Very solid four stars for a late night proper bite. My best friend and I had been driving all day, it was about 9pm on a Tuesday night and we wanted dinner. Most kitchens in the area had already closed, and we ended up here because they were still serving food. Parking was very convenient, especially for my big pickup truck. The bartender, Nico, served us. I let him know that I'm recently sober and asked what non-alcoholic beverages they had. He brought out a non-alcoholic beer that I had never heard of, Clausthaler, a super pleasant surprise, and it was very good. Nico was exceptionally friendly and personable, he was very attentive and stopped by to check on us frequently despite having a bar full of patrons to also tend to. My friend and I both ordered burgers on gluten free buns. While the order arrived promptly and correctly with our requested toppings, the burger patties tasted like they were commercially made and frozen, not freshly made in house, and mine was slightly overdone. I had regular fries and my friend went with the sweet potato fries, both were good and as expected. First bite of coleslaw had a weird texture and flavor, felt a little off and I was full from the burger anyway, so I didn't touch it beyond that first bite. The impressive service, the non-alcoholic beer, convenient parking and hours are reason enough to give this place a try for a later night out. Freshly made burger patties would have earned this place its fifth star from me. read more

We tried this place tonight and I was thoroughly disappointed. I got a steak salad and the lettuce was bruised and soggy. There was supposed to be shoestring onions on top and it was just a big chunk of onions that was raw on the middle. When I asked my server about it she tells me that is what it is supposed to be - a fried onion. As far as service, she was definitely more interested in sitting at the bar and hanging out than doing her job. We won't be back. read more

This is my brother in law's "go to" restaurant on Friday night. It's a place right next to the Metro North East Norwalk station. It's a nicely appointed place and the service is always excellent. It is mainly pub food that never disappoints. The calamari is excellent as is the fried mozzarella. They have burgers, salads, entrees and prime rib on the weekend. I usually get the fish and chips which never disappoints. The bar area is gigantic and the bartender Shawn is always friendly and helpful. They have high top tables that I prefer as well as regular tables. They play excellent music. This is always a good night out with friends and good food and drink. read more

Haven't been here for years until a friend recommended the French Dip, a sandwich dear to my heart but hard to find a good one. Sadly, this was one of the worst. The roast beef was over-cooked, likely heated in the microwave until dry. The Jus was without flavor or seasoning. Adding salt didn't help. The fries were just "OK" nothing special, and a little undercooked. I would have enjoyed them a tad crispier. Oh- and the coffee - very bitter. They had no half & half, only milk or heavy cream. I requested the heavy cream, and despite adding a lot, it was still bitter. My husband ate his burger, but he will eat anything, so I can't judge the burger. The soft drink machine was broken, so no soda available. The service was friendly, but we were one of only two guest tables. No complaints about the atmosphere, but atmosphere means very little when the food just tastes bad. I'm sorry we won't be back. read more

This is a local place for us and we are regulars. Can't think why I have never written a review before. Whenever I feel like a really fresh and delicious salad, this place is a must. My favorite is their Cobb Salad they will add a piece of Chicken, Steak or Salmon to any of the salads on their menu. Station house looks pretty plain on the outside, and is in a weird part of East Norwalk (right by the train station) but once you walk inside the restaurant is open, clean, and modern. We had steak tips, the 2 hot dog meal, and a steak dinner and everything was delicious. The service was also great, our waitress was very attentive. We will definitely be back. read more

The waitress was so rude, from the second we walked in, like she knew us and didn't like us, what did we ever do to you waitress?! Food is pretty good, I have eaten there a few times. Beautiful decor, tv's on at the bar always some game on. Nice place to go to after a long day of work to grab a beer or some food. East Norwalk Metro North station right there! Parking is also available in the lot! Now the reason I gave it 3 star's instead of 5. I thought the price of food & drinks are a little high! Yes a nice place but I do not want to get raped when paying for my tab. 2nd reason is I get the feeling like they do not want me there. I always get this strange look when I enter & it is usually the same people at the end of the bar giving me this look. Went here earlier this week for a friend's birthday dinner. Interior has been updated and it's very nice inside. Diverse choices of beer on draft, there's something for everyone. Same for the menu. If you're into seafood there's a ton to check out, but I'm not- but I felt there were still options for me. First we ordered the Jalapeno Nachos and Fried Mozzarella. Both came out quickly. I didn't have any Mozzarella, but the nachos were excellent. I had a Caesar salad with chicken for my entree, the chicken was grilled to perfection. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their food a lot. My friend got the strawberry milkshake with a shot of Stoli, and that was amazing. One reason I never order meals with artichokes is due to the risk that the chef will use pickled artichokes and not rinse them well resuling in a strong vinegary dish. Well that's what happened with their chicken scarpiello, but with the cherry peppers. My wife had their steak, which was under cooked and that's fine as they cooked it some more for her, but what I noticed was that the sauces in both dishes we're unnaturally thick... Surprisingly good. We've lived down the street for 10 years and have watched the prior dodgy restaurant at this location put out meh food from a standard bar menu. We waited over a year to try this new restaurant, and finally broke down to give it a go. And it was good. Huh. We went back a few weeks later, tried some different things on the menu, and those were good. What we love: the steak sandwich is excellent. The French dip also good. The waitress was so ridiculously rude the minute we walked in the door- giving attitude to our kids like she was a pissed off school teacher. There is just so much detail of the shitty was she treated us that I could go into, but my fingers would be hurting from typing too much. As for the food, the fries were good but that was about it. Our friends daughter ordered a burger (they only offer 2 options- "pink" or "done"), done. It came out mooing. Completely uncooked and inedible. My burger (also ordered done) came out completely raw. It was returned, but never came back. When everyone was done eating I asked where it was and she gave me some story about how someone threw it out and a new one was never made. Then remembered the new one had actually been sitting there for half an hour and no one brought it to me. I finally got the burger but was totally over it. She tried to be nice in the end and blame everything on the cook walking out the night before, but it was too little too late. Save yourself the aggravation and go to Bogeys instead! read more

