Upon completion of his inspection, he walked me through the house and showed me a few areas of concern, and even gave tips and advice on how I could complete some of the repairs on my own. Two years later, I'm in the process of selling the home and still had his report on file to provide to my realtor, showing all the work that had been done on the house. My realtor even commented about how detailed and thorough the report was. The buyers of my current home hired an inspector from a pretty large, well-known home inspection company in the Houston area. It was interesting how their inspector didn't even know how to operate the gas fireplace and advised them that it was broken‍. That's just a small example of life experience vs. mass-produced inspectors, as I recall Tony being the one to show me how to operate the fireplace when I was purchasing the home.
