My last visit at Nomade was just 10 days ago. For Appetizers- we tried the 2 Beef Empanadas. It was nicely seasoned and filled. The Hummus was also seasoned well but was shy on the amount of pita bread. The Caesar salad was nothing to write about . As for the entrees: the wagyu burger was good but a little too lean for a Wagyu ground meat. The 3 piece fish and chips were DELICIOUS and plenty of fries. Each piece of cod just flaked off beautifully and had a beautiful light batter. My 2 children tried the lamb shank. The lamb meat fell off the bone and was seasoned well served with couscous. Nomade Restaurant interior is very comfortable. The front of the house hosts are very friendly and inviting BUT I find the waiter service lacking both times. Also I did not like the handheld POS system where the patron does not see the breakdown of the check unless you ask for it. The handheld POS checkout tells you how much you owe and to pay your you bill with your credit card. Why don't they automatically give you a copy of your bill to review b4 you pay. It's just good business practice. It leaves everyone with a peace of mind. Parking is challenging but there is a 2 hr limit (m- f) from 8 am to 6 pm.. Saturday parking available after 12 pm noon. read more

Came here for a friend's 45th birthday dinner and had never been before. First impression walking in: immediately understood why people come here. The decor is chic without being cold -- the kind of place that feels elevated but still like you're actually going to have fun. We had a private room for the party, which was a great touch for a celebration, and worked from a tailored menu for the evening. I started with a slightly dirty martini that was, genuinely, fabulous. Whoever is making drinks here knows what they're doing. For food I went spicy tuna to start -- sushi-grade tuna with sriracha kewpie on crispy rice, which is basically a perfect bite -- then wagyu bistro steak frites with au poivre sauce for my main. Both were outstanding. Finished with beignets and Nutella sauce, which I have zero regrets about. This is not a cheap night out, and I mean that as a statement of fact, not a complaint. The food and atmosphere absolutely justify it. That said, this is firmly in the "special occasion, adults only" category for me -- not my Sophie dinner spot, but exactly right for celebrating a friend in style. Nomade is the real deal. We stopped in for dinner and had a really good experience. The restaurant has a bar area and several dining areas. The dining area is dimly lit but has a really nice vibe. The service is really good. The waitress was attentive and helpful. For our meal we started with the sticky pork belly and it was absolutely delicious. It was so flavorful. For our meals I had the lomo saltado which was served with French fries and rice and rice. My girlfriend had the chicken liver mousse. Both of our meals were excellent, so flavorful and tasty. To wrap up our meal we had the almond cake dessert which was spectacular. We really loved this restaurant and will come back for more. read more

