We hired Weston Nurseries to redo our front beds this summer. A couple days after they were done, several plants died. We've been messaging with the person we worked with, and she never responds. I guess I will be replacing them myself on the spring. Different nursery, of course. Would not recommend hiring them for landscaping work. They don't stand by their products. read more

Pests are a huge problem. My bf took me to this nursery back in May, and I can say it's one of the most clean and beautiful nurseries I've ever been to in MA. They have a good selection of succulents, and Ive been searching for a good variegated SOP and string of turtles. They had a buy 4 get one free deal so I grabbed 2 of each and a pilea and they all looked healthy. At first I didn't see any pests. They looked clean and no signs of pest damage so I put them in my ikea cabinet. I've had luck with buying plants that were pest free so I didn't think anything of it. But 3 days later, as I was watering some plants I noticed a HUGE white & fuzzy lump on my SOP and knew it was a mealy bug and as I was examining it more I started to notice teeny aphids and scale AND THRIPS. Mind you they've been in my greenhouse cabinet for 3 days so I immediately examined every plant and ordered beneficial bugs to hopefully prevent them from taking over. Last night as I was doing my usual watering routine I noticed one of my anthuriums had little yellow bugs crawling around which I later found out were thrips, and as I was examining every other plant, I've noticed more thrips. They took over 1 cabinet and most likely my second cabinet and every other plant in my apartment. I'm a rare plant collector with around 200 plants and having to throw away and chop up my collection is SUPER stressful; plus THRIPS are the worst and most difficult pest to get rid of. Been going here for several years - and have attended seminars at Weston. Good selection of plants although I place an order with them early in the year so they can try and get the plants I want - various annuals and larger perennials. Most of the employees are very helpful but like every seasonal business some are new/temporary for the season and don't know as much. Late last fall I picked up 10 plants at 50% off that I overwintered in the ground, still in their pots. Although I enjoy visiting other nursery's and occasional buy a unique plant, the majority of the plants I buy come from Weston. Assistant Manager, Bonnie Woodward takes good care of me. read more

Fall is my favorite time to plant shrubs so they can develop roots before the next summer heat wave. I recently bought three butterfly bushes from Weston in Chelmsford, Anna went above and beyond to send me a picture of the plants before I made the the hour drive. I was so impressed with quality of their plants I made a second trip back there to get four hydrangea bushes that no one else had in stock. Their plants are very healthy, much more so than the big box stores. I would not hesitate buying plants from them again. While I was planting them one of the garden club ladies asked me where I got healthy hydrangeas this time of year, I think that is a great compliment to Weston and their employees. read more

I have to agree with the reviewer who wrote that some employees are good and others are not. I was there today and had the misfortune to deal with one in the latter category. In addition, maybe it's just the time of year, but their houseplant area is pathetic now - both in terms of the selection and the state of the plants. A bunch were half dead today. read more

Went to Weston Nurseries in Chelmsford, MA. Wow, what a great nursery!! I've been to most nurseries in the area, believe me, and this place has some really unusual trees and plants! We where looking for a small ornamental tree for a certain space and found the perfect one. Unfortunately it had just sold that day. But Brian helped us find it at their other location, and they even offer delivery and planting services!! We went to their other location in Hopkinton, MA to see the tree they had there, and WOW, get your walking shoes on, because you're going to need them. This nurserie is hands down the biggest one by far, we have ever seen!!! The pricing on the type of tree we bought was very reasonable compared to some other places we had looked. They had a huge selection of every type plant you can imagine, so if you're looking for something specific, this is the place to visit!! read more

I ordered four 3 gallon buckets of drift roses on the phone. The price on the buckets were less than what I paid. Three buckets were 3 gallon size and 1 bucket was a 2 gallon size. The quality was not the best. I am very disappointed with Weston Nurseries and would never order from them again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me! I ordered 4 more 3 gallon buckets from a different company. They were full, beautiful and cost less both for the roses and delivery. Shame on Weston Nurseries! read more

Today I visited Weston Nursery in Hingham. I was looking for specific evergreens, and while I didn't find exactly what I wanted I did find 7 trees or shrubs between $250 and $300. I walked the nursery by myself and although 3 employees walked past me, no one offered even a greeting much less help. I went to the cashier's office, stated that I wished to purchase 7 plants and asked if delivery was available. The cashier left to ask someone else and returned to tell me the delivery charge would be $250. She then told me to go speak with Donna who could answer further questions. Donna was busy helping someone pick their pumpkin, then she took questions from another employee, and then she returned to her watering. I was standing social distancing 8 feet away, but apparently didn't look like a worthwhile customer. While leaving I passed two employees who also were to occupied to help me. I was the only customer except the family purchasing a pumpkin and they wouldn't or couldn't take an order even when I asked the cashier for help. Over the last 30 years Weston (Hopkington) has sold me many pants, trees, even a swing kit; but this experience was totally different. If you won't talk with customers, you don't deserve business. read more

This morning I attended an excellent wreath making class at Weston nurseries in Chelmsford. This was not a class where you just decorated a premade wreath. We actually hand made a wreath with gorgeous fresh greens from Weston's. Jim was an excellent teacher and everyone went home with a beautiful wreath. The garden center is lovely and the workspace was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend taking a class for a little "me" time during this busy holiday season. You'll be glad you did! read more

After listening extensive advertising on WBUR I decided to check this out... IT IS BAD! I am going back to West Groton nursery!!! No customer service at all. I had dealt with Mellisa. Management, unless she is SOMEBODY's daughter or ... whatever, get rid of her ASAP. She was trying to get rid of me as fast as she could. Rude. WBUR also needs to do due diligence before airing Weston Nursery ads. The tomato, pepper choices, well...., there is no choice actually, two - there kinds at most. Staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in choosing large trees for our yard. Installed, the trees are beautiful and healthy. The cost of the trees and delivery was very reasonable for what we received. read more
