Westgate Lanes is differently a hidden gem in Brockton. We decided last minute to take the children to westgate lanes for some fun. This was our first time there so we were a bit hesitant at first however we were glad we decided to give Westgate Lanes a try. We went with the small pins for the children and they had a blast, during their games we were able to order food and beverages. The service was mediated and the food was subpar (I ordered my burger medium and received a overly well done burger) same with my friend and her meal (she ordered her steak tips cooked medium and received it overly well done). As for the cocktails they were just a tad too sweet (more sweetness than alcohol). The children were content with their pizza and sprite. After bowling we were able to take the kiddos to the arcade section and they loved it. We would definitely plan to return read more

They really don't allow you to bring your own water bottles. Like you really have to be that greedy to enforce that.

I would recommend to families of young children for basic bowling parties. We all had so much fun and the staff were genuinely nice. The price at the end of the night was fair and reasonable. This place was one of my least favorite experiences in MA so far. For a place that looks so unimpressive, the prices are surely way up there. I was there with a couple friends and service was slow. Food was decent, drinks were horrible. Everything is overpriced and underwhelming. Beware, as gratuity is already added & waitresses will not give you a heads up if you don't notice this and will happily collect more in tips if you're not paying attention. If I could give this establishment 0 stars, I absolutely would! This is the most backend, nasty, unorganized, unsanitary, stifling establishment to date. Do not waste your money and time! The service here is slow and the staff is rude. Ordered wings and the wait was over an hour and when I asked for napkins to wipe my hands from the extremely bland hot wings, the server told me that she had no napkins. Not to mention they are clearly prejudiced. My wife and I saw them being extremely difficult with people of color a few lanes down. They advertise that there is live music but it turns off an hour early. Very good lanes, very smooth, not messed up or bumpy. The house balls are mostly second-handed custom balls. I usually go after 10PM to get the half-price deal of only $2.25, but the bowling alleys close @ 12 and their food stand close @ 10! It's very quiet, but even better with no distractions. I paid 40 something for this mess. The prices has gone up so much, with a bear and a drink it was 59 dollars. Then it was 49 to bowl with my 2 grandsons and husband. The new owner has jacked the prices up and went cheap with the product. The chicken was hard and dry and not tasty, fries are old and soggy with grease and the quesadilla was dry and nasty. Bowling experience was A-ok, but when we ate at the bar the food was substandard. Steak tips tasted funny, as if they'd been reheated in a microwave. Extremely aggravating and unhelpful staff. We came in and had to wait 5 minutes for a staff member to show up so we could pay for a lane. We wanted to play 3 games and he told us we could only play 2 or 4, then gave some long and confusing explanation (which we didn't understand) as to why we couldn't play 3 games. So we payed for 2 games. The lane he gave us wasn't working so then we had to wait another 5-10 minutes for someone to be available to help us. They transferred us to the next lane which only had 1 pin standing. When we approached the staff again they just transferred us to the next lane, which again had only a couple of the pins standing. Again we asked them for help, they went back to the desk and then appeared to be doing other things. So, we got our money back and left. Won't be back. read more

Was looking for a good bowling alley and didn't find it. The server didn't accept military ids because she said they aren't valid ids and when we provided our drivers licenses she threw them back at us. Took us and hour and a half to get 3 drinks. Simple drinks, Bluemoon, and 2 lemon drops. The server was eating the whole time we were there and didn't wash her hands several times. Came here with a group of 15 kids under the age of 12 from my church. I put together a little bowling party for them and I'm so happy I chose Westgate Lanes. It was between Westgate or Boston Bowl in Dorchester. Boston Bowl is always packed on a Saturday and can get a little difficult keeping an eye on kids there. I chose Westgate's Party Package #2: $13.00 per child Included * 1 hr. of Bowling * Shoes included * 1 hr Food slot -Choice of Hamburger, Hot Dog or Grilled Cheese with French Fries, soft drink, and ice cream. We were able to bring our own cake and they held on to it for when we were ready to eat. The lanes were simple. No disco bowling or fancy tv's. The kids still had a great time and the place wasn't packed at all. The kids enjoyed the food and the service there was friendly and helpful. Great times all around. read more

