It's obvious that there is a problem here. I'm not the only one that dislikes the receptionist's attitude. For visual purpose, let's say you ask a question. She looks at you, pauses, blinks slowly and looks away to answer your question. Today I went into Western Dental to start the process of getting four implants. I was very nervous, but I have to say that from the moment I walked in the door, everybody was smiling and pleasant to talk to. And also when I started having my work done, I was so nervous. But they were so gentle and so comforting. It was a very nice dentist appointment. I'm not sure if I've ever said that before, but it honestly was everyone was so gentle and comforting that it made a very pleasant visit. I am so excited to get the implants put in and I highly recommend getting implants at Western Dental. ALEXA and DR.FUNG made me feel so comfortable. They were awesome. read more

First appt I waited for an hour, got X-rays. Set up next appt. Went back today and waited for 44 minutes and left. Todays appt was at 9am which says to me that they either do not come in to keep appts or they just have no idea what they are doing. Update 2/15/24. Trying to get my X-rays from this office. They put me on hold and then disconnect me after holding for 15 minutes. Stay away from this company. They are spectacularly awful. read more

went to get a regular check up and cleaning and told me i had to get a deep cleaning, well almost $3,000 later they did deep cleaning on areas that it wasn't needed plus made me get some trays that i didn't wanted and never explained to me that i would have to pay for them and that my insurance wasn't going to cover for them. poor customer service and i have a credit on my account that is over 2 months that i haven't received back. don't recommend at all. would give them negative stars if i could. plus front desk very rude and takes a long time to get seen about 1 1/2 hours after your appointment time your barely getting called to the back. terrible service. also i have had deep cleanings before and the one here wasn't as good as the others. the other places they need to numb you because it is a deep gum cleaning and here they didn't even do that. it just felt like a regular cleaning. Why schedule me at 9 when the doctor isn't there. What a horrible experience I had while in their care. I had originally had an appointment for my son to go there for a cleaning, but it turned out to be an adult clinic only. I ended up going instead. The dentist was a bit rough during the cleaning of my teeth. Also very pushy in selling me an implant and both The Spanish tall lady and the Indian lady are both rude! Office No. 286597 (according to my insurance carrier) at 1160 W. Yosemite Ave., Manteca, CA 95337 -- NO ONE CHECKED my gums, cheeks, tongue or under my tongue FOR GROWTHS OR OTHER ABNORMALITIES! Every dentist I have ever been to, until now, made a point to put their fingers in my mouth, run them along my gums and cheeks, had me stick out my tongue and lifted my tongue to look underneath, even underneath the sides... My appointment was for 0900 on 21 Feb 2023. I arrived at 0842 to fill out new patient paperwork, but the office was closed. According to Google Maps, they open at 0900. No schedule is posted on the front door. The first employee arrived and opened the front door at 0848. Another employee arrived at 0854. I was let in at 0859. I interacted with several Western Dental personnel, but no one introduced themselves to me -- not the dentists (there were two -- I think), nor the technicians, assistants, front/back-office staff, or hygienist (she might have been a technician). One or more of them could have been an owner. No one offered their name, or title. And they scheduled my 6-month appointment without input from me about my availability. My first appointment lasted approximately 1.5 (one and a half) hours: 12 minutes for new patient paperwork, 15 minutes with two different dentists (or one dentist and one hygienist), and about 20 minutes of x-rays. That's about 43 minutes of walking, waiting, and declining dental services in writing. Less patient down time would improve my rating of this dental office. More meaningful interactions with everyone above would also improve my rating. Keep it simple. Tell me your name, title, and what service you are going to provide. Before you leave me in a room, tell me who is coming next. If you do not know what dentist or technician will show up, say something like, "The dentist and their assistant will be here soon. Again, my name is ______. Have a good day." You could also say, "Hello. My name is doctor ______. I am going to deep clean your teeth. Hygienist _____ will assist me." This location had me coming in for an extraction and I had called and let them know I did not want a human bone graft. They had me come in for the extraction and then when I was there they told me they wouldnt do it unless I agreed to getting and paying for a bone graft. The office manager was very pushy, and the first day I was there she was extremely pushy and did not listen to what I wanted. I definitely do not recommend this location. Book in Stockton or the other Manteca location, do not go here and waste your time or money. read more

Really bad experience with wisdom teeth extraction. Very minimal interaction with the ones in the surgery room. It's like they didn't care for the patient they were operating on. Was awake the whole time. It hurt even with anesthesia. Cried but assistant said it was the "anesthesia" when my mother asked why I was. I couldn't speak. Had me wheeled out the door before my mother was even there. It's like they wanted me out right after surgery was finished without telling me what to do for recovery. They left me by the back exit door like a piece of trash. I even tried to roll myself out with the wheelchair they left me in while they were chatting all the way across the room. Overall extremely uncomfortable experience. After this, I can't say this place is worth going to. Find someplace with more professionalism. This place is not it. read more

Don't go here.. I've done a checkup. I bought a gum treatment here, and they sent me out on a referral to get a procedure done. Got it done. Call back, and they left me a message to call back. I did so I and they can't find who I am... wtf.. so I finally went through and got an appointment went back and they were going to do another x-ray for what they already done.. they put me on hold.. wtf... don't go here go to a private own dentist this place is coporate commercial profit dentestist you are just a number... they don't care who u are they are just processing u as a number to make there money. read more

