This is a horrible dentist I've ever been in my childhood! I had a wisdom teeth and I was scared and they treated my like shit! They were extremely rude and filthy and they take almost an hour to get me ready. So I moved my dentist to Ventura county and they were nicer than this place. They don't cure cavities and they give used toothpaste and toothbrushes instead. I had to leave this dentist after and I heard about a new dentist in Ventura county. A couple weeks ago, I brought my nephew in for a couple fillings on his baby teeth that needed to be done. He was very nervous about going to the dentist and we have been trying to build his confidence about it for a couple weeks but once we got there he was nervous all over again. When it was time for us to get called back the office looked very busy. When I asked the front receptionist named Maria if it would be okay for me to go with my nephew. she looked annoyed at me and said she would see but they usually don't allow people back there. I expressed that I would like to be with him & he would be better with me in there. Once the assistant called us back I explained to the assistant taking his X-rays that he was nervous and anxious about being there. The assistant named Melanie was very nice, friendly and professional. Once we got sat down in a room, I LOVED that they had Cartoons on and drawings available plus this alien looking doll with a lot of teeth that my nephew loved! I spoke to three assistants in the back and they were amazing! They reassured me that my nephew will be taken care of and spoke highly of the doctor my nephew will be seeing. After speaking to the dental assistants I felt a lot more comfortable and confident about the doctor. The dental assistants were amazing, professional and fun to talk to while we waited patiently for the doctor. Their names are Maira, Claudia and Alondra. Once the doctor arrived he spoke to my nephew and I about how important it is to keep good habits at home, stay away from sweets, juices and brushing after we eat. He was very nice, professional and funny. Dr. P is a great doctor and I was impressed by the treatment my nephew and I received while in the back. I would definitely come back because of the dental assistants and the great doctor we had during our appointment. But I'd advise the front receptionist to take down notes from the team in the back. read more

I really recommend Western Dental Kids. The ladies in the front are really nice and don't hesitate to help. The playroom they have is really awesome. Great distraction for kids who are scared of dentist visits. They have good kid friendly music playing at all times and cartoons on the TVs as well. My daughter loved Dr. Vartak. She was really nice to her and Ali was extremely awesome! He shared his tips on how to floss and made the visit fun and fast for her. He explained everything before treatment and after treatment & answered all questions we had. Super helpful and friendly. Western Dental Kids makes a dentist visit fun and stress free not only for my kids but for me as well. My kids left with a balloon, a toy and a backpack. They can't wait to go back! read more