Strictly based on the service of ordering food. They need to hire more waitresses. I wanted food and drinks for my two bowling aisles of a party of 8 at 9pm. I had to go up to the pub to ask if I could order food and she told me to go wait at my aisle and a waitress will be over.....9:40pm and no one comes over after I ask 3 times if a waitress can come serve us. I get angry because I find out you can order food only until 10pm, so finally the lady at the pub's register said she'll just take my order after I told her 'hey we only have 20 more mins to order and I have yet to have a waitress come to my table'. All I wanted was 2 pizza, chicken tenders and 8 beers (not that hard). To top it off, the food is horrendous (prob frozen). After all is said and done. A waitress comes over to us at 10pm and goes, if you guys need beers you can order from me and not the bar...hmm, well we would if you actually came over to serve us after I've been trying to wave for you to come over an hour ago. I'm coming back to bowl but not getting anything except drinks at the bar. My favorite bowling alley! Bowling balls available to use are varied and look like custom balls; Some can be beat up a bit, but most are in near perfect condition. The lanes themselves are in perfect condition; no bumps or bruises. Paying for games doesn't mean a huge hit to the wallet as the price for bowling is fair. Try cosmic bowling on the weekend to have an extra fun time with music and lights everywhere. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Our lane was broken and wouldn't work, and it was too busy for them to switch us to another. The girl at the front desk was amazing but there was only so much she could do. The manager ignored her requests to come talk to us about an alternative. We later found out he was bowling himself, using up a lane paying customers could've been utilizing, and ignoring the basic tasks of his job to instead hangout with his friends. Sat around for 45 minutes to an hour before we requested a refund and left. I will never return, so many better places to go that actually treat their customers well. read more

Terrible experience! Multiple lanes were malfunctioning. Bumpers were broken. Owner was inconsiderate and rude. After being patient and letting them try to fix multiple lanes for close to 30 minutes, my little brothers had enough and I asked for a full refund. They fought me on it and only offered half back. I Insisted I only would accept full since we never got a to play a full game. After they got tired of me rightfully complaining, they gave me my full amount back. Wasted a whole Sunday afternoon. The only place I roll! This isn't Kings, and it isn't Boston Bowl! An old school bowling alley that is about bowling. Has a very "Big Lebowski" like vibe. What is nice is that they have a lot of leagues here so they take good of the lanes. Was back home in Randolph recently and looking for something to do on a cold Friday night. My Uncle suggested bowling so we ended up here. We called ahead and they let us know they had some leagues coming in but the smaller pins/ball (CANDLE PINS?) were open. We drove down and I was SO surprised at how CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN this place was. Like I said it was Friday so it was pretty busy, we still waited less than 15 minutes. I think it cost around $60.00 for 4 people 2 rounds and shoes, honestly this was my first time bowling in FOREVER so I dont know if thats pricey or not.. Their bowling shoes were really clean and nicely kept. They have from what I could see other people eating ;some awesome looking food. Their arcade section is so nice. Bottom line we had so much fun. we went bowling here on a Saturday night. It was surprisingly not that busy. There was no wait time for a candlepin lane. I guess with Kings being up the road in Dedham, the competition is upped. We had a nice time bowling, it wasn't too loud or busy and we didn't drop a total fortune to bowl. It wasn't cheap by any means, (3.00 for shoes x2 and $24.00 for two strings for two.) The best thing about this place is the pub attached which had an AC/DC cover band playing the night we were there. No cover for the pub and the band, Fat Angus was a lot of fun. read more

I went here last night with 4 of my friends for my birthday. We got a lane right away and the girl in the front was so nice! THEN I threw one ball down the lane and the lane breaks. Okay that's fine things happen. So I went to the front and told the girl. She was right on top of it and called it over to someone who can fix it. 30 minutes later and it's still not fixed. So the girl from the front was in our vicinity so I asked her if the lane was fixed. She told me it wasn't so I asked if I could talk to a manager because this was clearly not her fault. Time goes by and now I'm in 45 minutes of my timed bowling. I go up to the front and told the girl that the manager never came over and it was still not working. I asked her where her manager was and she informs me that he is bowling!!! This place was so busy from the girl in the front taking care of getting your shoes and payment to the girl that was running the snack bar and was running to tables for food service all by herself and the manager was busy bowling. Then the owner came over and told me that I needed to calm down which in a customer service environment is not how you handle that. I then asked for a refund and we all left. The only reason this place deserves even a one star is for the two amazing girls in the front and at the snack bar! My friends and I will never come back. read more

In an hour our lane automatically shut off and we were told we didn't pay for bowling and just for shoe rental. But surprise surprise! Since it's after noon the price has gone up... not only were we double charged, but now we had to may a higher price because the rate goes up after noon. Jason and Harry, please do not sacrafice customer service for profits. This morning fill in manager was an absolute nightmare to deal with.
