here to help your sanity. please for your own anxiety, sanity, and time, the financing option is not worth the complete ineptitude during delivery. there are so, so, so many other places that can accomplish the sale of appliance commodities and this place is just not worth it. $50k+ for wolf/sub zero/cove appliances and the 'last mile' experience makes every other part of their business worthless. should you choose to purchase from them, and should you experience damage to your doors, floors, cabinets or other assets during delivery, ready yourself for a frustrating experience with agitator in chief david glickman. i'm sure 'he's just doing his job'...but my goodness his approach makes the cortisol spike to unknown levels. did i forget to mention the cannabis perfume the delivery workers were wearing? fairly certain there is legal basis to pursue based on this experience and am in process to figure out if so. damage experienced: hand truck chipping sliding doors, rocks lodged into sides of boxes that are scraped across brand new floors. frustrations experienced: delivery hours outside of window, damage reimbursement taking weeks to get to answer, phone system redirecting to 'extension not recognized, goodbye' ends...i'm going to stop here at the risk of re-igniting the trauma. read more

We placed an order with Royal Green Appliance months ago for a client project and when we had to make a change due to existing building conditions several months ago they were happy to sell us a much more expensive option which we agreed to. In multiple communications they assured us everything was in their warehouse for months while due to delays in construction we kept having to push back delivery. We paid the full balance months ago in anticipation of taking delivery and they kept asking when we could take delivery as they were holding appliances in warehouse. Something is very wrong with the story and lack of information they are providing at this time. They don't seem to care! *On delivery day they did not deliver the wall oven and never mentioned it would not be on truck. *We called immediately and they said it didn't make the truck, that it was in another warehouse and they would schedule delivery. *The next day they said they didn't know where it was or when we would receive * And finally they told us the oven was back ordered and there was a problem with parts. *They had months to tell us this oven was backordered. *After many communications prior to delivery with sales rep to confirm everything was in stock it seems odd that when they didn't deliver they suddenly tell us this story about backorder and parts. Again something seems very off with this and the lack of their communication, customer service or sense of urgency is shocking. This is now costing move in delays, and sizable expenses due to delivery delay; kitchen cabinetry and other hookups can not be completed, client can't move in and there are large expenses the contractor will be looking for when they can finally complete all their associated work in kitchen. We are beyond disappointed and disillusioned by Royal Greens service at this time. read more

Replaced our 12-yr-old GE Cafe Range with the latest model. We were happy enough with the old range, until the hinge on the oven door broke; GE does not offer a way to repair the old hinge. That was a big disappointment, since the availability of a spare part would have saved us $2000. I believe GE corrected that in the new model. Royal Green had the model we wanted, at the right price. They even arranged to give us a unit they had been holding for another customer who was not ready to take delivery. Royal Green had a problem with delivery of an air fry basket we ordered. They shipped four instead of one. We decided to bring the extras back to the store in our car. So, not exactly seamless, but good enough. read more

However, we called to comfirm that they carried a specific brand that was on their website and the person on the phone didn't know, didn't check and just said all the sales people were busy. She didn't even try and made it seem like I was a burden. We decided to drive from New Jersey to see the stove we want before purchasing. We get there and they no longer carry the brand even though they are listed as a dealer. After little more than a year -- just as the warranty ends -- the fan broke. it will cost $480 to replace. Lesson learned -- best to get a low level brand from a less expensive store and buy the warranty. I ordered a refrigerator from Royal Green during the pandemic in mid-2021. Two models would fit my space: a Monogram and a Sub Zero. According to the salesperson at Royal Green, the Monogram could be delivered much sooner, so we went with it, even though we would have preferred to get the Sub Zero. In fact, at some points, he told me that the Sub Zero could not be delivered until 2023 or 2024. Now it's late 2023, and the $10K+ Monogram refrigerator has been broken for a month, with the company giving my family the runaround on repairs. (Monogram techs have now missed two appointments, and it is obvious that they still do not know what is wrong with the refrigerator.) I asked Royal Green if they had any customer service contacts at Monogram who could assist. They referred me to GE's 1-800 number. I also asked if the Sub Zero refrigerators still had poor availability. No, they had two that would fit our space in stock immediately. The entire experience leaves me suspecting I was steered toward the inferior (and catastrophically awful) Monogram because of a sales incentive. Royal Green made a tidy profit on a quick sale. I am out over $10K and have no refrigerator. read more