I've tried many restaurants, and I've made a goal to try every restaurants in Fairfield County. Being a southeast asian myself, I am very unimpressed with these foods I've tried around here. But I must say, this is the most amazing foods I've had in a very long time, and probably have ever had. Perfect mid week treat... We got there just about 6pm and it was nice and quiet.. service was excellent. Our waiter Angel was kind , and so polite. The food and beverages showed attention to details. The cocktails were beautiful, well balanced and crafted perfectly. The tuna tartare was served with rice crackers that were crunchy and delicious. Yes this place is POPPIN and a vibe! So many people, tasty and interesting drinks, small shareable plates. However, it felt like they were trying to kick us out MULTIPLE times. Asking to clear the table repeatedly, glaring looks when we said no we're still eating... It was not like we didnt order 5 plates of apps and 2 rounds of drinks, because we did! Really enjoyed checking this spot out for the first time! The hamachi was very fresh and I really liked the creaminess from the avocado mousse. The escargot lacked a little bit of salt but was overall cooked very well. The interior is very boho and chic they keep it very clean. My favorite dish was definitely the shrimp and grits. If you go you absolutely have to try it! The grits were so creamy and with the sauce it was a beautiful combo. Lamb was good as well. Was slightly over for the cook that I asked for, but was still tender. Very spicy though so if you think you can handle the heat, you probably can't because I was downing water. The prices are a little higher, but for the ambiance I think it was worth it. The food was delicious. I got the Steak Frites and would recommend. The portions were pretty good as well. Conveniently located in Westport's downtown area, you can find plenty of street parking or parking in the lot across the way. Gets very busy so I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. The service was great and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They have a variety of small plates to try from. We ordered the deviled eggs and pork belly bao buns. Both very delicious and the pork belly was cooked to perfection! An explosion of flavor in my mouth. Unfortunately, that momentum did not continue on to the entrees. I ordered the Caesar salad and if it weren't for the anchovies, there would be no flavor. The croutons could have used seasoning. We also ordered the salmon that came with noodles and broth. The salmon could have also used some seasoning to bring the dish together. What the entrees lacked, the desserts made up for it. Our first visit and we loved it! It's a big place, it's also very noisy, not a place to have a one on one conversation; we came for the food and we were not disappointed. It's kind of a young crowd. Glasses were filled as soon as we sat down, bread and butter placed on the table right away. Within 15 minutes our waiter came to get our order. Mind you the place was packed!! Great service and friendly staff. We order a variety of small and delicious plates all delicious. The kids had the Angus Burger with fries and devoured it . My Prime Bistro Steak Frites, with au Poivre sauce was perfectly cooked medium rare, though the sauce could have use more " poivre". Lamb couscous was delicious perfection on the spices. We had walked by this restaurant earlier in the summer and it was mobbed, which unfortunately prompted us to eat elsewhere. This time we called ahead. We had our choice to sit anywhere in the restaurant, and we chose the room with hanging baskets, as it was bright and cheery, but I almost prefer the other side to sit in for cozy dinners. We started our brunch with Fried Brie which was delicious crispy and light, with earthy Brie falling out on a bed of arugula and pistachio. I would have encrusted the breaded coating with pistachios instead of laying them on the plate. They seemed almost separate from the dish and not easy to eat when sharing. But wow, adding the fig spread was just heavenly. And they are a must as an appetizer! My croque madame was delicious through and through. Would have loved it if the egg wasn't broken, and more béchamel, but this with fries was a perfect Saturday afternoon lunch that fired on all cylinders. For dessert the coffee was exceptional and all four of us really enjoyed the crisp yet pillowy and sweet Beignets. The were delightfully buttery and delicate, with a side of hazelnut spread to dip or smear on top. A combination that is just unfailingly delicious. A great dining experience and a fun upscale vibe. I just wish there wasn't a relentlessly screaming newborn next us, that the parents did nothing to suppress. In fairness not the restaurants fault, but we will back for dinner, and you shouldn't hesitate to try Nomade out. Westport now has a new and appropriately modern yet comfortable hometown restaurant. This is a really cool and eclectic restaurant. The decor is great. Very different and they succeed in making it warm and inviting. There are two bars and it's deceptively very large space. The entrance is on the second floor up some stairs. The service is good. There are a lot of servers. Sometimes it's too dark and it's hard to get their attention bc of the lighting but once you do, they are extremely attentive. The food was incredible. Flavorful and as described. Food was very good but this restaurant made me feel unsafe. I picked up three steak frites and sides the other night , and as a handicapped person with a torn pelvis in recovery ; I wouldn't think I'd have to wear my handicap on my forehead but I guess here you do. The men party with their wives or girlfriends not sure. Shoved me at the exit , and when I asked nicely to please let me leave they stared howling and yelling at me and calling me classless after I called them rude. This is extremely dangerous and because of this I almost fell down the staircase. Westport is an entitled place with rude patrons almost at every restaurant. Because of this I would never eat here or pick up from here again, as handicap accessibility isn't your thing ; and after being severely injured and having to live life differently I won't give money to establishments that don't protect their patrons from unruly whacky people and inaccessible exits. read more

He mumbled, avoided eye contact, ignored us for long stretches, and prioritized other tables while our drinks sat empty. He dropped the check before we were finished, cutting me off from ordering another drink, and shoved the card reader at me for the tip. For the prices here, that kind of treatment is unacceptable.
