My family and I always come to this Laundry and today my worse experience ever. I was washing my clothes, and when out for a drink, and as we come in we see that my clothes was not there and the machine was used by someone else. The person using it said that the lady that works there, took out my clothes because he wanted to use the machine. My husband approaches the lady and asked her why did she take out the clothes she started raising her voice saying that because someone else needed the machine that if I had a problem then next time I should stay and guard my clothes. She was so rude we asked to speak to the manager/owner. She said I will call him but he will tell you the same thing. We apoke to the owner and told him how concern we were that due to COVID-19 we come to wash clothes not to be touched by other pepole regarless if I was a few minutes late. He apologized and told my husband that he would talk to her, but not worry that they wear gloves. The problem is that he was so upset about the situation that didn't get a chance to tell him she was wearing NO GLOVES AND NO MASK AT ALL. As my husband was on the phone with the owner, she was helping a couple with a machine and starts to tell them in Spanish how my husband was making a big deal and talking horrible things about the situation, not thinking i would understand, since I was taking some other clothes out from the machine next to her. She is so unprofessional and extremely rude. NO GLOVES and NO MASK when there is a big sign that says you cannot come in without a mask. It's 12:57 pm I am still here waiting for my clothes to dry, and I see her cleaning with NO MASK the owner should check the camera and take action because the people that work for him don't care about his business the owner is so nice and it's sad that these pepole are making this place look bad. There is another lady there other times that is more professional and nice. I don't know if I will ever come back anymore I am so disappointed after all these years. read more

No warning that you don't get your change back if you only have dollar coins. And no employee to ask. No signs. Medium soil is more expensive than light. And no way to upgrade your wash if you accidentally put in too much money. Edit: You can't change the temp on the white dryers. And I've never seen literal flames so close to my clothes. read more

Okay, let me tell y'all a story. A few Saturdays ago, my younger cousin had his wedding over at this church called Our Lady of Mercy. I went to get some McDonald's, and the damn McFlurry spilled ALL OVER MY SUIT!!! I would blame the traffic, but really, I'm just a clumsy guy. I searched for the nearest laundromat, and this was only 1.3 miles away. I walked in -- Sharon greeted me right away and was very helpful. My suit was cleaned up in just half an hour, and I made it to the hotel right as they were all walking out!!! Now, I'm from outta town, so I'm not quite sure how laundromats work around here, but where I'm from?? EASY 10/10!! The wedding was great, and it's all thanks to this place:) read more

This location was cool as far as cleanliness and price of wash. I haven't interacted with the staff yet but so far not a problem there. I don't let others wash n fold my laundry anyway so don't know how much ima be interacting with them. Place is big enough to do your own thang. I did read some other reviews on here and google saying some of the people who wash here were rude and unfriendly. Which I have found to be somewhat true: A woman with a big ass wagon just left her stuff diagonally in the walk way and when I tried to get by she looked bothered and I said excuse me and she just rolled her eyes and didn't move her wagon. Then someone backed their cart into me really hard and couldn't say excuse me or sorry after I acknowledged that they hurt me. Then the daughter or lil sister tried to start a staring match with me and wouldn't stop rolling her eyes at me and staring while I was folding my laundry like every time I looked up she was there mean muggin like I stole her backpack lmfao. Like chill out lil girl cuz if she actin like that anywhere else she go she gon start a lot of problems with people at school or in public who don't give a eff about how old she is. Goofy does what goofy sees. If you are her mother teach her better please! I'm just sayin this to say watch out for the people who come here to wash which doesn't reflect the quality of the machines here, I got a clean wash and dry and am happy with the price I paid. I have visited Westlake Laundry several times in the past, and it was usually clean and better washers and dryers. Yesterday, I stopped in to was sine bedding: While I was there, I noticed an employee not wearing a mask: When I questioned her, she replied because I work here. With COVID on the rise, this was an unacceptable excuse. I do not work with the public, but I am REQUIRED to wear a mask while at work. I then noticed the owner not correctly wearing his mask, and the mask was pulled entirely down from his nose and mouth. Lastly, this business also had far too many people doing laundry simultaneously: It made it challenging to get 6 ft of distance. read more

