Terrible, honestly i can totally relate to the other reviews with 1 star. I would never recommend Dr Haddad. She has poor bedside manners and her attitude made me feel that it's only money that she cares about. Her intentions are clear. She didn't even check my teeth on the follow up, just wanted me to get more things done. Scary she has a practice. The whole office environment is toxic. It's likely coming from the top. The worst part, the Invisalign dragged out 2 years, maybe 3 and she shaved down my teeth!!! Worse than when I started this process. I had veneers done by Dr Haddad, and I am so happy with them! From the consultation to the finish, Dr Haddad listened to what I wanted and made the small changes to make it happen. She was meticulous, listened to my needs/concerns, and communicated clearly. She's so detail oriented that she spotted a couple cavities that my regular dentist hadn't noticed. After the veneers were on, she made sure that my bite was comfortable and correct. All of her staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Before meeting Dr. Haddad I had a really hard time going to the dentist. I never looked forward to it as a kid and I always felt uncomfortable when I would take a trip to the dentist. I've been there twice only because I got suckered into buying a teeth whitening deal and it happened to be this one. I thought this was close to my house but NOOOOO, it took me an hour to get there in the morning because of stupid traffic where it should have only taken 20minutes tops. This location is just not very convenient because it's on so many bus routs, all the streets around have construction (permanently?), and to top it off, the freeway exit is closed! Ok, enough about GETTING THERE. So once I got there I was greeted by the receptionist who's not very happy (confirmed it this morning for the second time) and then (I suppose) the hygienist who assisted me is a bit testy. I thought so the first time but again, this was confirmed today. When I told her "I thought I was getting a cleaning first" when she was explaining how the whitening works (duh! I just told you I've done this before). She said in a very snotty way, "I'm just explaining how this works and the doctor will come in to do the cleaning." The office is nice with big windows but the chairs are separated by one of those cubicle divider rather than real walls so you can hear next patient's drilling, suctioning, grinding, and lecture about how you have to floss more, etc. like they are speaking to you. Otherwise they are equipped with seemingly high tech equipments (though I'm no expert) and clean. That's definitely important. The whole cleaning experience was "meh"...I've had better, more thorough cleaning that actually ends with flossing and the tooth brush and stuff but not this one. Once the polishing was done by the assistant, young and charming doc strolled in but I was literally done in 15 minutes from polishing to cleaning and no flossing. Not even clean minty rinse. Oh well, I think I was the "freebee" that they had to just do the service because I'm not their normal customer... Sorry, my usual doc, I will go back to you in 6 months ;) read more

I am so glad I got the promotional whitening deal they offered years ago. I believe it was about 3 years ago, I was wanting to find a new dentist from my last awful, inattentive, would rather text than discuss my teeth dentist and this promo that I got lead me the awesome, extremely friendly and very professional Dr. Radfar. Going in I definitely wanted a whitening and it was great because the formula that they used for me was great for my very sensitive teeth and they ended up looking great. While being there for the whitening I had a cleaning and X-Rays and the regular check up stuff that I definitely was overdue for since I had been putting the dentist off. During it all Dr. Radfar informed me of the benefit of braces for my bite which was off and causing me to clench and grind and resulted in neck pain. Luckily he offers Invisalign and I was on board to better teeth without unsightly braces. My last dentist didn't look into any of this stuff and said all my x-rays and teeth looked great and there wasn't even any cavities (which was not true.) Dr. Radfar was so accommodating for me because of my type of plan for insurance I had to have the initial stuff done before the end of the year and I had gone in around Xmas time and he was able to squeeze me in very last second before they (like most dentists) closed for a few weeks for the holidays. Unfortunately after a while my jaw ended up being too stubborn, as can happen with adult braces, and I had to switch to regular braces reluctantly. Even during the switch over, Dr. Radfar and his staff were again SUPER professional and understanding and just wanted the best for me and helped make the transition as easy as possible. Now for my husband, he REALLY hates the dentist and it was like pulling teeth (ha!) to finally get him to go to the dentist and he def made the right choice by also going to Dr. Radfar. He ended up being diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and Dr. Radfar had him set up on a sleep appliance. It has helped my husband sleep better and all through the night which never would happen before and it's all around better for his health and teeth. I have been a patient at Beach Cities Dental for almost 5 years and the staff is so very friendly, they are all professional and know me and my husband by name whenever we call in or walk in. It's so great to get the level of service, professionalism and overall be in such a friendly environment when visiting this dentist office. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I originally went to get veneers; however, I was told I needed Invisalign first. After getting my teeth shaved & jaw shoved, I was committed to the process. After 10 weeks, the Invisalign didn't work & my teeth were shaved even more. I was told to get a second set, of Invisalign & wait for as long as it takes to get my teeth into position.... I was also told that they'll call me to schedule a follow-up. Fast forward 1 year late!!!! STILL in the Invisalign, using it daily. I was totally forgotten about! I had severe jaw pain & had to come in. Dr Haddad acted like it was my fault. She didn't even check my teeth & asked if I was ready for my Invisalign. I explained that I was not ready & wanted to take care of my jaw pain, first. Her tone of voice and body language changed as she probably though I wasn't going to get Veneers. I felt that she only cared about money & not the quality of her work... not to mention, I had these beads on my teeth that were stained because of the Invisalign... they didn't even want to clean the area that was affected... said it was $100. Then tried to sell me a $450 mouth guardsI left worse then when I can in!!! UPDATE... I was contact by the doctor. She apologized and assured me she makes enough money and is only in business to keep her clients happy. She offered Me a refund.... however, once she noticed that the refund was a substantial amount, she said she'll call me back. It's been three weeks and still haven't heard anything!!! 100 percent... Had one veneer done on my front tooth. I like the factor that the doc wanted to get the color perfect. We went thru 2 different labs and 3 different colors. If your patient he will get it 100% right. I didn't have to pay for two veneer just to get the right color match. No one can guess which one is fake. This staff was very professional and friendly. read more

