and accomodating of needs and schedules. Her wealth of industry knowledge surpasses every other designer I've met. I rely on her ability to devise plans to meet my needs. She considers all the real life nuances that I don't even know should be applied when making a decision. I dont have to know what I need just what I want and she makes it happen.. Unlike others in the field whom seem to just fit cabinets together like puzzle pieces no matter the appearance, her additional interior design degree makes sure the end result is always aesthetically pleasing.
