With so many dead and dying malls in the area, it is nice to see that Westmoreland Mall seems to be on a growth trajectory. Yes, there are some empty storefronts, but there are also exciting and fun new additions coming (like Dicks House of Sports). Aside from the standard retail giants, this location has some fun local options. They have a branch of Greenhouse Winery where you can sample wines and purchase by the bottle or glass and a new spirits store that carries a variety of tequilas and serves several different margaritas. The most unique feature is that there is a casino and events space that is a part of the mall. So there really is a little bit of everything. The mall has a small(ish) food court, but it is nice that there are those options. They seem to be doing a great job with maintenance as the escalators and elevators always seem to be in working order and the space is always bright and clean. They also don't seem to have the loitering problem other malls seem to have. There is plenty of parking all around the space and the parking lot is well maintained. If you want a mall experience that doesn't feel dead and dreadful, this is a great one to visit! read more

Westmoreland Mall is a two-story indoor mall that contains almost 150 businesses. It has some vacant space such as a former Sears but is definitely NOT a dying mall. The anchor stores are JCPenney, Macy's, and Dick's Sporting Goods. The other stores that I like include Aerie, American Eagle Outfitters, Hallmark, LOFT, Miniso, Old Navy, and Sweet Bone Bakery. The mall offers a decent variety of clothing, shoes, accessories, home decor, toiletries and cosmetics, electronics, jewelry, toys, and more. Restaurants include Applebee's, Auntie Anne's, Bubble Tea, Charley's Philly Steaks, Chick-fil-A, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Chuck E. Cheese's, Edo Hibachi Steakhouse, HoneyBaked Ham, IronRock Tap House, Longhorn Steakhouse, Panera Bread, Pita Paul's Gyros, Sbarro, etc. The mall also contains Live! Casino and an AMC movie theater. For years, I have shopped occasionally at this mall. The building is maintained, clean, and safe, and it has plenty of parking spaces outside. Not all of my favorite stores are here, but I always find at least some nice thing to buys for myself. read more

I sometimes shop at Westmoreland Mall when I'm visiting my parents. This mall hasn't undergone extensive renovations over the years, but it's still a great functioning mall. They have your typical mall stores (jewelry stores, department stores, Old Navy, Yankee Candle, etc). The mall is always clean and well lit. They put a casino in the mall a few years ago but it doesn't make the mall anymore noisy, which is nice. Overall, it's a good mall. If you're in the area, it's worth a stop! read more

I returned here in 2024. While some great strores have been removed, there have been just as many decent stores that remained or have entered. The items on sale make me feel like I'm getting a good value. There's a fair variety of stores to match all my interests. The workers there care about their jobs and aren't pushy. Great mall. Lots of selection. 3-4 two-story department stores. A huge Foot Locker and Victoria Secret. The mall is a X or + shaped with a center and four "wings" that go outward with stores on both levels. First of all, I went to Westmoreland mall two days ago, y'all know that self pay store? The fucking worker accused me of stealing DR PEPPER. A couple of hours before I went to the self pay store I went to miniso,I bought Dr pepper flavored cotton candy (lowkey tasted like ass), but anyway, I went in the self pay store with my friend, holding all my stuff, the things I bought from other stores, PLUS the Dr pepper cotton candy. Me and my friend decided to do something else after we walked in, so we just walked out. And before we walked out we put our drinks away, BACK IN THE FREEZER because we were going to another store. And when we walked back into the self pay store, for the second time, we got our drinks out, the ones we were gonna buy at first but we ended up going to another place. And theres a camera near the place you pay, because it's a self pay store and theres no workers in there. So this lady starts talking on the thingy, accusing me and my friend of stealing, SHE MADE ME EMPTY OUT MY BAG, AND I HAD A BUNCH OF CHANGE IN THERE. After I emptied out my bag she went silent. I even turned the bag inside out for her, but I started picking up all my stuff and putting it back inside my bag. Westmoreland Mall has only changed for the better. When I lived in this area 20 years ago, Westmoreland Mall has started to decline a bit. Greengate on the west side and of course Monroeville were local favorites. Things have changed. Monroeville Mall is in decline, Greengate has gone and been replaced by a number of upscale strip malls. Westmoreland on the otherhand, has been refurbished and is today a vibrant Mall. We drove up for a new Grandsons Christening and of course, forgot to pack a number of items. Got to Greensburg at 11:00 am with Christening at 2:00 pm so a quick stop at the Mall and lunch at Eat 'n Park across the street. Mall was not as crowded as I expected considering the time of year but the shopping experiences were great. My wife found everything she needed or wanted at Macy's or JC Penney's but then again, when I lived here previously, Macy's was the local favorite Kaufmann's. What impressed me was how well the facility has been maintained. Despite being gone for 20 years, it looks and feels fresher than it did when I lived her. Good destination for a leasurely afternoon of shopping with a great variety of stores. read more