Crawling into bed late Sunday night I realized my very old dog peed the bed and soaked all three quilts. Monday after work I walk into my very first laundromat.. Yes my very first. It was much busier than I thought, young couples, families and a few college age group of friends seems to make up the mass sum of people. Almost all the machines were taken. I made my way to the back where I was greeted at the window by a women. I needed change for a $20 and she happily helped and gave me a cart. I walked over to the 4 load machine and put one quilt in and then stood there utterly puzzled at what to do next. I do laundry all the time, but these huge machines are a bit different, not to mention I felt like everyone was staring at me. The nice lady running the place came over to me and explained how they worked and then laughed as she saw my one quilt. She then put all three into one washer! I was shocked but was assured it could handle it. While they were getting washed I skipped over to Subway for dinner, why not? It's right next door. After I returned it was time to dry! I asked to borrow someone's cart (there is a "no hold" policy on carts but not everyone listens to that rule). I moved these three heavy quilts across the way and scored two dryers side by side! I split them up, two in one then one in one. They dried in about 45 minutes. It's CLEAN. Employees and or Owners are active, polite and funny! Good lighting. Busy. Had no bathroom (normal?). Westlake Laundromat is not the ultimate best laundromat in all of Daly City, but the machines get the job done. There aren't enough laundry carts, so residents actually use shopping carts from nearby businesses. Watch out for your belongings, especially your coins and detergent. The employees of this laundromat are a bit cold, but if you ask for a cart, they'll direct you to one. Make sure to bring dollar bills or a pouch of coins. No, you cannot use your debit/credit cards. This laundromat only accepts coins. There is also a long table meant for folding clothes close to the dryers, but whenever I come here on weekends, these are usually hogged the most. It becomes busier from 8 AM to 1 PM, but afterward, it's quieter and less crowded. Majority of the people who do their laundry here are residents from the nearby apartments (families and college students). I've come here a few times to wash/dry larger loads and I live three minutes away. Parking in Westlake is a nightmare now. It wasn't like this about five years ago, but now it is. Some people even double park, especially when their laundry comes in two or more baskets. Some even park illegally, but what can you do? There's only one laundromat in Westlake. If there were at least two more, then that would alleviate the nightmare on Southgate. read more

They have the cheapest dryers in the area. I started going here when I couldn't get parking and/or a dryer at my local laundromat. It ended up being for the better because you get 10 mins of dryer time for every Quarter. At the old spot it was 5 mins a quarter. The dryers are also well kept. Another advantage is that it's by restaurants and you can totally order dinner or get a snack while your clothes are getting clean. Avoid the parking issue by bringing a push cart, parking at Westlake Shopping Center, and walking on over. read more

I have been comng to this laundromat for quite a while and everything was good and calm and peaceful until this Filipino lady who is acting if she was the owner of the laundromat. Even the owner do not act like she does. She just noticed and picks on everything that the customer do , she's quite loud and obnoxious. I also observe that some customer gets annoyed by her. I'm sorry but doing the laundry is sometimes a silent therapy for some customers but when the Filipino lady is there, ugh! it doesn't happen. It's her authority aura When the owner is not there! Ugh! I want to thank Eva is who is Excellent! She's friendly and peaceful and calm. She steps in when customer needs her and when theres an obvious wrongdoing. How it should be! filipino lady needs to take a chill pill and let the laundromat have a peaceful friendly vibe again. Stop fixin something that ain't broken, lady. you're not the owner! How many people can say they like doing their laundry? I can, especially if I'm washing clothes at Westlake Laundry. It's one of the cleanest laundromats I have been to. On the weekends, there is always someone there sweeping the floors of dryer sheets dropped by those who are either too lazy to put them in the garbage can or can't remember they used them at all so the sheets fall to the ground when they pull their clothes out of the dryers. An employee even wipes the fingerprints that you left behind on the dryer doors when you checked to make sure the dryer was hot. The machines are fairly new, or look new at least. You definitely get a lot for your money: 10 minutes cost only 25 cents! I know many other places in Daly City and San Jose that charge 25 cents for 7 minutes. And better yet, 99.999% of the time all the machines are "In Order" rather than "Out of Order." So stop feeling up on the dryers - they all heat pretty well. Washers are great, too. They have a variety of top- and front-loading washers for your small to large loads. If you have better things to do than your laundry, just drop it off and they'll do it for you. Two small tv's (sorry, no flat screens) are there for your entertainment. If doing laundry makes you hungry, just grab a boba drink from Tap Express or a sandwich from Subway nearby to enjoy while you wait. Do you have to mail a bill? Walk up the block to the post office. Do you have to make a stop at the grocery store, too? Well, Trader Joes and Safeway are right there in the Westlake Shopping area. Need cash? Bank of America, Patelco CU, and Wells Fargo (within Safeway) are all within walking distance from the laundry. I can get most of my errands done without having to drive all other the place. One con: parking. I usually come here on the weekends, so the few spots in front of the laundry are usually occupied. I, along with many other patrons, typically double park, unload, start the washer/dryer, then move my car. By then, a spot is usually available. read more

Yes, because here they have a lot of machines that vary by capacity size so i don't have to go street fighter on fellow laundry goers. And I'd say this place is reasonably clean so I don't feel paranoid about my clothes being dirtier than when I first brought them in. This is the cleanest laundromat I have ever been too. I have gone to other laundry places between SF/Sunset area and Belmont where I live now. This is by far the best place to be. They have a good variety of sizes of washers. I come here to use their big washers to do my comforters & quilts. The prices are very reasonable too, especially the dryers! The machines are well-maintained. Rarely do I see an out-of-order sign. The location is also adjacent to shops. I can do some shopping in between wait times for wash & dry cycles. read more
