I did use them only once to fix my tv and he and his grandson did a nice job.. He and ANGEL his grandson are friendly and Knowledgeable and I need them again to fix my HOSPITAL BED but they don't answer when I call. I think they may be out of business. I wish I could find someone else to fix my bed. I WONDER WHY ALL THE NEGARIVE REVIEWS CAUSE I felt great when they left my home. These two fellows never answer my phone when I call. When the motor that raises the foot of my aunt's Tempurapedic bed went out, Westchester TV was the repair company that Tempurapedic used. The part was delayed by the holidays and bad weather back east, but this company was highly professional and responsive. When a piece that attached the motor to the bed was missing and Tempurapedic couldn't supply the part, they made a replacement part that made it possible for my 92-year-old aunt to continue using the bed. They had to come out twice and gave us a 1-hour window for arrival. They were polite, professional and accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to refer anyone I know to them. read more

This is an update. If you read below this, you'll see my other post about the horrible service we got from this owner and his grandson. As previously stated, this man lied and said we had roaches so that's why he didn't want to return. Just so you all know, supposedly, this TV shop can also fix Tempur-Pedic beds. I had to wait around a week for Tempur-Pedic to send someone else. They never did. Instead, they insisted that I send pictures of my room to prove there were no roaches. I couldn't believe it. Because of this owner from Westchester TV lying like he did, I had to wait around an additional week and had to send pictures proving it's a lie. On top of that, it was Thursday so they said they wouldn't get back to me until Monday. Flash forward to Monday, no call. I called them back on Tuesday. They told me they were unable to find someone. They told me they had to mail out our part and gave us a manual to learn how to do it ourselves. Lucky for me, I have someone here who can do that, but the question is why should we? These unprofessional people from this TV shop were supposed to do the job, but for some reason didn't like us. Obviously, Tempur-Pedic is now aware there are no roaches at my house, but the fact remains, this guy's lies cost me an additional 1 1/2 weeks, on top of the week I was already waiting for him to call because he said he was going to but never did. I've never ran into businessmen like this in my entire 50 years of life. I hope I never do again. Either Tempur-Pedic wasn't paying much for him to come down, or he just doesn't need the money that bad. I'm unsure, but business is business in my books. Not a great way to get word of mouth around or get Tempur-Pedic to call him back for someone else. If you're reading this owner or the grandson, I have severe disabilities. I need my bed. You could have said from the get-go that you were not interested for whatever your ridiculous reasons were. You didn't have to lie. It cost me more pain for days. I see you've upset quite a few on here as well as other sites. I'm really not shocked. Not a good way to keep or run a business. What gets me about you is that you have no legitimate reasons for doing what you do. We were kind to you. You should be ashamed of yourself. I'm still angry after all this time now. read more

If I can give this guy Robert & his hole in the wall tv audio repair shop it would be a negative -1 star...he was so unprofessional & rude & I ask him a question about my receiver that was going 2 get fix & he went off on me over the phone. A few years ago I called them to see if they worked on the model my mother in law had, 55in Magnavox Projection Screen - we talked for a few, told me they could adjust it- tune it up- for $200. made an appointment, they came and picked it up. Dropped it off a few days later and it worked LIKE NEW. Suddenly I had much less need to spend 2000 or more on a new LED or LCD of similar size. I was amazed; friendly fast accurate service. Westchester TV is the only place I know of in Bakersfield that fixes outdated electronic components. I have (had) a Magnavox VHS/DVD player/copier that needed work. They don't make these things anymore and they are VERY expensive to buy online. Two times Robert fixed my unit and it worked for about a year. Then something else went wrong. He couldn't find the parts. He found the parts but the guy was trying to rip him off because they are so hard to come by. Then he finally got them (a year has gone by now). Then the shop got flooded. He would never return my calls. And yes, he is a little short tempered to say the least. I finally gave up. It wasn't worth the hassle. I feel sorry for the guy. I only gave him 2 stars because he did fix it the first 2 times. It has been over 3 years now. I'd like to call but I'm afraid that I'll get the same runaround. It's too bad he's the way he is because he really does know his business. He needs our prayers. Maybe he has a problem we know nothing about. read more