On 4/25/19 my husband was half way up an escalator, when the cleaning lady stopped it for whatever reason, causing him to almost fall backwards. What kind of safety practices do they have for cleaning people who have to operate equipment & they don't look 1st to see if someone is on it? Thank God he was holding on & there wasn't any children on it also. When he looked back to see what was going on, he said she wasn't even looking up to see if he was even ok. This was a Mall Walkers meeting day & most of these people are senior citizens & had already left, even so, why didn't she look to make sure no one was on it? SAFETY FIRST!!!! read more

I really like this mall! Especially since they've put a mini-Sephora in JCPenney's! :) This mall seems to be shaped like a big X and has 2 levels of stores with a rather large food court. Elevators in the middle of the store and escalators at each point of the X, if I'm not mistaken. PROS: Clean! Really a very large selection of stores! GOOD stores (not one of those crappy malls with a lot of stores that you hate); CONS: Parking always sucks! There's a lot of it, but the lot that's most convenient for us is narrow in width and extremely long so you end up parking quite far away on the weekends, unless you get lucky. Also: There's a movie theater right behind the mall. There are a TON of dining options outside of the mall! A Longhorn Steakhouse was just built, and there's a ton of places on Rt. 30 on your way to the mall! read more

I am fairly impressed with this Mall. I come here while I'm at work with my client and it's a very nice mall. It's bigger than I thought and it's clean! The mall still needs some updates (Macy's, JCPenny, which I will review separately). Westmorland Mall has some stores that is not in my main mall I go to (Ross Park), which is always a good thing because you don't want to go into the same stores over and over again; but I would not travel from where I live out to Westmoreland just for the mall. Also, the Sephora inside JCPenny is smaller than I expected. It's right in the middle of store by the escalators and right next to the purses. I was very taken aback by it. Very congested. They didn't even have the product I was looking for in the travel section. I was upset already about the size, but now my product isn't even here. The employees were very nice, but it was too late for me. I ended up getting some flip flops for my trip. Now Macy's, they don't have a Chanel counter. A big name like that..I asked why not, and the lady told me that it's because they are not a big mall and could not support the brand (money wise that is). I completely understood, but like Sephora, I was just upset. I will be coming back here more than I think during my shifts and work because my client LOVES to go to the mall. read more

I love a mall, seriously, who doesn't love a mall? Westmoreland Mall is a particularly weirdly shaped mall. Like the X on a treasure map. All the pirates knew exactly where to go to find the booty. I agree with what some may say about this place, it's not that glamorous of a mall. The store selection is stale and on par with all the other malls in the area. But that should be expected. It is located in Westmoreland County outside of Greensburg. With that being said, the stores that are available certainly can satisfy your shopping need. The food court is a huge bonus at this mall. It's huge and has a great variety to choose from. There appears to be ample seating as well. Heck, this mall even has a Chuck E Cheese attached to it, I'm assuming that might be for the parents that want to entertain the kids at the same time as entertaining themselves with the shops inside. Huge con here is the parking like was mentioned before. It is horrific trying to find a parking spot. The worst place to park is the lot situated right in front of the JCPenney's store. Almost like you are parking permanently there. That's how long it takes to get back out of the particular lot. read more

I've been going to Westmoreland Mall for as long as I can remember. Through the years it has been revamped many many times. I remember way back in the day there being a stand alone McDonalds in the center court..and of course the movie theater that was in the mall (that was eventually moved behind the mall and expanded)..that was so long ago. To their credit, this mall has really had some stamina throughout the years. Outlasting Greengate Mall and staying more consistently relevant than Monroeville Mall. They seem to have kept up the property pretty well tho parts of it do seem dated back to the late 90s still..when this mall was arguably in its heyday. The things that make me nervous about this malls future: (outside of the obvious fear of the slow extinction of malls in general) there are a good amount of vacancies throughout..more and more everytime I make it back to PA to visit..also some of the stores in the mall are now those types of stores that only malls that aren't doing so well have in them..ones that you never find in more successful/thriving malls. The food court isn't as great as it used to be either. Gone are McDonalds and Ruby Tuesdays..replaced with more generic type food court spots (granted Ruby Tuesday was replaced with Panera Bread..but it was really nice when the mall had a nice sit down restaurant/bar that you could hang out/meet up in..you know?). A lot of the bigger stores and still around..and it really still is a decent mall in a lot of aspects. Everything seems to be moved around tho..store that always used to be there are still there but in different locations. The only store that I noticed that has not moved (not counting Old Navy..it's stayed the same but that location was a Dave and Barry's prior to) was the Tobacco store. That stores been in that same location since the 80's..ha. Overall I still like Westmoreland Mall..I wish it well..hope it continues to update with the times..and hope that it's still there for many visits to come! read more