If there was a -1 this practice would get it. DO not make the same mistake as myself and the other customers. They are unprofessional and violate PRIVACY (Hepa regulations) to the max. Hygienist is inexperienced and poor appearance herself. No clients in there, but when they had to discuss something "personal' and highly embarassing, they did so in front of my young daughter and the entire "FISH BOWL mentality. Also when I went there in the past they seem to have a revolving door of Dentists and they didn't open until 12 noon the day I was in. My first visit to this dentist, on new insurance for just a routine cleaning & exam. Was lured my many good reviews, but this was probably my most uncomfortable dentist visit ever (in 20+ yrs) - even though my teeth & dental state is good, and only needed my teeth cleaned. This is a hard sell office on all the processes & procedures they can offer. They shuffle you into a business office afterwards to work out a "Dental Services Plan" which in my case included questionable services & procedures. My history here is with Dr. Haddad. Really great experience after not being to the dentist in a long time. I haven't missed one appointment since, I'm "in and out" quickly. Dr. Haddad is also skilled with tooth reconstruction and repair. The reconstruction she did on my front tooth was instant, painless and flawless. I recommend you at least give them a shot. I made an appointment with Beach Cities Dental Group to have my teeth cleaned by Dr. Radfar, but instead he talked me into having another set of x-rays ($175) taken and a front tooth filled ($75). OK, I'll go along with that, however, I don't ever remember paying up front for services not rendered. Even though I have been a patient for many years, yes, I still I had to pay up front. Now I'm at $250 and I still don't have my teeth cleaned. He told me that I would have to have a deep cleaning and the cost would be either $2000 or $4000. I asked the bookkeeper for a copy of their fees. She told me that they don't have a fee schedule. What! Two days later the filling he just put in fell out while I was flossing. Then I saw Dr. Haddad and she told me that I needed a crown instead of a filling and it would cost $5000. And I still don't have my teeth cleaned. The bookkeeper (not either doctor) told me that I had gingivitis and that I would need more appointments for that. Huh! What is gingivitis? Oh I believe that term was invented by Listerine. The dynamic duo dental team, all dressed in all BLACK have had their last kick at the cat (me). I made an appointment with another dentist for a second opinion, but Beach Cities Dental Group will not release/ email me the x-rays as they say their computers are down (now for 4 days). Do I have to expose myself to more radiation? Are they liars? Are their machines really down or both? Can they not stand-up to second opinions? Do they just want retribution? Whatever it is I'm out $250 with what I believe is shoddy dental practices in my mouth. My teeth have not been cleaned and I still have a chipped front tooth. read more

THIS REVIEW IS IN REGARDS TO ORTHODONTICS. PLEASE BE WARY WHEN GOING TO A GENERAL DENTIST FOR ORTHODONTICS. Most general dentists have limitations when attempting to complete a case outside the scope of their knowledge. That is why there are trained specialists such as orthodontists. I am in dental school and went with my sister to address my concerns regarding the outcome of her treatment. Basically, her orthodontics were not completed and Dr. Radfar removed her braces. Her front teeth are angled outwards, there is a gap between her canines, and her bite is not matching up- All things that an orthodontist can fix. After bringing these issues up to Dr. Radfar, he got defensive and said that the outcome of her treatment can't be perfect but is acceptable. To us, its not acceptable because we did not pay this much money to have sub-par treatment. He said that to accomplish straight teeth he had to take extreme measures to fix these issues. The only reason why he has two stars is because he said that he would put the braces back on for free.... read more

Both my husband and I have been going to Beach Cities for several years now. I see Dr. Radfar, and my husband sees Dr. Haddad. We couldn't be happier with the care they both provide. I have received regualr cleanings and had some old filings replaced. I feel like my mouth is healthier than its ever been. My husbad chose to do Invisalign, and he's had several other procedures including crown repair/replacement and a new front tooth after an accident caused his to break.
