As you can imagine, with me only being 22 at the time it was the scariest thing I had ever experienced. I was worried I would never get back to my normal. My therapist, Chris was very accommodating and supporting my entire journey back to wellness! He assured me that we would set goals and expectations based on where I was and where I wanted to be. They worked with my schedule whether I needed to be there first thing in the morning or late in the day. When I missed an appointment, they would call and hold me accountable! I loved feeling like my progress was just as important to me as it was to him. I would not choose another facility let alone another therapist! I plan on going back in since it's been about two years and I am now experiencing some popping when rotating my knee. I will update my review after my next journey!

This place is a joke. They leave clients in bed constantly, when you ask for help they ignore you…read moreor make you wait for an hour to help. They don't have railings on the beds so people can fall out of it. They are extremely short staffed and the nurses that actually care are far and few in between. The place smells like urine as soon as you walk into the door, your feet actually stick to the floor. This is the dirtiest establishment I've been in. If I could give it no stars I would have. Some patients have 9 or 10 thin blankets that don't keep them warm so they don't have enough for everyone to go around. If they happen to wash something for you, they lose it on you and you will never see it again, unless your "name is on it" I went out and asked for some blankets for my grandpas roommate and the nurse at the front desk told me to help myself to the cart, rather than coming and helping him. The food they have looks like something that prisoners would eat... maybe?

This facility is under new ownership for perhaps 12-15 months now. As a result this location is undergoing renovations. So if you go for a tour, which I have now done twice, you see the already renovated parts. They look nice enough. Very open. Clean. Nicely spaced. Super new and awesome looking rehab area. They, like most places in the area, have long term residents and rehab ones. This place doesn't have a lot of outside space for nice weather. And I didn't see many plants or other greenery. It's also SUPER EXPENSIVE on a day by day rate. As in "wow - are the beds made of gold" expensive. They do offer rides to patients who need dr appts and the like. That's a nice added benefit. I liked the people I met there. Friendly and open about everything I asked. So that's great. But didn't seem worth it to me. Very sterile, no plants etc, no nice outside space etc. but if Medicaide is paying and the location works for you or your family it's probably ok. But three stars because the price is so high compared to other places I've been checking out. It's probably more of a 2.5 stars (based on price compared to other places around town) but I'm feeling generous.

Over the years I have gone for physical therapy to the Catherine Labouré Health Care Center at…read moreSisters Hospital on Main Street in Buffalo. It had been about 3 years or so since last I had gone there, but when my otolaryngologist referred me for vestibular therapy for my vertigo, that was my only request. Turned out they (the P.T. department) and two other connected physical therapy departments have all relocated to the St. Joseph's Campus in Cheektowaga. You can see by the sign on the building that the operation is called now: Catholic Health / Sisters of Charity Hospital / St. Joseph Campus. And you can see by the sign directing you into the PT arena that Sisters Center for Metabolic Wellness refers directly to the physical therapy department. Additionally, on the referral sheet given to me by the staff at the ENT doctor's, the whole kit and caboodle was called Partners in Rehab. With locations in Orchard Park, West Seneca, and Cheektowaga. Very confusing. I am hopeful that someone who works there will read this and make any necessary corrections. At any rate, where I went for vestibular therapy, a kind of physical therapy, I highly recommend to anyone needing P.T. of any sort. This is a new and modern and clean and well-equipped venue for P.T. It was wonderful to see some familiar faces from when I used to go to Sisters on Main Street. And extra wonderful to have a therapist, Kira, whom I had had twice before at the old location. Well, okay, when I made the appointment, I asked for her specifically. She worked small miracles for me then and continues her magic here, though I have no doubt every therapist here is excellent. P.S. I got the name spot on. Just thought to check the business card of my therapist. (duh) Sisters Metabolic Center for Wellness.

I walked in to. find staff with clipboards walking all over the place like waitstaff at a busy restaurant . Then I saw the signs saying CHECK IN and also Check Out . A bit like the check-in desks at a busy airport. I was checked in quickly and directed to take a seat in the waiting area . It was like a scene I experienced in crowded doctor's office in India many years ago. There had to be 40 people in the waiting area , all holding their clip boards and paperwork . Staff , with the obligatory clip board , walking in calling the first name of the next patient . I thought , this will be my last visit to this place. I waited 45 minutes to see my provider , not unusual these days . Staff led me to the examining room and I was amazed to see TWENTY examining rooms , I got room 9 . Eventually the Physiatrist came in, no long wait . Introduced himself , failed to introduce the presumed scribe that came in with him. I got the sense I was being rushed and in a conveyor belt experience. The doc did seem to be skilled and I will return and see what visit two is like . At check-out I was taken care of by someone whose name tag said "Director of Operations". He was very pleasant and quick . Good to see he was on the front lines working with the grunts .

After surgery, I continued to have pain and so I was sent every 2 to 3 months for knee injections which never helped. I kept asking for imaging and was told it's just how my knee healed. After Douglas retired. I asked why I was never given the option for Moore imaging and his nurse practitioner sent me for imaging. It turns out I needed a complete knee replacement so I did had Dr.Hlubik do my knee replacement. Days later, I went back to get my stitches out, and my leg was on fire. It hurts so bad . I was told it was normal . I told his PA Nolan I was going to the emergency room for imaging when I left the office . A half an hour later he called me to tell me to go to Windsong to get an ultrasound . Had to be poured on blood thinners because there were too large blood clots in my leg. From that point on I was completely forgotten about for a month. I kept calling and messaging my patient portal asking for physical therapy and nobody answered the patient portal and the women that answered the telephone would tell me there was never an authorization for PT. Finally my insurance company sent me the pre-op that was dated April 2025.! The same day the operation was authorized. Finally in August I was allowed to go to physical therapy. I got apologies up and down from a patient's advocate, and then Dr. Hlubik called me to apologize. I don't blame him entirely because it's his team that let me down.. I will forever beyond blood thinners because the blood clots are still in my leg. I was never able to return to my career for New York State.. which affected my retirement. And I don't know if anyone has checked lately but blood thinners run about $300 a month.. in case anyone's wondering I've had quite a few surgeries and never developed a blood clot and I was a very healthy 52 year-old woman when they started. Thanks for ruining my life and my career Excelsior orthopedics. I am searching for an attorney.