So my 9 year old gets straight A's and I ask what she's like to do to celebrate. Her answer? Go to the mall! Westmoreland Mall has great anchor stores like JCPenny's and BonTon but what we loved is that it has our favs that aren't everywhere like Hollister and loads of shoe stores. There is a White Barn, which is Bath and Bodyworks decor and candle shop,. Love!!! It's 2 levels and kind of shaped like a star. They have a pretty great food court with a coffee shop, cookie place, Chinese, pizza....literally everything! The mall is surrounded by other great stores like TJ Maxx and Michael's. There are even some chain restaurants in the same lot. Totally worth it! read more

Terrible mall. It's truly a shame as I shopped here for many many years. There's only a select amount of stores, the rest are closed down. The casino is SO out of place, beyond me why it's there. Let's not mention the fact security there are TERRIBLE. My daughter was there and witnessed a physical fight. Security was NOWHERE in sight. The kids that go there are wild and definitely not a place to leave your kids at. My daughter also has witnessed inappropriate acts going on in the parking garage stairwell and elevator with YOUNG children. Absolutely disgusting, where is security? There needs to be cameras in there. My daughter told me shes also seen YOUNG children smoking marijuana in the parking garage. Again, ABSOLUTELY no security. She reported that to the security woman and she answered "When we have time we'll go look". Those kids aren't dumb obviously by the time they went out there the kids left so it made her feel like they thought she was lying. Again, definitely not a place to leave your children alone. I myself have witnessed illegal substance deals right in-front of my eyes with older men and young, young girls. It's a terrible place. Either shop online, or go to ross park mall, or literally any other mall. It's worth the drive. read more

Pleasantly surprised how much nicer Westmoreland Mall in Greensburg, Pa., is after the extensive upgrade caused by the departure of Kaufman's Department Store and the arrival of Macy's in the same space. The layout is a two story "X" floor plan that creates the impression that everything is closer to the center of the structure. There were far fewer mallwalkers present this Saturday evening, than would be found in malls with larger populations around them. This made the cavernous space feel somewhat empty, while at the same time, cleaner than its brethren to the east or west. The food court was also spacious with diversity of choice, and not much traffic. Westmoreland Mall still suffers from the sameness problem of all 20th Century shopping centers, in that they are mostly tenanted by the same franchise or corporate entities found across American. So, while you can usually find what you already know is likely to be there, it is difficult to find anything creative or original. Still, for mainstream shopping, this is at least an attractive place to visit for a few hours. read more

Sometime in the last decade or so, malls evolved from malls to "shopping destinations" or "shopping neighborhoods" and things like that. This evolution did not occur at Westmoreland; it's the kind of mall my middle school self would have gone to. But there's nothing wrong with that! There's plenty or parking, including a covered garage by the Macy's. You have good department store options with plenty of stores in the middle-- nothing hugely upscale, but a nice selection. It is always clean. The music isn't too annoying. The food court has a range of junk food and healthy options. The layout is confusing. I'm sure there's better shopping to be had in Pittsburgh proper, but if you're in Greensburg or the general vicinity, this is a surprisingly good alternative. read more

I came to the Panera Bread in Westmorland mall and the manager immediate got an attitude. I went back up and asked for a smoothie and she said that all of their blenders were shut down for the night. ( keep in mind that the restaurant was open for another hour and a half.) Because I knew the woman had some type of issue with me from the start, I had my friend call. She asked if the blenders were running etc and she responded with " yes, they do." By this comment it's evident she had some type of issue against me. She was very rude and her name was Alyssa. This was the worst experience ever. Is the panera chain supposed to hire such rude people? I am sick to my stomach honestly because of this experience. I'd give this place 0 stars but I have to chose one to post my review. I do not recommend this place. read more

Best mall in the Pittsburgh area? No. Is it the worst? Definitely not. Over the past few years this mall went from pretty empty, to pretty up and coming. While I think it is missing a few essential mall stores, I like that there are opportunities for a lot of small businesses. There is more than enough parking around the outside of the mall, including a parking garage next to Macy's. Inside, it is a bit outdated and you can tell what decade it was built in. The food court has an okay selection of fast food places- my favorite being a Panera that is attached to it. The mall has regular traffic on weekends, with nothing too crazy busy outside of the holiday seasons. During the weekdays it is surprisingly busy with a lot of senior citizens meeting up in the food court or exercising by walking around. read more

Westmoreland Mall has always been a staple in my life, from the time I was in jr. high, and would hang out on Friday nights with my friends, to the moments when I took my son to ride the train at Christmas and visit Santa, to now, shopping for a teenager for back to school shopping. There are a great deal of stores to shop at. The mall is very clean and bright. The food court isn't the best I've seen, but there are a few good selections. read more

This is a great Mall with 4 department stores and over 150 specialty shops plus a huge food court! Love the new H&M and Applebee's just opened in the front parking lot. For me, I like this mall because it is close to home. They do have some nice stores, but in no way do the kinds of stores compare to other malls in the area. I have had the pleasure of working inside this mall, and I am not gonna lie, the parking is kind of a mess. But, if you are looking to go shopping and not looking for any unique stores, this mall will do perfectly fine. Id suggest going to Ross Park if you have time to venture to a real mall. read more
