This repair facility is top notch. You get what you pay for. They use certified mechanics who know what their doing. I have been coming to Mc Brides for many years and I will never go anywhere else. They service my coach every spring and I have piece of mind throughout the year. I have been to other repair facilities, but this is where I go. Thanks for excellent service, ALWAYS! Bruce Freeman 2011 Winnebago Journey 40U 365 HP Cummins Diesel

The generator on our Roadtrek camper van needed servicing. It ran poorly for the last six months (despite monthly "exercising") and recently wouldn't start. In fact, since we bought it years ago, it never did operate properly or smoothly. McBride performed the repair in record time -- six working days -- and stayed in touch with progress reports. The generator now works perfectly. I'd certainly use McBride again. I trust that they're knowledgeable and experienced, and can handle most RV repairs. Pros: * They were able to get the generator fixed quickly. * They were able to get OEM parts quickly. * Joe explained the repairs in detail so I understood what was being done. * Reasonable 6-month warranty period. * Joe and the rest of the staff were friendly; Joe was knowledgeable. * I liked Joe's examination of the van -- including pictures -- to ensure there were no problems later on. * A surprise: They washed the van, so we came home with it sparkling clean. Cons: * McBride is more expensive than other RV shops I've used. * You don't have any face time or interaction with a mechanic.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience with getting our RV repaired. McBride's is the place to go, they were professional, prompt in returning our calls and kept us updated on the progress on our RV. We were very skeptical that our RV would ever look the same again after it was side swiped on the freeway causing $13,000 worth of damage. The finished result was amazing! We are sooooo pleased and cannot wait to hit the road again! THANK YOU to everyone at McBrides!

    Letter from McBride's

This review is most likely not what you would anticipate with a 2 star rating. Let me start by saying I have been a 20+ year customer with McBride's. I've know Ben and Jared there for all those years. Over the years I have had good service and bad/substandard service on my coach. I recently took my coach in for an oil change and replacement of my ice maker, which had bee acting up so I wanted to replace it. Not to bore everyone with a bunch of details - but let's just say that the overall install of the unit was bad/substandard this time. It was my mistake for not checking the install before leaving the shop and once I got home and looked at the install I realized that there was definitely a problem with the way the Tech put the ice maker in. Again, there were other issues earlier surrounding the operation of the ice maker that I am leaving out. Anyway, I live some 18 miles from McBride's and with a diesel pusher and gas costs I wanted compensation back for the labor and the costs to bring my coach back to them. I actually decided over the weekend (I picked up my coach on a Friday afternoon) to simply remove the unit and install it correctly myself. When I removed the ice maker I found that not only was it not screwed in properly BUT the knockout plug was not removed as the directions clearly showed. The old unit should have been a clue that the knockout plug needed to be removed. I corrected that issue and used a couple of correct size screws to remount the unit and all was good. I recontacted McBride's and sent them photos (Shared below with my post) and told them I wanted my labor cost refunded to me for the incorrect install that I had fixed. They agreed and sent me a check. Now here is where the disappointment comes in! I received the check for the labor cost of $277.00 and an unsigned letter from the company politely saying "Going forward it is best that you find another shop that can care for the future needs of your coach". In other words - we don't want your business anymore. They couldn't even take the time to sign it... SAD! In past years when service was not done correctly, McBride's always made good on correcting the error, either by fixing the problem a second time OR by refunding labor costs. That was fair. They refunded me as well this time too. Again, that was fair. What makes me sad is that they now dismiss me as a customer because I am holding them accountable for bad/substandard workmanship. I think that at a Labor rate of $185.00 per hour that you should expect correct and skilled workmanship. And when that doesn't happen - AND YOU CALL THEM ON IT - they decide that you need to go elsewhere for future service. I find that sad and I decided to write this review after much thought because in years gone by that was never the philosophy of McBride's. They always did the right thing! The question you need to ask yourself is... did they do the right thing in simply sending me a refund for labor as I had requested - but then dismissed me for future service OR maybe they would take this issue as yet another learning experience and try to improve the quality of work they put out. You decide before you take your coach in for service. I know there will be a response written to counter my posting, but I simply wish that the mind set at the shop would be more proactive about making sure ALL repairs to coaches are done correctly before leaving the property. I wish them well in the years ahead. I guess this customer will have to take my repairs elsewhere and when the lean years for RV service and repair come along again, I'm sorry that I can't be there to support them. That was their choice! Just be sure all is repaired correctly before you sign and pay. Happy RV'ing everyone!!

