The assessment nurse was kind: however I say this respectfully..I couldn't understand what she was saying because she had a heavy accent. She went over his medication and assessed his body, took pictures of wounds etc. she did not do vitals or anything. (I don't know if that was a requirement) We were not provided with any medicine or supplies. Not even a little starter kit until something came in the mail. Friday My dad was having labored breathing. I called the 212-609-1920 and they advised me to give him some morphine. Ummmm with what you guys don't give us anything. NO INSTRUCTIONS. NOTHING. I had to call 911 - he was unresponsive. He was rushed to the hospital on Friday afternoon and passed away early Saturday morning. My recommendation: DON' T USE THIS SERVICE!!!!! I am going all the way to the top with this complaint. I won't rest until I get proper ethical change with the company. It won't be about money. This is about PRINCIPLE.

Dr. Alyssa Delucci was the attending vet, and I can't say enough good things about her. She was direct, competent, and clearly cared -- not just about the medicine, but about us as worried pet parents standing in the waiting room. Shay, Thea, Bri, and Lauren were all part of the team that looked after Didi that night, and every one of them treated her like she mattered. A few days after we'd left, Dr. Delucci reached out just to check in and see how Didi was recovering. That kind of follow-up isn't something you get everywhere, and it meant a lot. Didi was stabilized well enough to transfer to Cornell for surgery, and she's doing well now. None of that would have been possible without the work this team did in those first critical hours. In just 12 days at The Grove, we have already had an in-person care team meeting. Together, we agreed that my mom should see a specialist physician. The meeting was yesterday at 1:00 PM--and by this morning, I had already received a call with an update confirming that the physician had seen her. If that isn't true care, I don't know what is. Do not hesitate to bring your loved one here. They will be fully taken care of with patience, compassion, and dignity. And just as importantly, the family members are also supported and treated with kindness. We will forever be grateful. So besides needing eye drops for glaucoma and a cataract she required Prednisone. Well we all see these commercials for wonder drugs ( the wonder is why we take them with all the side effects) so even though the Prednisone gave my girl relief it slowly started to effect other systems. Last week in what appeared to be overnight she slowly stopped eating but only drank. That was a red flag. Took her to an emergency facility which was a nightmare. Four hours sitting around waiting for some diagnosis. Every so often someone would come out and give some empty info. Finally a vet came out and provided me with a 3 page plan with an estimate that sent me to the cardiologist. This where Zen Dog comes in. Based on the diagnosis and the plan with no light at the end we felt the best most humane course of action was to euthanize. Spoke with Dr. Ray., he could not have been more understanding and compassionate. He showed up at the house took the time to explain the process. Once comfortable with what was going to happen he started. Dr Ray gave us time to be with her and comfort her until the end. It was a very tough thing to deal with but she went with family around in her home and peacefully. If anyone who reads this is at that point with their beloved pet, Zen Dog is in my opinion a great comforting option