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the dentist was honest and straight forward. My Dad is usually very worried before being seen, and was very pleased with his experience. We have been to other dentists that exaggerated what our needs were in order to make more money. So it was a relief to find a dentist with integrity. We will be going to our future dental visits. I did like the modern facilities. People were pleasant. Dr Milan took his time explaining his course of action. I did feel that all the advertisements for Gumx were not in line with unbiased care. Sure enough, I was prescribed to get a Gumx appliance also. I'm not saying that the appliance is not good or necessary but it seems suspicious given all the ads. read more

NO STARS -10 from me.. By far the worst dentist office ever. my appointment was at 9:45 I was there at 9:30 AM I was not called until 11:05 AM they took my x-rays and had me sit down. The dentist comes by checked my teeth says everything looks good would you like a cleaning today like "no shit" that's the whole reason why I scheduled my appointment , was for a cleaning he walks away doesn't say I'll be back in 20 minutes nothing. then I get transferred to a different chair and a lady has me sign paperwork saying I need to sign this this is the procedure that the dentist went over with you today. I told her the dentist didn't say anything to me other than everything looks fine no cavities 1145 comes by and still nothing nobody comes up to me to say it's gonna take a little bit longer which is absolutely aggravating because I've been there since 930 I had to ask them at least four times how much longer is this going to take I don't have all day to be sitting here I walked out to the receptionist and I told her I will never be returning this is absolutely ridiculous not sure if they're over booking or what but I will definitely not be going back especially how it looks inside it is rundown looks dirty doesn't even feel comfortable sitting in there feels like you're in a hostile movie worst dentist office ever!! And on top of that everybody in the back has no courtesy to say hello good morning how are you today. Don't waste your time don't waste your money just find a different place to go to promise you you will be very disappointed with this place. The only nice person was the receptionist. On top of that the person doing my x-rays just shoving this hard plastic in my mouth isn't even nice about it. If the flea market had a place to do dental cleanings I would most rather go to a flea market to get my teeth cleaned because at least I know that they're nice and that they take my time seriously and my money seriously Their office is horrendous there's splash marks all over the filing cabinets the floors are dirty not that I'm getting my teeth cleaned on the floor when you have people spending a good amount of money on getting their teeth done or cleaned you expect the place to look nice and comfortable not everybody likes going to the dentist but at least some pictures of something nice would be good like I said this place is just disgusting and not worth the time the money nothing at all as other review says say just don't even bother I don't even know how they're still open looking at the reviews after I've been sitting there for an hour I should've just left but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and sure enough I was let down. If I could give zero stars I would. They always overbook patients and make them wait way to long. You have an appt at a set time yet you sit in the waiting room for an hour or longer. This place is a joke! The parking here is horrible. Never enough space due to then overbooking people. I've had to take my mom here many times and it's always at least a 2 hour wait. Edited to say the "dentist" who talked to me today was Dr Jinjuwadia per the name on my prescription. I cannot stress enough, the reviews are right, do NOT go to western dental. I've been in pain, just got approved for Medi-cal so I called around and western dental was able to get me in today, when I made the appointment yesterday. I was recommended a female dentist on E Yosemite by a coworker and I called to make an appointment there. The girl scheduled me at the wrong location, whatever, I was in pain and needed it checked out. The assistant was WONDERFUL. She was so gentle taking the X-rays and was so polite and sweet. The male dentist on the other hand, didn't introduce himself and was TERRIBLE. I asked him to be gentle and told him where the pain was. He immediately pokes the area super hard and I yelped and started crying immediately. His tone was super harsh and told me this is what happens when you don't go to the dentist (I had already explained that I hadn't been because I couldn't afford it) ... he told me it was going to be about $5k for the work I need done even with medí-cal. I knew it was probably going to be a bit of work but this dentist was absolutely terrible. He gave me a prescription for pain meds and an antibiotic but didn't tell me what the antibiotic was for. Told me I had gum disease but didn't say how far it has progressed. At the end, the assistant gave me a number for a facility that may be able to do things at way less cost and was super sweet as were the receptionists at this location. But because of the dentist, I will never be back to a western dental. Oh! And the dentist wrote on my referral paperwork that I have a "behavioral issue- anxiety" ... well, if his bedside manner hadn't been so terrible, I wouldn't have had that problem. read more

I had an emergency visit at this office 7/22/17. My wait was 1 hour, which wasn't bad considering how busy they were. The girls at the front desk were all very friendly and professional. I had full x-rays done and the dentist explained everything in detail. He even had extra images done to really see how far the infection had spread on my bad tooth. He recommended a course of antibiotics and pain meds before doing any work which I agreed to. The girl that explained all my financing options was incredibly patient with me while I decided which route would best suite my budget. Overall I was very pleased with the care I have received so far at this location and will review again after having my work done. The cons, the dentist chair areas could be cleaner. I'm not able to get all the work I need done because it's VERY expensive. Though I understand there's been changes to the entire insurance system and that part WD cannot help. read more
