I'm writing this review in hopes that another family will not be taken advantage of. I applied to purchase a trailer from Westland Campers on July 27th. On July 29th I spoke with a man named Sean. He advised that I was approved for a 2018 Wildwood Xtreme Lite. There would be $2000 down, and $700 per month for 60 months. I was pretty excited to have a new trailer for our annual camping trip! He sent photos, answered my questions, and assured me that the tires, roof and trailer were in great shape. Unfortunately, he said he was leaving for vacation, then needed a day to go through the trailer and get it ready for the sale when he returned, so we wouldn't be able to pick up the trailer until 8/4. Additionally, I was told he'd need the $2k right away via Zelle to hold it. I didn't feel comfortable with that arrangement, so he agreed to hold it if I'd send $500 immediately via Zelle, and the rest at pick up on the 4th, so I did do $500. We went ahead and postponed our trip from the 1st to the 4th. We had everything laid out at home ready to load our new-to-us trailer, got the trailer insured, and planned to pick up the trailer & head out! Sean wasn't sure what the hitch size we needed was, so we brought a reversible ball, and figured we'd have to stop for a load-leveling sway hitch once we knew the type we needed. Upon arrival at Westland Campers in Pomona, we excitedly went to check out the trailer. The first thing we noticed was that all 4 tires were completely cracked and chewed up. Sean had assured me the tires were fine. When we pointed this out, he said we could take the trailer to his tire person a few miles away for new tires. I feel that he should have checked the tires before answering that they were in good shape. Next, we noticed that there was no mattress on the queen bed. I don't mind that, but it adds an extra layer of work needed prior to using the trailer. He didn't tell me about that. Third, the trailer was filthy. There were handprints, dirt, stains, and rodent feces in some drawers. This trailer would require a full day of hard cleaning, as well as the time needed to get the tires replaced to be usable. On the outside, the awning had multiple tears. Several of the plastic latches & light covers were missing or broken. He said he'd order replacements and send them to us, but again, this should have been done prior to delivery in my opinion. After weighing the amount of work and time, expense, and not having a proper hitch configuration, we decided not to move forward with the purchase. After much back and forth discussion with Sean, he declined to refund the good-faith deposit, or even apologize for the misrepresentation of the trailer's condition. I initially wrote this review on Tuesday evening. Sean repeatedly text me with threats and rude comments, saying I was lying, and insisting I remove my review. Finally, I just deleted it. It was stressing me out and I was trying to enjoy what was left of my time off work. But I've decided I will not succumb to blackmail. I went back through the dates, messages and conversations. Everything I am saying is the complete truth and I double checked prior to rewriting this review. I am not trying to "ruin his reputation", I simply want potential customers to be careful and trust your gut when dealing with Westland Campers. read more

DO NOT RENT from this business. Yes, we told them we were going to a small festival type event and that it was my 78 year old mom and myself. Our RV was a POS. The backup camera was broken, air vent didn't work, battery gauge broken, broken drawer and they gave us the wrong door key. So we took the vehicle anyway because we needed to! And when we returned we got ignored when it was time to return the POS. Sat outside of the gate for an hour on a Sunday. It's just not worth it. I've never rented a motor home before, but Westland Campers truly made this a smooth process. They do excellent business and have great customer service. What ever software they are using is amazing because their communication skills are on point! I booked through them last minute because of my procrastination, and to add on top of that it was a very busy holiday weekend. So i was thinking after booking the motor home, it would take a while for Westland campers to get back to me. However this was not the case at all! They responded with a confirmation in 10 minutes. Not only are they very responsive, but they also go out of their way to let you know all of the ups and downs about a motor home. They truly care about their customers knowledge of maintaining a luxury motor home. Now for the motor home we rented, It was very nice, super clean when we first toured it. Lots of cabinet space, and the beds are decently comfortable. The only thing I can complain about is the remote to the tv had dead batteries. The gentlemen who greeted us name is Sergio. He's the best! He really lets you know the honest truth about what you need to do in case of emergencies for a motor home. Which