This dentist practice is unbelievably unprofessional ... DO NOT GO HERE 1st my older daughter was told she has a cavity in her rear baby tooth and needed a filling they only do metallic fillings not the white fillings ... oh well whatever ... 2nd we schedule the appointment they make it seem as if we REALLY needed to get this taken care of ASAP but tried to make me make an appointment for 3months away... wtf !?! They saw my frustration about the situation and receptionist with the Scorpio symbol tattoo on her finger seemed to have a bit of an attitude, we will from this point forward refer to her as ... so said with an attitude. We don't have any appointments available but we are gonna squeeze her in this one time ... oh god bless your heart just PLEASE PLEASE take my money I don't need it at all! DO NOT GO HERE Anyway... so we rescheduled the appointment for a month out miraculously because they had an "opening" and we return a month later ... I had both my daughters with me because they had scheduled BOTH my daughters on the same day to get a check up and a filling within the same hour. I think that's okay I'll go on with one , once that's finished I'll go in with the other right ? WRONG! They proceeded to tell me nobody can be in the room for the filling .. keep in mind my daughter is under 10years old ... why would I allow you to stick a needle in her mouth and I not be present? .. let's take a second and let logic set in.... So I say "umm no, I'm gonna be there for the proceedings" they say " well okay YOU can be there but the other daughter cannot, and we can't leave her in the lobby so.." let me take time to say Duh! Of course I wouldn't leave my younger daughter in the lobby for an hour what type of people do you think you're dealing with?! Wtf?! So after a bit I say let's reschedule for a 2nd time .. we do so for another month out... and it comes to end of August. DO NOT GO HERE Fast forward to TODAY... my wife and I go and take my daughter OUT OF SCHOOL to go to her dentist appointment that was set 1 month prior just about ... and no courtesy call as a reminder to come in date and time days ahead nothing ... but whatever we knew what day it was , we show up to her 10am appointment at 9:30-9:35am we start to fill in the covid paperwork and the receptionist says "oh btw the original dentist isn't in for a family emergency has happened , but the dentist that will do the procedure doesn't allow ANYONE in the room at the time". Now , let me ask you reader ... your child is going to get a numbing needle in her mouth , she's deathly afraid of needles AND she has no knowledge of this replacement dentist , never seen him/her , doesn't know him/her , and wants at least one of her parents present to ease her apprehension. They just say NO... What would you do? We didn't bring up the one of us being in the room did... apparently it was in the notes ... apparently ... anyway i say as a father why I would want one of us present cuts me off and talks over me , I say can I speak with the dentist says No , they're with a patient .. okay I'll wait , says well you can always go to another office ... DO NOT GO HERE ! Moral of the story , professionalism ISN'T in their job descriptions or resume .. since they switched to this practice it's been all down hill ... they over book, they double book and overlap appointments . Then they get mad at us the family for coming in and asking simple questions... DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE they're likely doing funny business and it isn't good especially if their main demographic that They're "serving " ( and I use that term loosely) is kids IDk if you've seen the periodic coded message within this post... but DO NOT GO HERE ... they don't deserve your money or your insurance to pay them ... they should be under review and possibly shut down.. yeah I said it and tattoo girl should be fired and be doing something else less people oriented. I took my nephews over there, I am so impressed how Dr Massi goes above and beyond everything, he was very passionate about explaining the diagnostic and making sure that the kids get the best treatment. Believe me not all dentists take the time to explain the X-rays and making sure you understand all the details. I love how they make the kids at ease and talking to them in a friendly and happy way. Plus the staff is amazing, Jackie is very professional. I love my experience here at Kids Dental Care. Dr. Massi is a very good doctor who takes care of my children every time we come in. Jackie is always at the front desk to welcome us in every time. She always has a smile on her face & enjoys being here with the children. Ali does a good job at distracting my children whenever they tend to get nervous or scared. Went here after waiting a whole month for an appointment, I figured it's a pediatric dentist that had great reviews what could go wrong ! Well I arrived 15 minutes early to a very dry and cranky receptionist-I had provided my information of insurance more than a month earlier but she didn't seem to know anything about my info. I had to wait 15 minutes for her to figure it out and then another 30 minutes to see the doctor. When we finally were called back no happy greeting for my two young kids and another 15 minute wait to get X-rays. Then the doctor finally saw my son and mumbled some work he needed done walked off and disappeared for 20 more minutes barely touching a tooth. Then he reappears with no apology and continues to look at my daughters mouth for 2 minutes . No toothbrush for my babies no advice in caring for their teeth just walks off again. I brought my three-year-old daughter for her first check up and everything went great(First Visit) at the end of the visit I was told my daughter had 3 cavities. I made an appointment to get Treatment on her "3 Cavities" when we arrived I was told by the receptionist that the doctor scheduled to see my daughter does not allow parents to go in with their child... only the nurse is allowed and my daughter will get a secure blanket. My daughter is 3 years old her Dad and I will never allow her to be alone with the Doctor let alone have a secure blanket on top of her? What is this a freaking (Restraint) on a toddler. I denied Treatment... so we decided to take her to Sugarbug Dental which is an awesome office and parents are allowed. To my surprise my daughter does not have 3 cavities there's a tiny little cavity that the doctor does not feel like she wants to drill on because it's so tiny. I'm very disappointed in kids dental office!!! NOW I see why the doctor does not want parents in room since my daughter did not have 3 cavities! what was he going to drill on? Well what can I say walking in I felt welcome all the staff are very generous and professional they really are here for the children my kids were very scared my daughter 7 my son 6 and my smallest 5 both my children received fillers yes they were silver but they are baby teeth and with the proper care the cavity won't grow to the adult teeth also my son received a extraction I couldn't enter the room because I had to watch my other children but they did so good with him he didn't even cry they really know how to treat the children here I was so surprised they also got to take some gifts home for doing so well and let me say the waiting time and lobby area is fun yes highly recommend read more

I took my foster daughter here and will NEVER take her back. She needed a "filling" per the dentist so when I took her back to get her "filling" she did not get one. First they asked me to sign a consent for the "heavy blanket." Then they told me I could not be in the room with her (2 1/2 years old) and I said forget it we are leaving. Then they miraculously found a dentist who would allow me to be in the room. We got in the room and the "blanket" was a full body restraint system which tied her arms and legs down. Two assistants had to hold her head down while the dentist put a "CROWN" on her. I was never told she was getting a crown. My foster daughter was so traumatized by this event and quite frankly so was I. I've called around to other dentists and explained how they use this "blanket" and all the other places told me it's inhumane and that they don't use them. Now I am going to pay out of pocket for her to go to a GOOD dentist where they will give her anesthesia or gas to relax her and have that crown removed and a proper filling put in. I cannot warn you enough to NEVER take your children here. If you do your children will always fear the dentist. read more

