Large mall in most populated city in state of Florida. Loaded with restaurant and Macy's as anchor store.

A decent enough small indoor mall in central Hialeah, with some good stores. They have Kay's (see my review), J.C.Penney, Bath and Body works, Claire's, Macy's, Journeys, Pandora (see my review), Papaya, Spencers (see my review), Victoria secrets, Zales and a small food court and more. Plenty of parking outside. Located at w 49th street. Check out their website - https://www.shoppingwestlandmall.com/

Nice regional mall in Hialeah with JC Penney and Macy's. Not as upscale as Dadeland or Aventura but still a good selection of stores to shop at including a Radio Shack! The food court has a McDonalds which is always handy for a quick snack along with some other fast food outlets. If you live in Hialeah and don't feel like driving all the way to Aventura or Dadeland this is a decent alternative.

Unless it's for electronics, I severely dislike shopping. With. A. Passion. Ask Wine Goddess Michelle C., I always make a sarcastic compliment to her shopping reviews. Still, it's the Holiday Season and that involves getting a token of appreciation for those nearest and dearest to us. What better place to do this shopping, then than in my homeland's WESTLAND mall. Five stars too for Yelp getting it right instead of the name misprinted at the entrance. Store selection is typical as any mall. Menswear. Women's Wear. Shoes (don't look M.C. and S.G. :) Sporting Goods. Electronics. Parking is about average, a big lot fronting West 49th Street, and adjacent to an offramp from the Palmetto Expressway. Security seemed especially heavy tonight with Hialeah's finest protecting us shoppers. But what takes this mall over the top is the beautiful blend with the community and all the quirks that we have all come to love about Hialeah.. ..such as the hearing of "acere" multiple times http://youtu.be/knvUE5OOqYY and the perfume salesladies sharing their colada with the shoppers in their store. Or the Barbie Princess rope chains..or both Cafecito and Churro shops in the food court as well as a Froyo Shop. A perfect blend, just like the great city, Dalee!

this week i went to the mall with my brother he wanted to go to the candy store so we did, the store was clean but as soon as we were asking for help and where the bags were to fill the candy, this tiny worker goes "are you blind? it's right there" rolls her eyes and goes on her phone. what type of customer service is that? although i have seen her when i go to the mall on her phone or picking out the candy WITH HER HANDS!!! WHO knows she could be unsanitary

I have not been inside Westland Mall in years. What a dramatic change. It must have gone thru an extensive remodel because this mall looks absolutely gorgeous. Growing up this was the nearest mall to my family's home. I had started coming here as a young child...heck I have memories of being a child and coming to this mall to take pictures with the mall Santa.... I mean we are talking about years of patronage. I made a lot of memories in here....some bad....mostly good. But this was never really a place I was proud of going to....it didn't look nice...it wasn't cool. My friends used to joke around and call it Wasteland Mall. Now though it's amazing, beautiful, full of great stores you want to come to. I wish I had this mall near my new home. There are also plenty of like Cuban Guys, Chili's, IHOP (or is it IHOB now?) and others as well as an extensive food court. Plenty of great stores to buy from. It's almost like a totally new mall except for a few stores that have always been there. The only negative I can bring up is that Westland Mall used to have valet parking. I hate looking for a place to park in a mall and hate even more looking for the place I parked in because I almost never remember. Having the valet parking was always a life saver for me.... they should have kept it. I only wish my mall could go thru a remodeling like this one.

    It's STILL Westland

I am ecstatic to inform that they took it up a notch and added Express, Aeropostale, a mini Cafe Bar-esque looking place, and one of those new trendy Yogurt places.

My favorite eating spots may be Korner67 and 100 Montaditos . Oh let's not forget the yummy Novillo Restaurant ( for a good churasco and pinto rice) and the Old Shulas sports bar that is now I believe it's called Miami Lakes sports bar. The strip has a real estate office. On Saturdays they host a farmers market. A street is closed down for the set up and several vendors set up their tents. I've seen new comer bands set up in the outside open area. At night it's lighted up with lights on the trees. At night they will close a street for more walking area and you will see police officers guiding the guest and keeping us safe. During the start of the Christmas season they do a reveal of the lighting of the tree! The strip is well kept. Free Parking areas available surrounding the strip. So you may just find anything you're looking for in MainStreet. The only thing is while they have a few fashion clothing stop for women... there may be only 1 store that offers a laid back mens clothing. Or even for just a walk through the strip. I' live close by so I remember going to MainStrret as a teenager. The strip has closed many doors (to say a few: Tony Romas, Johnny Rockets, Mia Boutique, Peeky Boo) but something else opens that's just as good.

There are more eating and drinking places outside the entrance where Cheesecake Factory is located. The Mojito Bar had Latin Music blaring. There were a handful of patrons at the bar. I came here to get new reading glasses and shop for any clothes that might catch my eye. It's great one-stop shopping. I was able to get new Lenses in my glasses as well as buy another pair in a couple hours. At Marshall's, they had just put new swimsuits in the juniors for $19-$24, which retail up to $100 at regular retail stores on the beach. I tried on some Sambas at Adidas, then my glasses were ready and I grabbed lunch at Cheesecake Factory before leaving. The one con for me was how many individual store employees spoke zero English. In Polo and Levi's and even Saks, I encountered difficulty being understood. I guess this is a sad reality in Miami now.

Embarrassing but I even broke a nail because I was doing so much digging! Lol I went back last week for $5 Monday & will be going again tomorrow as well! I haven't done their $10 or $12 days because of work but I am absolutely looking forward to dragging my family out next weekend to see if we get lucky! They have a ton of appliances on the weekends! The amount of money you save overall & the value of the items is unmatched. Naturally, some items are a steal on the $2 days & not so much the $12 days but it's all at your discretion. The last Monday I went was my favorite. I spent a couple hundred but left feeling like I robbed them lol there had to be at least 55 items in my cart. BUT THE VALUE! The customer service is often rude and unwelcoming, making shoppers feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. What is even more frustrating is that employees begin closing off bins and sections of the store around 6:00 PM, despite the store's posted closing time being 8:00 PM. If customers are allowed to enter and shop until 8:00 PM, they should have access to the merchandise until that time as well. Being told that bins are closed two hours before the store closes is misleading and unfair to customers who make the effort to visit. Management needs to address both the poor customer service and the practice of shutting down shopping areas well before closing time. Until then, I cannot recommend this location.

I was hoping the cute little dog park on the outside would be available to us, but it didn't open until 2:00 p.m. And we were at the mall fairly early. Back then, the S Bus would drop you off at the entrance of the food court and the mall was just 2 floors but look at Aventura Mall now! Completely unrecognizable to the Mall I remember as a teen. Especially since it seems like the average stores I remember are gone and it's all Prada, Gucci, and luxe stores now, but I'm not gonna knock it too much as I took full advantage and stocked up on my Nespresso pods while I was here. At least they still have JC Penny's. I was able to find a Miami Hurricanes shirt to bring back to my dad as a gift. They also have a Joe and the Juice store which I always stop by when I'm here and get a green tonic from them. I have to admit; I like how they revamped the food court so that its modern and has a wide variety of options. They even have a ramen kiosk! We also stopped by the new Eataly store, how can you not right? We didn't eat anything there, but I took advantage and bought some items they had priced on sale. In all honesty, I could see myself coming to Aventura often if I still lived in South Florida. I've always it made it a point to come here when I do visit and will probably continue to do so in the future.