is great for me because i've never rented one lol. He's super nice and he is speaks very well when educations his clients on service for motor homes. What you see, is what you DONT get! Do not waste your time, energy and money on this company. They are a scam and they will take advantage of you. The pictures of the rvs on their website look in a great condition and they sell you on all the extra amenities in the rv. But dont fall for it! Its a complete dump! And half the things are either broken, missing or a complete liability! They do not check the tires before renting out (ours were extremely old, cracked and coming off the rim walls) We noticed this and told Sean the owner we want a refund or a new RV and he said "no cant do that , you signed a contract" We ended having to stop at a tire shop on our vacation time which he paid for but itbwas our time and gas money and caused us allot of stress! The "traction loss" alert signal came on on our drive home and he responded either "thats not important" You can imagine our anger at that point. The tv didnt work The netting was broken to protect our children from falling off the bunk bed No awning The bluetooth didnt work The tp holder was missing The septic pipes are about to fall off under the vehicle and we had to fix it ourselves The drawers were broken Handles were missing No shower door It was a complete dump! We asked for a refund of atleast half our trip off and all he would give us was half a day of compensation. They are a scam and false advertisement! Read the other bad reviews!! First of all don't use them. Pay a little extra and save yourself headaches and a ruined trip. So I had an appointment and showed up early an hour and a half to be exact in order to beat traffic home. I was walked to my rented rv which was filthy, missing a window and another window taped on. And the rv looked much different from the photos provided. I already made arrangements and paid deposits at campgrounds so I ignored the issues presented to me. I began my walk through and noticed tons of damage (see photos). I get it I'm renting but geez this rv looked like homeless people were living in and out of it. Did my walkthrough photographed all of the damage. Too many to add on here. During the walkthrough the rv batteries wouldn't charge. They had to go buy some, wrong ones, and install them (incorrectly). Simultaneously they removed a window from a different rv and fabricated it onto the rv and removed the tape from the other window. Either way I already arranged plans so I went with it. Now it was approaching 12 pm my appointment time. Spoke to Sean and told him I wanted a refund because the batteries weren't installed yet and I had to leave. He walked with me to the rv and said he would be there if I needed anything to FaceTime him (lie). Took his word left with the rv. Took my rv home packed everything was fine. Started driving to bolsa chica (not that far) and the battery alternator light comes on... kept driving sent a picture to Karen who doesn't answer. Got to my campsite hung out outside came back to the rv and the TVs were off completely tried resetting the breaker nothing black. I notified them and no response. I told them the rv was hooked up and TVs never reset In the morning I was communicating with them and told them I turned the rv on and off and then the TVs were working. I then requested a refund for the one night and I'd be returning early because I dealt with too many headaches Then they went ghost. - 5 out of 5 stars. I don't normally leave reviews, however, in this company's case, I would be doing a disservice if I didn't. This was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with ANY business aside from the horrible rental. Due to the pandemic, my family and I decided to rent an RV through RVShare. This was our first time renting and operating an RV. However, we have been on RV trips in the past so we were familiar with the functionality of one. At first, the owner was responsive and seemed as if he was on top of things. Unfortunately, I was mistaken as the rental was in bad shape and we ultimately had to cut our trip short! On our rental day, we noticed there was much exterior damage to the RV but it was manageable as this is a rental. They also kept trying to sell additional "mechanical insurance" which I thought was odd. But have my opinions as to why they were trying so hard to sell the insurance. Upon looking inside of the RV, it looked unclean and overall unmaintained. I figured we'll clean it as that's a protocol we would do regardless. As we started to drive, I noticed the steering wheel had a shake in it for anything above 55MPH. A couple of hours into our trip I noticed a propane smell filling the RV. When I notified the owner, he stated, there was supposed to be a smell at first when turning on the propane but should dissipate thereafter. I indicated it did not. He then brushed me off to one of his associates at which time we were told to shut