Updating my review from Saturday after the company no showed or called. This morning I received a call from Patrick who was adamant about fixing the issue. I was very reluctant due to the past issues. But, Patrick changed my mind and came in a did a phenomenal job at a very large discount. But, I didn't have an issue with their performance. Just the lack of customer service. Its 5 stars for the quality of their work and Patrick's dedication. 4 stars because the lack of customer service and if it's his employees causing the issues, then he may need to clean his own house. NO CALL NO SHOW in Tustin !!!! I looked on Yelp for a good carpet company and chose this one. Patrick called me and we set an appointment two days later at 11 am. We moved serval pieces of furniture and many other things and planned our day accordingly to be gone to let it dry ! By 11:30 with no call from Western or Patrick I started calling him. It went straight to Voice mail which was full. I called several times over the next hour and same thing. Finally at 8:30 on a Friday night 9 HOURS LATER, Patrick called me and tried to tell me our appointment was for Monday at 11. He reached out again and called me today. On the phone, Patrick accepted his fault and again apologized to me. He offered a complimentary cleaning but I already had my carpet cleaned this time. He then asked me to remember his business when my carpet/tile/upholstery cleaning is due. I must say that Patrick takes his business seriously and does go the extra mile to satisfy a customer. I'm no longer disappointed and will definitely give Western Carpet Care another chance. On Dec 22, when the cleaning team didn't show up, if I had called and reminded Patrick, I think he would have sent a team to clean my carpets immediately. Let's be honest - writing about carpet care isn't exciting; it probably ranks up there with curdling - not to be confused with curling; and that's just as boring ;) Nonetheless, it's something that needs to be done. Over the course of the past 10 years, I've had the carpets professionally cleaned at least 3 times from other companies. Looking back, it was a forgetful experience; I even posted a review (09/2013) but that was for the sales team since I had to repeatedly ask them to take me off their distribution list because they misquoted often: likely a sales tactic (i.e. they quote you over the phone for say $80 regardless of sq feet, and upon arrival they jack it up to $120 PLUS another $20 for some special chemical that probably does jack shit but hey, you've just spent over 66% more than what you intended to). . . sorry, got off topic but it provides good back story. From what I understood, professional carpet cleaning is recommended to be done every 2 years; but after my unpleasant experiences I just relied on regular cleaning (bi monthly); and the DIY power vacuums you can get at Ralphs/Albertsons. It wasn't until recently where my wife made it a point to get our carpets cleaned - mainly the wear and tear and especially us having 2 cats. Naturally, she took it to YELP to find someone credible. Here's how it went down in our search for the best: The first one was L A M E. I wont' mention names (consider yourselves lucky); one person was overly eager to come over the same day when my wife initially inquired. The conversation went something like this: My wife: "Hi! How much would it cost to clean 500 sq ft of carpet?" Carpet Cleaner: "You live pretty close to me, I can come today, will that work?" Carpet Cleaner: "How does 1pm look, I can head over?" Carpet Cleaner: "?????" Carpet Cleaner: "Are you there? . . . ???" It looked like a cringe-worthy text for the overly-anxious. Wasn't hard to pass on that one. The second one was L A M E R: My wife: "Hi! How much would it cost to clean 500 sq ft of carpet?" Carpet Cleaner #2: "Great question. We focus our cleaning efforts based on the thickness of the carpets. Depending on the year(s) and the average activity that you and your family partake in, our strategy is customized so that the results match closely to what is ideal. For instance, your carpet, over the years may have accumulated. . . BLA BLA BLA" No disrespect to anyone who constantly works on mastering their craft - but my wife was looking for quote - not a novel of a response. And from the way it sounded, I wasn't prepared to hire some high-nuclear powered stainless steel machine of SUCK. This ain't rocket science bish! Moving on. The third one... BOOM, we got a winner: Within minutes, someone actually ANSWERED the damn question with a set price per square feet. No high-pressure sales, no overly eager stalker coming by and certainly no 'custom-1000 word diatribe' of what it takes to clean our friggin' carpet. Patrick, from Western Carpet Care, was straight to the point. He promptly responded to my wife's inquiry and set a meeting within a couple of days. He also took the time to explain to my wife that their cleaning process is organic and natural without any harmful chemicals - safe for children and pets. When he arrived, it was all business, with a smile and a Phillies' baseball cap. The results were great - our carpet looks brand new. What I also appreciated about Patrick was that he was sincere/genuine enough to ask how my wife found him on yelp. He inquired about his competitors to get a feel for what are some of the best practices to further improve his process. (hint hint) He's the winner and ought to be the example going forward. I am not sure where all of these great reviews are coming from. I scheduled an appointment with "Patrick" the owner who came referred by my apartment complex. Patrick answered the phone when I originally called, he said the computer system was down so he told me to text him my address and remind him of the appointment time (WEIRD). Day of the scheduled carpet cleaning which was supposed to be at 10am - NO CALL NO SHOW! So, I called the number he gave me 3 times, to which different women were answering speaking in Spanish and other accents. Fine, but then when I was catching on, and asked where Patrick with Western Carpet Care was at, another female answered "Oh he's already out doing carpets" and HUNG UP!!! What a joke! Something went really wrong here. I am assuming it is not the owner's style to leave a new customer in the lurch but the lack of effort is really surprising given the 5 star reviews here. I scheduled our first cleaning service with Patrick for 1pm on Saturday after two phone calls to discuss specifics and price. There was a no-show around 1pm and no call. I had to call to learn that there was some personal emergency and Patrick promised to come between 3:30 and 4:00pm. I waited till 6pm, and there was still no-show and no call. I spent my Saturday afternoon unnecessarily at home, and now have to schedule another vendor. I'm not sure what happened here, but clearly there was a lack of effort here to let a new customer know that it was not going to happen as promised so I could make other timely arrangements. I have used this company for years and this time I just have to write a review about how amazing Pat was cleaning my carpet because my dog has been marking all over my carpet. He used some magic solution to get rid of that nasty dog pee smell. I had some hardcore stains also because I have a son who constantly somehow makes a mess on the carpet. I have exclusively used WCC for my residential carpet cleaning needs for approx 5 years now. Patrick, the owner, has always beat the costs of rival companies and is AMAZING at getting the toughest stains out of carpet (red wine, mysteries stains - even black tar soot from the annual repaving of nasty tar in our carports)! Patrick is prompt at returning calls, always very friendly and professional both on the phone and in person, and accommodates appts within a short time frame (days and up to a week). The carpet deodorizer (or cleaner) used is awesome at getting funky smells out of the carpet too. Once I found a dead rodent behind furniture in my living room and Patrick got both the decomposed bugger out the carpet as well as the horrible smell.
