His response was that everything dies. Surely, plants die but not one week after purchasing them if they are healthy plants at the nursery. Just know that you are rolling the dice buying plants here. The owner won't do the right thing, no integrity, and doesn't guarantee anything. He's also quick to anger and speaks in a low class manner. Just to think, had he been courteous and exchanged the plant I would have been a loyal customer for years. His unprofessionalism is costing his business money.

They will get it for you in a 5 gallon, 15gallon or 24-gallon size. Our 60-year-old Myer lemon tree died over the heat wave we had in September 2022. I am cutting it down and want to replace it right away. Called Exotic Garden and Jimmy the owner is ordering our new lemon tree with fruit already on it. Jimmy has a been the owner for over 15 years. He has his Gardening contractor's license and is full of knowledge. He has the soil recommendations and fertilizer that will keep all of your fruit trees happy. They have a full selection of Palm trees, privacy bushes, hedges, succulents and decorative plants. Exotic garden is very large and the trees and bushes go a long way. Look at my photos. As you go down the gravel road you can walk in and see trees with fruit all over. I highly recommend Exotic Garden for any of your tree and garden needs.

This little paradise felt like back home with the fragrance and royal beauty of its rare Persian trees and plants . Justin is very nice and knowledgeable about plants. The high prices are justified for the rare Persian specialties. For the rest of the plants, I am not knowledgeable enough to know. They do not offer free delivery. They also do not offer planting services unless you buy a certain number of trees and the owner approves. I wish they did. Some of us are not able bodied and need a little help planting. Despite the prices, we will come back in a couple of months when it's cool enough to plant and grow and buy what we can afford. Who knows, maybe by then they will offer planting services for a fee. Parking is limited so go early.

I found via Yelp that Paradise Nursery had an array of different types of citrus trees along with other fruit trees that I was interested in. The yellow brick road led us to a very busy free and down to the outskirts of Chatsworth. The exit from the freeway was easy and it took us straight to the nursery. I drove into the parking area and got out into the hot sun!! Citrus trees everywhere!!! It was quiet...strange. I thought there would have been more folks roaming the nursery. Guess what I found out that day as the owner (Shawn) was walking towards us. They were closed and I was trespassing (kidding!) he was nice enough to allow us to stay and find what we wanted to purchase. I felt bad. And also embarrassed at the same time. But here we are. Sixty miles away from home and all I wanted were the lemon trees. Shawn told us we can roam around and see if there was anything on his lot we would like to purchase. After a few minutes of checking out the citrus trees, my older sister wanted to see if there were other "species" of lemons. Lo and behold, she found the Buddha's' Hands and was adamant about bringing one home. Of course I couldn't say no to her so we got a 5-gallon one which had two fruits bearing the stem and then I found a mini Myer lemons and decided to bring both home. The trees came to the total of $118.00 and I cannot be any happier than to have forced my way into Shawn's nursery that day. He was a good sport and answered all the questions I had regarding taking my new plant babies home. Please note the nursery is closed Sunday and Monday. They also do delivery of your purchase to your home or office. I will be stopping by again and I promise this time, it won't be on Sunday!!

I've driven by many times and never saw it in spite of the dinasours at the entrance. It was a wet rainy day, which added to the ambiance. Prices seem reasonable, and selection plenty. There was a guy there who was super knowledgeable and nice. This experience, however, was so off that I felt compelled to share it. I'm assuming the gentleman who helped me was the owner, although I can't say that with certainty. From the beginning, the interaction felt unusually unwelcoming and dismissive. I came in looking to purchase approximately 30-40 plants, which is a pretty good-sized order. The plants were already on the expensive side because they came in relatively small pots. When I first asked about ground cover, I was immediately told to go somewhere else. I then showed him two plants I was interested in, and he said they would work. I asked if there was any discount or flexibility if I purchased a large quantity. He just stared at me at first, so I clarified that I was hoping to negotiate the price because of the size of the order. I was then told that if I purchased 12, I could get one free. I said okay and decided to purchase two plants first to take home and see how they looked. Despite the initial interaction feeling uncomfortable and being told to go somewhere else, I really liked the plants. My husband and I decided that we were willing to purchase the 30 to 40 plants regardless of the interaction or price because we liked them that much. I returned only a few minutes later and said, "I'm back. I'd like to order 40 of these." I then asked if the one plant I had literally just purchased could count toward the quantity, since I had bought it only minutes earlier and was now placing a much larger order. The response was simply, "No," accompanied by a smirk and a laugh. I was honestly shocked that, knowing I was prepared to purchase 40 plants, there wasn't even a willingness to consider counting the one plant I had purchased just minutes earlier toward the order. At that point, it wasn't really about the cost of one plant. It was about the way the interaction was handled: dismissing me to go somewhere else rather than helping me find the right plant in his nursery, staring at me when I asked about purchasing in quantity, and then being unwilling to consider the one plant I had just purchased while laughing about it. I was genuinely surprised by the interaction and ultimately just walked away and said, "You know what, forget it." I've dealt with businesses where the customer service wasn't great before, and sometimes I've simply tolerated the uncomfortable interaction and proceeded with the transaction anyway. But this interaction felt so careless and rude from the beginning that I just couldn't bring myself to proceed with a 40-plant order. Unfortunately, I left feeling that my business was not wanted, so I took it elsewhere. Update- I found a place for half his costs , local and exact same plants! And the people are nice! Three big wins!

They have a great selection of everything at very reasonable prices. And if they don't have it, Home Depot is a block away. Store hours are pretty accommodating too, 10 AM to 7 PM Monday through Saturday and 11 AM to 5 PM on Sunday. Even though I'm a aquarist, I've visited twice just to look around and have found some gear better priced than online or at LFS. I picked up an electronic pH tester and a bottle of reference solution for less than amazon! I wish I was a hobby horticulturist as I would be able to purchase more from Green Acres, they are a great local business with friendly staff and great prices. Check them out!

We stopped back through for a tea and honey tasting in the afternoon. I can't say enough good things about the staff at Topanga nursery. The grounds are surprising. You really have to see it because you can't judge it from the street. There are community classes and activities. Follow their IG and FB pages then go to their website to view a calendar. You can go to the Just Vibes grab a custom coffee and then walk the grounds and speak with the staff about what they offer there as far as trees and plants. They also have beehives and in their gift shop they have every variety of honey you can think of as well as lovely gift items from books to body care to jewelry to honey. It is a hidden treasure in the San Fernando Valley. It's a fun day out for families with kids and just by yourself. Go check them out!