We have been long time customers of Royal Green Appliances on the Post Road in White Plains. Over the years we've put purchased various appliances however our most recent purchase was a built in Sub Zero refrigerator. We had been told that our 24 year old Monogram refrigerator would be impossible to remove without knocking out a wall. The folks at Royal Green were skeptical and asked if they could send over their guy,I think his name was George, to evaluate our situation. This was before we had signed a contract to buy anything! George came over, examined our aged appliance and assured us, that while it looked like it was attached to the wall, it would slide right out. And he was right. We bought our new Sub-Zero Refrigerator and we have been impressed with everyone from the folks who handle customer service, their dedicated sales staff and their wonderful extended warranty department. There are stores where you might be able to save a few bucks on a large appliance, but where are they if something goes wrong? A few days ago, we noticed that ice was built building up in our freeezer, after checking our manual, defrosting the freezer, we decided to call on a Saturday to see if we should have someone check out the problem. I was informed that Alan Alterman, who is in charge of their warranty department was off until Monday but I could leave a message or send him an email. I wrote a note, explaining that this was not an emergency and explained our issue. To my surprise and astonishment, early Sunday morning, Alan wrote back, asking for photos and working on his day off to try to assist us! Reading through multiple reviews, one can get a reasonably good idea of how a business operates. Had I read more carefully through Royal Green Appliances' reviews, I would perhaps have avoided the ordeal of dealing with them. In short, in using them as a vendor, if your appliance has zero issues, you will be fine. If there are any issues at all, however, no matter how small, expect to have to chase down someone at the company to resolve them and to be treated to abusive conduct on the part of their employees. Note that the negative reviews here almost all feature a long-winded, aggressive response from the "business manager." Clearly professional and rational customer service is not prized here. 1. Our high-end fridge was delivered missing a piece (the kick plate). No anger was expressed on our part and we trusted that we would have the part installed within a week as promised. 2. After a week we called to discover that our salesperson, Frank, knew nothing about the missing part for whatever reason, and had rather unacceptable suggestions to remediate the issue until finally he claimed to be ordering the part. He also passed blame for the lack of follow up. The suggestion? That we install it ourselves, not appropriate for a purchase of this kind or considering that SubZero is very clear on the machines' being serviced only by authorized repair people. It also took Frank three tries in the same conversation to understand that we did not have the part and that it needed to be ordered. No apologies were offered either. 3. After another week no part had arrived and it took an irritated phone call to get the part ordered, which Alan handled kindly and efficiently. His professionalism was very appreciated. 4. Rather than sending the installers back as we had been told by both the installer and Frank would be the case, we were informed by someone at the company that a certified repair company would be doing the installation. Again, this would not have been a big deal had there simply been communication as to why so that we could understand the change. When I spoke to another sales person there, they also confirmed that normally the installers come back to install any missing pieces, so clearly my confusion was not unfounded. 5. When I finally spoke again to Frank to find out why there had been such poor communication, he was abusive and insulting. He stated that I hadn't bought the fridge, that my father had. Beyond the fact that without being in our family he would have no means of knowing who was ultimately responsible for any payment regardless of whose credit card was used, the fact remains that it is beyond inappropriate to even comment on such a thing. He also yelled at me that I needed to listen to him rather than simply allowing me to express my concerns, and then moved on to calling me a Karen. Being called a Karen for wanting the missing part of an 11K refrigerator after almost three weeks is pretty rich, especially coming from an extremely unkempt Caucasian man. He also complained that I was "driving everyone crazy." Yes, asking for a missing part to be furnished to us after almost three weeks must really drive a company that sells fridges and didn't include the part really crazy. Yes, I ended up cursing at him after being abused for several minutes. 6. The "business manager" minimized attempts to complain about the abusive conduct, tried to suggest that being concerned about a fridge was inappropriate in the current climate (ok, but why sell them, then?), promised that the owner would call right back without explaining why she could not deal with the issue, and then had a ranting tantrum when the number that she gave ON HER EMAIL as her direct number was used to respond to her text via text and to call back when the owner failed to call back immediately as promised. I could add in the fact that Frank was oddly pushy about our switching from the tubular handles to the pro handles and that he was dismissive when I tried to understand why he was changing his suggestion to us (the pro handles are fine, but his manner and pushiness gave the impression that he was angling in some way and made us uncomfortable), and that the "business manager" subjected me to an odd "we girls need to stick together" line and to a hysterical rant regarding her personal issues about working from home and taking care of her kids, but that's just the bitter icing on our dumpster cake of bad service. I waited to write any reviews until our kick plate was finally installed on my husband's advice considering how vindictive Frank and the "business manager" have been. I am quite sure that the latter individual will be composing a vicious response as is her custom here. Happily, I have email and text copies of this entire three week adventure. I will leave it to our family attorney to deal with any commentary from her. read more

