    Fish & Chips (2pc) Dinner
    Austin S.

Words can't describe how good this place is. I've lived by here for five years and didn't stop in until today. I was blown away and can't wait to go back. I was very hungry and had the two piece fish and chips and am stuffed. The cod was extremely thick and juicy and the tartar sauce was like nothing I've had and the coleslaw was perfect. I can't wait to go back and try something else. Multiple people when I was there were also being blown away and as I walked out some guy asked me if I loved the best place in town because it's his favorite. Amazing culture and food!

This ambiance light spot serves up the best damned seafood. Just can't imagine anything fresher or better. As I said when thanking them for the delicious meal, the only thing missing was a beautiful seaside setting. Good and quick service and reasonable pricing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A few tables inside and out and set back off the road amongst a strip of stores.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Absolutely, the greatest Lobster roll in CT. The greatest Belly clams too. Indisputable. Westfair is ALL GOOD. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This hidden jewel never disappoints.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Super fresh food, cool staff and proper prices. Try it. Trust me!! You will love it. We will be back again and again. Bring Cash. No CC's taken.

    Baby scallops

Small cosy place with few tables and a clean restroom. You walk in and order at the counter. Friendly people Tried the baby scallops (order by mistake meant to get the sea scallops) it's more tough, not much seasoning but fresh. Personally i don't like baby scallops so next time will skip. Then we ordered sea scallops again, didn't want to miss it, it's awesome fresh tender juicy, i like to add some hot sauce with it. Definitely recommend. New English clam chowder is good, not too much potatoes like some restaurants, pretty balanced portion of clam & potato. Decent quality. They forgot our fried oysters, we waited for 40mins...we should have walked up earlier but our table was full of food anyway. Then it only took minutes to bring us the fried oysters, light batter melt in the mouth. Great price for the quality of food. Looking forward to come back trying fish & chips and steamrs

Was my gps destination to start our day trip. Didn't see the place right away bec. needed to drive towards the side/behind the row of stores upfront. Some parking. The place is small, with some seating inside. Menu prices are great, esp. for lunch (still with sides but smaller portion, ends at 3pm, even on weekends.). We ordered at the counter and some food was brought out, some we picked up. Cash only. Of the chowders and bisques, we liked the lobster bisque, though not as chunky as the other 2. The RI chowder is similar to the NE but no cream. Loved the Fish and chips (subbed with baked potato) which were not greasy. Lunch fried squid was only $9 with fries and coleslaw but sides for meals can be substituted. I liked the potato salad. Broiled sea scallops were tasty, still tender and buttery. Many more items to try on their big menu so will be sure to return.

Onion Rings. I ate the clams too fast lol

I am originally from New Hampshire and grew up eating fried whole belly clams and other delicious fried seafood. I have not been able to find a good place in Norwalk, where I work, to get some fresh fried seafood. This place brought me right back to my childhood. The seafood was fresh, the breading was light, and the staff was beyond friendly. This is the place if you want fried seafood just make sure you bring cash. I highly recommend the whole belly clams in the fried shrimp. Oh, and don't let me forget about the delicious onion rings.

    Fresh lobster roll

Best lobster roll EVER. I've never had a lobster roll with such large proportions of claw meat! Meat so tender and fresh. We also ordered the seafood soup. Beyond flavorful! Cream base didn't upset my stomach. Such a great soup. I ordered the swordfish I believe it was $17.99 and came with a baked potato. I got it blackened. That was one of the best pieces of fish I've ever had in my life and I've eaten in a lot of seafood restaurants all around the country on the beach. That was top three. I highly recommend this place. I can't wait to come back. Service was so friendly. Quiet place to sit and eat, they also had some wooden tables outside if you want to enjoy your food in the sunshine.

Still one of my favorite places to eat. Had a late lunch. Btw, lunch portions end at 3pm. Lunch portions are perfect for me. Dinner portions are just too big. Sweet potato fries are yummy as well as the onion rings. Took a picture of the most recent menu board. Yum!

Little spaced tucked behind main drag in Fairfield. The food was fresh and most delicious and service was super friendly and accomodating. Steady stream of customers who were all greeted and treated well. We had fried oysters, fried shrimp, fish and chips, fries, onion rings, and baked clam. Coleslaw to accompany was very good. Again, freshness evident, so much appreciated, and most enjoyed. My fave was the baked clam! Casual, local place with limited but enough seating for a seafood fix pop in. So many appealing seafood options-even live lobsters and dailyspecials. I would recommend and plan to visit again soon to try scallops and so much more!

Still some of the best friend bellies, clam strips, and onion rings in the tri-state are with great prices and quick service. Nice light batter with plenty of meat and the thin onion strings are a great addition. Steak fries are done perfectly crispy on the outside.

There was street parking when we got there but they also have valet and some self parking in the back. As we walked in, the ladies at the host stand were so warm and inviting. They were also the cutest ever. They encouraged us to sit out on the patio versus the bar so we headed upstairs. Our waitress came over with menus and it went downhill from there. She was so inattentive that we had to ask the other waiter for things we needed. He was engaging, checked on us and we even chatted about his Jordanian heritage and my trip there back in December. Our actual waitress, however, checked on the table next to us 6 times (yes I counted) in between her checking on us. Even when I ordered a mocktail, I guess they didn't have the one I wanted so she brought me an entirely different drink without asking me. Then got upset when I didn't want it. The absolute audacity. As far as the food, we got the crab cake, lamb, whipped mashed potatoes and the bread. The food was good but the bread took it to another level. It should have been complimentary though but that's neither here nor there. Overall, loved the experience but wish we had another waitress. She didn't even acknowledge my friend's birthday. Sigh.

Other than that, I'd definitely dine here again!

My ex-wife, friend, and daughter's mother had pre-arranged the event, but they held up their end of the deal. The location really has the a wonderful ambiance (at least for our purposes). We had an even heartier laugh when I told them I brought it. Let me say this about the ambiance. It's just a fun place to be. The sights and the sounds are marvelous. The wonderfully potent and ever present odor of fish reminds me of the Fulton fish market on a humid, blazing hot summer day in New York City. To the people of the Boathouse, god bless. Although a few large parties were happening, it felt comfortably busy without being loud. Parking was easy with their lot. The décor is elegant, and the beautifully lit bottle display behind the bar really stands out. We sat in the main dining room and could easily hold a conversation. We started with the grilled polpo and ahi tuna tartare -- both excellent. I ordered the T-bone medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly. The table also had filet mignon, mezzi rigatoni alla vodka with shrimp, and pappardelle bolognese. Sides of Brussels sprouts with bacon and balsamic-honey glaze and baked spinach au gratin complemented everything nicely. The chocolate soufflé was a sweet finish.