the propane off. As it turns out the propane controls mostly everything within the RV unless you're plugged into a power source. All of our food ended up spoiling, we couldn't use the air conditioner, TV's, outlets, freezer, refrigerator, hot water, etc., among other things. Here is a list of some things that went wrong while on our trip: 1) Dirty 2) Shaky steering wheel 3) Propane leak 4) Storage doors didn't lock 5) Bathroom faucet handle came off upon first use 6) Shower rail flew off upon first use 7) Rear storage door swung open on the freeway due to screws not tightened 8) E-brake broken 9) Maintenance light popped up 10) Outside speaker busted 11) Backfired when propane was turned on 12) Foul smelling refrigerator 13) Foul smelling toilet 14) We had to cut our trip early 15) Horrible service 16) Owner will try to blame you for the unmaintained vehicle Upon my return, the owner essentially stated the mechanical insurance was there to fix all of the aforementioned issues as if it were my responsibility. Who would do that on a vacation, business trip, or the like? Moreover, he was apprehensive about any of my concerns as if I was trying to pull a "fast one". That was the kicker for me when the unmaintained vehicle was the only reason for these issues. The propane leak alone could've severely injured us and could've been fatal. When asked for another rental or our money back he offered a $250 discount which barely covered the cost of the spoiled food. His response was, he has had much more serious issues happen and this was not that big of a deal. At this point, it was more about principle. After a few months of disputes and arbitration, we finally received all of our money back. If you care about your family and/or passengers and don't want to fix someone else's mess, my suggestion is to stay away from this place. Our RV camper had a small leak in our restroom and kitchen. We called around to see if a technician would come to us. Westland campers responded to us right away gave us a flat rate that wouldn't break the bank. Sergio was on time very thorough and honest. He could have done a quick fix on the toilet and been on his way, but instead he made aware that after many flushes he had realized that the toilet would still leak overtime. We had to buy a new toilet and he gave us a great deal on a toilet they carried. We also needed a faucet for our kitchen sink and though he also had faucets he gave us the option of buying our own. He installed both new faucet and toilet and cleaned up any water mess that may have happened. We we're very pleased with his work. If we could give a zero out of five we would. We fully disclosed that we would be taking this vehicle 3500 miles over the course of the rental period; regardless they delivered a vehicle that frankly caused us potential danger. RV was not ready as promised, delivered three hours late, bed above front seats was missing and we needed it, safety handle at front entry broken, gas tank not full, no kitchen trash can, no water hose, etc. RV was filthy indoor and out (see photos). Doors to freezer and fridge flew open at every turn and we lost all our groceries, including eggs, ice, glass, produce, even the glass shelves flew onto the floor. Upon 9:30pm arrival to first stop (4 hours behind schedule) no A/C in bedroom. Temperature was 110F. Had to carry on 2 more hours to hotel. Next day engine light came on and we lost power. Pulled into RV Repair; spent 7 hours there while they determined the RV was in ill-repair, air filter neglected, fuel 56 PSI, 3 quarts low on oil, hood broken, front hydraulics leaking, miss-fire on 2,4,6,8 +O2 codes, right side exhaust manifold leak (which had been creating temperatures under the co-pilot seat so extreme my wife could not sit there. Levels of CO2 detected inside cabin! We escalated above Sean, called RV Share and explained we were essentially stranded in a location void of hotel, car rental, etc. and their only advice was for us to call 911. Mechanic fixed the RV to a safety standard enough to get back home as long as we drove 30-50 miles/hr. First three days of our two week vacation a loss. Let's keep in mind, with COVID, the ONLY reason we opted for this mode of travel was to avoid flights, hotels and rental cars....which is what we ended up having to do. read more

I had an AMAZING time taking one of their Sprinters to Zion. It was about -25 degrees out there and the sprinter I rented had a great Furnace to keep me extra warm. Hot water was awesome and the drive was so fun. It was very easy to get around with that sprinter. It had 2 slide outs that created so much space in my bedroom and kitchen. Sergio was the person I kept in contact with if I had an issue with the RV. He was quick to response and very helpful as I was a first time renter. Sean was very nice and made the rental process easy. On top of that they had a lot to add on for a small fee which was very convenient as I did not want to bring to many things on my trip.