When we remodeled our kitchen, Jeff was able to help us out and gave us a great deal on all of the appliances and helped us maximized the incentives offered by various companies. We also went back to Jeff when we needed a wine fridge and a third time when we needed a set of commercial washers/dryers. Second the comments about great services. When things didn't go as planned (especially this year), the big box stores would not be able to provide the level of service that Jeff can. Plus the prices are EXTREMELY competitive! Unless you know for a fact that after you purchased a product from Royal Green Appliances you won't have any issues with it (which, of course, you can't...) - I would recommend you to stay away from this company and purchase your product elsewhere. Don't be fooled by the seamless and efficient purchasing process (and it is - hence why 2 stars and not 1), and by the knowledge and expertise of the team members. Because if my experience is the norm at Royal Green Appliances, then they will do little-to-none to rectify any problems after the purchase is complete. We needed to replace our Sub-Zero Fridge with a new model. We presented Royal Green with the model number, information about the fridge, photos of the fridge and the wood panels covering it, etc., and then placed the order with them. When the fridge was installed, it turned out that the handles (to open and close the fridge) that were ordered were the wrong ones and new handles needed to be ordered. The new handles were to arrive a week later, and, as such, for a whole week we needed to literally 'struggle' with the fridge every time we needed to open it; either bend all the way down and pull the door from the very bottom, or stand on a stepping stool to pull the door open from the top (my wife and I are short, what can I tell you!). This is more than a small nuisance; the weekend in between the installation and the arrival of the new handles we were planned to host a party at our house and needed constant and frequent use of the fridge, so you can imagine that struggling with the fridge 100 times a day is not ideal... I called Royal Green and described the issue. The sales rep referred me to Jeff, one of the managers. I spoke to Jeff and explained the issue to him as well. I said that this fridge was a major investment for us (it cost about $14K...) and that, for that amount of money I would have expected more due-diligence on the handle types, etc. At first, Jeff tried to completely disown the problem, staying that it's not their fault that the wrong handles were ordered (is it mine??), despite us providing his team all the info that I stated above, at the time of the purchase. He went on to dismiss the whole thing as being a problem because, according to Jeff, I have a working fridge and that's what matters. He said he was sorry that we are in this situation. I asked if there's anything more that could be done above and beyond being sorry, to which he abruptly replied: "not going to happen". 2 Stars... read more