No rating whatsoever..............-10 rating. This grumpy old man, Robert, picked up my TV from my residence. At the time of the pick up, the agreement was for him to disconnect TV (unmount TV from wall) and when TV was fixed, for him and his rude grandson to mount the TV back unto the wall. After holding my TV for more than a week, Robert brought the TV back to my house. Robert attempted to mount the TV unto the wall, but couldn't. His grandson just stood around surveying the house. Robert became agitated and stated he couldn't mount my TV, as per the initial contract. Robert stated he would take my TV back to his shop and hire someone to install the TV the following week. After the weekend, I went to the store and attempted to retrieve my TV. I requested the pick up/delivery fee be waived. Robert stated he would not waive any fees and demanded the entire amount. I attempted to calm Robert down and informed him that what he was doing was unfair. Robert stated he had consulted his "attorney" and was informed he would win the "case in court." Though our initial agreement was to pay via credit card, Robert was now refusing to release my TV unless I paid cash. Robert went on to state he would never deliver my TV to my house again. Robert stated either I paid him cash, or I would not get my TV back. Leaving me with no other alternative, Robert got his way; I paid him cash and brought my TV home. I will never do business with Robert at Westchester TV Service again. Frankly, I believe the positive reviews written on Yelp are on behalf of his grandson - as a decoy. Terrible experience. He holds items hostage. Long delays in obtaining items. Backs out of original agreements. Robert is very unprofessional, but his grandson is worse - rude beyond words. First off, let me start by saying I've never done business with such shady characters in my life before! Back in October 2015, I took my JVC component double cassette deck to them because they "claim" they can fix this item. I made several calls to them from back then in October to just recently (January 2016) asking if it was fixed yet. Robert (or the man with the white beard) states they're way behind on getting customers' items repaired, the other employee has been sick for awhile, and hasn't got to mine yet. I told Robert I would give him one more week and if it wasn't fixed by then I will just swing by and pick it up. Robert stated he would have it fixed himself that day and I can pick it up the next day. So coming all the way from Visalia (because unfortunately there are no audio cassette or circuit board repair businesses in Visalia), I drove all the way out to Bakersfield the next day to pick up my cassette deck. When I got there, Robert states he never had time to work on it yesterday other than replacing the belts the first week I gave the unit to him which is a simple 1-minute job (I could've done that!), explained the items that still weren't fixed on this unit (which was all foreign to me, should've made him write it down on paper because I'm not gonna remember that!), did not apologize, dust coated on top of the unit, and just walked off and said he won't charge me anything. I'm surprised he didn't charge me for the belt replacements. Robert never phoned me for anything as far as updates or even when he didn't have time to work on it that day...he could've told me at least! Other than the belt replacement, this guy did not lift a finger to help me! I just calmly walked away, out the door and left Bakersfield and back to Visalia in a heartbeat upset. All this because a friend recommended them to me...that was a HUGE mistake! I might have known something wasn't right when I got there at the Buck Owens Blvd. Plaza (3628 Buck Owens Blvd.) just to drive way way way back near the end of this mini strip mall (if that's what you want to call it) wondering if there's some kind of illegal drug activity going on the way this area looked. I took the 47" Vizio tv in. They plugged it in & told me it was 1 of 3 things. I told him was sound & no picture & it happened suddenly. He said if it happened suddenly it would be only 1 of 2 things & the price was $18 apart. Fixed within 3 days, was back screen lights & cost $164.49, exactly what I was told it would be if that particular thing was wrong. They had no problem holding it for 2 weeks until I got paid. This is THE ONLY PLACE I WILL EVER TAKE A TV, & I have been to many, in many states. This place is both KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HONEST, as well as inexpensive. read more

What a wonderful experience. I called for repair, they picked up my TV the same day, called me like the same day like they said they would. Repaired my TV in one day, unlike another place I called that was going to take 2weeks and delivered back the next day at the time they said they would! Plus it was so reasonable. Westchester TV had my Television for 2.5 months and still couldn't fix it. They never called to give me updates on its status, and when I picked it up to have another place try and fix it, the guy at Westchester TV just said, "Here you go". I didn't get an apology or anything. They're unreliable people who don't know what the hell they're doing. Do not deal with. read more

These guys are the worst ever. Do not bring anything there unless you want to forget about it. I brought my receiver to them in June 2017, they said they could fix it. One month later , I paid them , picked it up with the same problem. I took it back.They had it for 3 more months and gave me excuse after excuse, beensick, too busy, other priorities. Kept telling me I will get to it next week. I went there and told them I was going to take it somewhere else and send them the bill. They gave me my unit and my money back said FU and slammed the door. I think the only reason they are in business is they still have 90% of their customers items and have done nothing with them.