Retired Fire Chief's RV Repair didn't just fix my RV -- they revived it with force. I brought in a vehicle that was on life support, barely clinging to function, and they sent it out sounding like it was ready to tear up asphalt and outrun storms. The retired fire chief himself, Tim? A machine. Polite, fast, and honest. I don't know what kind of mechanical witchcraft they pulled off, but my RV is now running smoother than a bald tire on glass. The way they work? Silent. Precise. Ruthless. No wasted time, no small talk -- just pure, calculated skill. It was like watching a surgical strike in motion. Honestly, it was intimidating how good they were. I almost didn't want to drive the RV afterward -- it felt like I wasn't qualified to control what they'd created. This place isn't a repair shop -- it's a threat. A threat to every other mechanic in the game. It's dangerous how fast, clean, and exact they are. Once you've experienced this level of service, you'll never trust anyone else again. If you're looking for average, stay far away. But if you want something deadly good, pull up -- and prepare to be humbled.

Not the kind of problem you want to deal with on a trip. I called Nick and he responded right away. He made time to come out the same day. He diagnosed the issue quickly and knew exactly what was wrong. The automatic transfer switch had failed. Instead of delaying the repair, he tracked down the part himself, picked it up, and came back to install it. That level of effort matters when you are on a tight timeline. The repair was clean and professional. Power was restored and my entire weekend was back on track. What could have been a ruined trip turned into a great one. He did not stop there. He worked through the warranty process and made sure the repair was covered. I ended up fully reimbursed by the manufacturer. That saved me money and a lot of hassle. Nick goes above and beyond. He is responsive, knowledgeable, and committed to taking care of his customers. If you need mobile RV service, this is the guy to call. Nick if you see this, I truly apologize for such a late review. During the process there was some wood that was jacked up around the fridge where it anchors to the cabinets. I'm not overly picky just like bare minimums for my rig..but I wasn't thrilled because the fridge didn't stand straight. Nonetheless Nick said whether it was like that before or from his install he'd handle it next time around. Welp 7 months later my roof is leaking, I found again for roof leak repairs and he quoted, came out in a couple days, had it worked up, threw a little extra seal along the roof gutter that came off at material cost only..and he honored what he said from 7 months prior by finding pieces to anchor the fridge while doing the roof work at no extra charge. Additionally, I found a small leak from a clamp when using the hot water heater and he stopped by the campground on 24 hour notice and found the origin of the leak and fixed that for me quickly too (no charge). I'm happy with his response to the previous issue and quick turnaround time and will use him for quite a few other projects moving forward!

We first met Dave, the owner, and immediately felt at ease. He was relaxed, personable, and super knowledgeable--he answered all our questions without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. His salesperson was out that day, so Dave personally showed us the trailer and took the time to go over everything. When we sat down to talk numbers, there was absolutely *zero* pressure to buy. He didn't push us, didn't ask to run our credit, and genuinely encouraged us to take the weekend to think about it. That kind of approach is rare and truly appreciated. We decided to move forward the following Monday and called in to speak with Miguel. The entire process was seamless--we did everything online and over the phone. Miguel was consistently available, responded to texts (even after hours), and answered every single question we had. By the end of the week, we were picking up our new trailer. The walk-through was smooth, and they let us record the whole thing so we could reference it later (which was perfect for us as first-time trailer owners). David, Miguel, and Steven all made sure we were 100% comfortable and prepared before we pulled off the lot. Galaxy Camper feels like a family-oriented shop that genuinely cares about their customers.