You spend so much money on appliances and when you try to follow up on your order no one picks up the phone or returns your call. You have to get in your car and drive to the store to then be told that they will follow up and call you back and they never do. I've had several delivery times and the driver NEVER shows up during the time I was told the driver would arrive. When I called to voice my discontent instead of receiving an apology from the store representative I was questioned and asked if I was home for the delivery. Why would I lie or not be home for a delivery I want so I can complete my project? Truly a disappointment because I was recommended to the store by my contractor and have spent over 20,000.00 on appliances. We placed a very large order from Royal Green with a very specific time line. The delivery date was pushed back twice, which I understand can happen. What I cannot understand is how several appliances were delivered with water damage inside of the appliances, but no one saying anything to us and the outside of the appliances looking completely fine. We only found out after each brand new appliance started to having issues within 2-3 months of owning them. First the fan on the refrigerator wouldn't work, and that was repaired. Next, the dishwasher stopped working and the repair man opened the dishwasher to find mud caked all over the control panel. Lastly our oven started to give off a burning smell each time we used it - a different repair person said it had clearly been damaged in a flood and could have easily blown up/started a fire had we had continued to use it or lit any additional flames with the gas running. We tried numerous times to contact Royal Green about these issues and were constantly ignored and referred to the brand of our appliances, when the issue was very obviously Royal Green trying to pass off damaged appliances, rather than refund us a percentage or replace the items. I will absolutely never purchase anything from there again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. read more

When my husband and I walked into Leibert's Royal Green six months ago, we knew absolutely nothing about appliances. We were there to purchase a full suite for our about-to-be-remodeled kitchen. Oh sure, we had bought a fridge here, replaced a stove there ... but this was different. We sat down with Alfred, who asked us questions about what we needed, looked at our floor plan, and made great suggestions, telling us everything we needed to know about each brand we were considering. He spent a good half-hour with us before we actually decided to order our appliances from Lieberts Royal Green. They are not cheap, but we really needed a knowledgeable person to help us figure out what we needed, and we got that in spades. No pressure, just sound, helpful advice. Alfred even figured out a way for us to get a rebate after purchase! The appliances were just delivered today and they are gorgeous! Literally didn't make it in the door. We were shopping for a full set of kitchen appliances and our contractor recommended Royal Green. I called for hours and info while driving to the store. The woman on the phone was beyond rude and asked us who we were coming to see. I said I don't have a name, but I need to make a decision on appliances very soon. She kept saying "if I don't have a name I can't help you", to paraphrase. We wound up going to Village Appliance in Portchester, where they actually want to help you with your purchase and decision-making. Hard to imagine a less customer-freind So after multiple people telling I'm wrong to discount this store, I went back, without calling this time. The fact is, this is an excellent showroom, and once you find a staff member to work with, they all seem pretty knowledgeable and helpful. I needed a new refrigerator, so after doing my homework on pricing and availability, I called Alfred at Royal Green. He had helped me previously with appliances that were a tricky fit, as my kitchen was rebuilt around some existing appliances that were no longer available. He immediately informed me that there were supply chain issues, and that there could be a lengthy delay, depending on the model that I chose. I had something very specific in mind, and could deal with the wait if I were able to get exactly what I wanted. Fortunately, Alfred is a patient man, because I had him send me comps on over a dozen models until I found what I wanted. Several conversations (and measurements) later, I finally pulled the trigger and placed the order. When the refrigerator came in, he worked with me to get it delivered on a day the worked for both me and my wife. Royal Green actually sent 4 people to my house, to remove the old unit and connect up the new unit. To my horror, when we pulled the old unit out, we realized that it would not fit between the countertops! After reviewing our options, the guys decided to remove the doors and lift the refrigerator out horizontally over the countertops! They did the same with the new unit, and carefully reassembled it in place. I could not be happier with my entire experience with Alfred and Royal Green! I unhesitatingly recommend them! read more

I am so disappointed with my experience at Royal Green. We spent over $30k on a kitchen appliance package there. The salesman ordered the wrong oven/range combination, which we didn't realize until it was delivered. In the meantime, the specs for the wrong range were given to my contractor, and so the space now does not have the proper hookups for the right range. When I made this known to the salesman, he said that the cost to modify the hookups was too much and he wouldn't cover it. So he reordered a different range (not the one we originally wanted but we just wanted to be done with it and move on) to replace the wrong one. That was 5 months ago. There's been no word of where it is since then. When I inquire as to the status of the order, I get attitude that I'm even asking about it. This is a $12k appliance that I'm just left wondering if it will ever arrive. After spending this much money I'm appalled at the level of customer service I've received. read more