Went for the first time. Menu is extensive and varied. Our appetizers were okay. Oysters Rockefellar was not up to par. Needed more time on cooking. Calamari were good. The "full" rack of ribs were priced as other restaurants price full racks but it was a very small rack of ribs. The quality was excellent but there were 6 small ribs. We didn't have dessert but it was a small choice of things. We will try it again try different things. By the way PARKING is awful! read more

Not much to say except stay away. I don't give bad reviews but we are afraid we might end up in the hospital if we finish our meal. I had a steak sandwich that tasted like it had been sitting around for a few days. My date had pulled pork that wasn't any better. The fries weren't bad, but we weren't paying 15 bucks a plate for fries. Even my drink wasn't good. I had top shelf vodka that was watered down so much that I didn't have to sip it. Not to beat a dead horse, but if you do go there don't sit in a bench on the back wall. It felt like Rocky was working out on the other side of the wall during out entire stay. My husband and I have eaten here 3 times. The ribs and the lemon chicken were very tasty. We found the wait staff and bartender friendly. We wonder why they don't offer any bread, particular when there is a 5-star bakery within 2 miles that provides other restos in the area with amazing bread and rolls. Wow... decided to try this and will definitely be going back. One: the food is *amazing*. Try the turkey burger... it is juicy, and the perfect balance of flavors. Even the cole slaw is good, and that is usually a "thanks, but I don't need that" side. My husband's ribs were basically fall off the bone, pulled pork ready. We left full and happy. The service was also great - friendly, funny, and checked on us - but never overbearing. There was just no worry you couldn't find someone to get something if you needed it, such as a drink refill. Came in a total of 3 times in the past month and a half, and I must say it was DE-LI-CIOUS! I highly recommend the baked clam in the half shell, those are phenomenal. My first visit a month ago I tried the lobster rolls with greens, I'd say that they should probably just stick to putting all the lobster meat into one roll because it's better that way. At least that's what I believe. Nice selection on wines and beers. Service is eh, the first time we dined the girl just seemed very bland, as if she was there to just take our orders and that was it. One of the other occasions I tried the calamari, nothing to rant and rave about, just your typical calamari. Still delicious but I wouldn't talk it up too much. Any sandwich you get is going to be filling. Tuna special was PHENOMENAL. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM PUTTING IT ON THE MAIN MENU! Anyway, I will definitely be back here more often because it is that good. My dad took me there for dinner one night. It was so good. I had the fried calamari as an appetizer. It was very tender with a great crunch and the sauce served with it was amazing. For my main course I had the grilled salmon over lobster mashed potatoes. I have to say, it was like an orgasm in my mouth. The salmon was cooked to perfection. My dad had a burger that he said was great and my stepmother had the lobster mac and cheese which was to die for. I couldn't keep my fork off her dish. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Having heard all about an updated menu (from its old Eastside days), my best friend, her daughter (who's 7) and I decided to try Station House. The young lady who was the hostess greeted us warmly and made the little one feel welcome and special. A+ there. The waitress was at our table very quickly. She explained the specials- brought drinks quickly and made it a point to ask if there was anything special my friend's daughter needed. Another A+ for the waitress. The menu didn't offer any kids' specials which was a bummer. We ordered a cheeseburger, the penne with vodka sauce and a steak sandwich. Everything was tasty- but the steak sandwich was a bit skimpy on the steak. Overall- it seems like a great place for drinks, burger and appetizers. read more
