I loooove Tlaquesalsa, I get a breakfast burrito from them every time and slap on a bunch of their salsa. I also love the build your own bouquet stand, though be careful as the price adds up quick. If I'm strategic I can usually get a decent sized bouquet for $25 or less. Also love the produce stand where you can fill a bag for $15. Some great deals depending on what you're getting. It gets crowded for sure but if you wait and go a tad bit later it's not so bad.

This is a very quaint farmers market with limited produce vendors. This is as local as a market…read moregets so don't expect a wide range of options. The main produce vendor does a fill up a bag for 10 bucks. This alone makes the market worth it for our family. The produce is extremely fresh some of it even needs some extra scrubbing to get the dirt off! This summer we've been able to pick up a variety of veges from potatoes, garlic, green beans, broccoli, carrots, squashes, corn and lettuces. You can really load up the 5 lb bag that they supply. Usually they even throw in some extra stuff too! Typically, they'll have some local music playing if the weather is nice and it usually is. Some of the other vendors include bread, meat, chilies, sangria and a few other interesting selections. Each time I've been they have a couple food trucks and some other eatery options as well. They have a tent where people gather to snack on some fresh goods. Overall, good local market and you can really make out well getting the 10 dollar deal from the produce vendor.

We had quite a few vendors for the first week, and they look to add at least 10 more for next week. There were homemade products (soaps, peanut butters, sausages, breads, cooking oils, cobblers, etc) as well as beautiful, fresh produce, crafts, food trucks (tamales, enchiladas, burritos, perogis, crepes, frites, wings, sausages) and CHEESE CURDS! I am delighted that we will have these vendors here weekly, as they offer amazing products that change throughout the season, as well as more vendors joining weekly.

Pro's: ++ Located in the heart of the Highlands! ++ 3 extended blocks of vendors galore! ++ Surrounding businesses are open and welcoming to all for a bite to eat, AC break or to simply take a seat! ++ TONS of vendors - offering a variety of offerings! Everything from fresh fruit and veggies, clothing, baked bread, jewelry, and other small businesses! ++ Dog and pet friendly! Well, there were plenty of farms representing on a recent visit and I got a nice little haul. It is dog friendly, and people were pretty polite. There was a nice flow to the sidewalk traffic. Next time, I will get here earlier, because they were out of a lot of vegetables I was hoping for. My fault! Get here right when they open, people! Don't do what I did and get here at 10. That being said, everyone was really friendly and there was space to walk around, but it did get crowded. Another reason to get here earlier.

And it's no secret, either, as it was very busy the Saturday we visited. We arrived early to beat the heat and actually got free street parking, which was a nice bonus. I had a delicious masala dosa at Chaatwalla for breakfast, and my husband went for the breakfast crepe at Savory Saigon Express and said it was delicious. We bought some local honey, some delicious protein bars and a nice haul of produce. I'll definitely be going regularly during the season.

Don't do their CSA. Greens are always wilted, root veggies mold extremely quickly, and I had an…read moreexperience last week that was the last straw. My neighbor knocked on my door the other day and said Mrs. Miller accidentally delivered my CSA box to my her doorstep. When I emailed Miller Farms, I received a response from Mrs. Miller herself asserting that, instead of taking responsibility for her mistake, she 1.) definitely delivered to the correct address and 2.) my neighbor definitely had stolen my box from my doorstep. WHAT? When I asked my very confused but honest neighbor about this, she came over with my delivery box, cash for the vegetables she had taken out of the box (because she thought her church had delivered vegetables to her), and a Ring camera recording of Mrs. Miller walking away from her door. Mistakes happen and are forgivable, but partaking in actions and words that endanger the bonds between neighbors is unconscionable behavior. Don't give these people your money - there are better farms and more honest folks out there.