He always enjoys coming to the dentist cuz of how friendly the staff is n how he is able to play games in the arcade room for Free! Which I find great! KDK is AWESOME!! I took my little brother to the office and he loveeed it! Have you ever heard of a child crying about LEAVING a dental office? The place is amazing- very clean and child friendly. There is a game room for the children to play in while they're waiting to see the doctor and the walls are hand painted with cartoon characters. My little brother felt very at ease in the office because of how well they cater to the kids. The doctors and dental assistants are all very friendly and patient. The front desk staff is attentive and also very friendly. The office manager, who sits in the front, is very kind and amazing with patients. She treated us as if we were family. This place is so great that I recommended this place to my Vista bus driver, who later took her granddaughter. She thanked me later, and gave me pretty much the same review I'm giving now. Wow!! I am so impressed by this place! It's Amazing! And Dr Sahar came to my daughters preschool, to give the kids a presentation. My daughter fell in love with her and begged me to please take her to see Dr Sahar. I was given an appointment right away. The girls upfront even handle my paperwork, I was barely done upfront, when Adrian called my daughter in to see Dr. Sahar. Unfortunately my daughter had an infection and needed to have a tooth pulled out. Maggie talk to my daughter and explain what they were doing. She made her feel Safe and secure. When my daughter finished Dr Sahar walked her out and went over a few instructions with me. But what really won me over was that the next day Jackie called me and asked me how my daughter was doing. Not only do they care for my child at the moment she was in the office but also cared enough to follow up the next day! They really made me feel Welcomed and right at home. Thank you girls... Horrible experience!! It was my son's first time, we had to wait half an hr before they took us in. When they did take us in, the "dentist" just came & tried putting his fingers in his mouth without saying hello. I said that I wanted the dentist to see him first. We have taken our grandson to this dental office, since it opened. We get great service, the office staff is friendly and helpful, and the dentists are GREAT with every child!! I highly recommend that if you have little ones, you bring them to this office!! There is a game room where the children can play games as they wait t be called. And for the older "tween" kids, there is a viewing room where they can sit and watch whatever is being shown on a large screen tv. Once the kids are in "the chair", there are smaller screen flat TV's where they can watch the Disney channel, and it helps to distract them. We have always been treated with great kindness by the staff and dentists. Everything is always explained in detail regarding his care and after care we should perform at home. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My first appointment was to get a cleaning for my two sons. I waited almost two hours for them to brush my children's teeth and call that an annual cleaning. At my son's second appointments, which was to get caps & fillings done, I felt totally attacked and disrespected by the dental tech. He spent 20 mins trying to get my to leave my 5 year old son alone in the room when he had to get novocaine shots! They didn't allow the pre-numbing gel to sit for even 30 seconds before giving him the shots and my son was in so much pain that he literally peed his pants. The list goes on and on for how mistreated I felt and how rude these people were. I will be paying completely out of pocket for dental care now rather than going to see Western Orthodontics. The front office is nicely decorated and they had arcade games for the kids. That's pretty much the only nice things I can say about this place. When I made the appointment over the phone, i asked how long at most I should expect to be there. I was told that i would be done no longer than an hour. My appt was for 11:30 am, I arrived on time. The front desk person informed me that we would be called in in about 10 mins... 30 mins later (all while other people who arrived later than me were being called in) I complained that we had not been called in yet. 12:15 pm we were called in by the dental assistant who did not introduce himself to my nervous child. He immediately wanted to take X-rays without asking if X-rays had been done before. I declined the X-ray. I asked how much longer we would have to wait. He told me 10 mins. It is now 12:30pm when I decide I can no longer wait. I asked to speak with the manager, who I had to wait for also. Her response to my complaint was that others who were called in first needed "different" procedures. Well then why the f*** was my appt scheduled before their "different" procedure?! I took my 4 kids here and what can I say at first it was great staff was friendly and Doctors were great the only thing I didn't like is that while I was waiting for my kids to finish with treatment I was waiting in the waiting area and I could hear the receptions conversation i mean talk about being loud and they were right next to each other as the other girl in the front was trying to help another parent but they didn't seem to care that their conversation was being heard by everyone one that's very unprofessional that was the first time I went the second time I went it was the same thing but this time I heard one of the girl cursing we are in a "kids dentist" that I REALLY didn't like .. read more

I recently took my children in for a 6 month check up. To my surprise, only X-Rays and fluoride were put on their teeth. When I asked the dentist if they were not going to do a cleaning she stated that they would be putting fluoride. They dentist put fluoride on my children's teeth without cleaning them beforehand. I was very concerned and confused so I called them and asked if that was a cleaning or a check up. To my surprise the receptionist said that it was a cleaning. I was baffled and stated that throughout all the years that I have been to the dentist, never had I received a cleaning were only fluoride was applied. Cleanings should last at least 30 minutes. I stated this to her in which she got very upset with me. My daughter's previous dentist took so much time and care in cleaning out her teeth and I let her know that even a previous dentist never just put fluoride on my children's teeth, but if that was the way they did things then there was nothing I could do, then next thing I know, I no longer had another person on the line. I am completely baffled how a dentist office can try to say that was a cleaning. I guess what they want are parents who don't ask questions.
