Had the best time here with my boyfriend yesterday! We got here around 3:45 pm, and there were barely any people which was great for social distancing. It was really nice to be able to relax outside without having to worry as much about distancing and other safety measures. The air was crisp and I would highly coming out here to disconnect from our busy lives a little! We had a mini photo shoot with the cute pumpkin patch that they had and 10/10 would recommend doing that! There was a beautiful view of the colorful fall trees too, as far as the eye can see. Unfortunately, they were out of apple cider donuts for the day and we were looking forward to that, but that's our fault for getting there too late in the afternoon. So if you're interested in the donuts I would say to go earlier during the day! Overall, Drew Farms nice place that I would highly recommend, if you're looking for a lower-traffic spot for apple and pumpkin picking! The few people we saw during our time there all had masks on too and we really appreciated the mask enforcement. I love this place. It's such a pleasant change from the awful McApple orchards that everyone flocks to in Stow, where "apple picking" has become a blanket term to describe what amounts to a weird, chaotic, overpriced carnival. Drew Farms is one of those places where you can still just enjoy a nice day wandering around a quiet orchard, pick some apples, take some photos, and eat a few donuts in the grass. It's quiet and pleasant, and on weekends they usually have a little fire lit and a local band playing next to the picnic tables. There's no fighting for parking, no long lines, and no headaches. It reminds me of all the places we ever went as kids, before so many of them turned into what amounts to a strip mall experience. Obviously, some days are busier than others, but I have been here during the height of the season on busy days, and have only ever had good experiences. I'll take this place over Honey Pot Hill any day of the year. read more

This is a perfect orchard. The apple trees are healthy, the apples are amazing, the cider donuts are the best around, and the folks who work there are friendly, helpful, and genuine people. Picking apples isn't cheap but you get a lot of apples and a wonderful experience for what you pay. I have been coming here since I was a little girl. Guess you can say I'm a loyalist. There's a quick tractor ride up the hill to go Apple Picking or you can walk up. Pumpkins early picking or go mid to late October for bigger options. Plenty of Apple choices to choose from. The guide will always tell you where to pick depending on the apples you want. Came here yesterday to pick some apples and take in the fall atmosphere in New England! I found it online after reading reviews of some other more commercial places and am happy we came here and skipped the lines. We bought bags easily and walked a short distance to all of the trees. The trees has different color tags, but none of my group had paid attention to which tag meant which type of apple. All in all, it did not make a big deal and we had fun picking and tasting along the way. Lots of apples left! We took some photos in the pumpkin patch and then grabbed cider/apple cider donuts before we left. My favorite part of this place is that I got to bring my dog along! My nephews, their mom and I all come here each year to pick apples and we've always had a wonderful time. The people working there are pleasant and explain where everything is. They have cider donuts which are yummy. They have a fire pit and s'mores kits you can buy. Some weekends they have a pizza truck that comes. They have a nice selection of pumpkins. Every Halloween they also do a jack-o-lantern walk which is really pretty and fun. It's a nice orchard to go to that isn't huge and over-hyped like some places are. Came here a few weeks ago and had a good experience. I was a little nervous because some of the reviews here made it sound not as dog friendly as they advertise and hinted at a few racial concerns. Being a family with a dog and ethnic minority I am glad to say I didn't have any problems. Everyone that worked there was very friendly. I loved that they allow dogs. They have a little band and bonfire on the weekend. There was enough parking and donuts and cider were only a dollar. Not crowded at all which is even better. I love apple picking. And in the past three weeks, I have gone every weekend. It is a great excuse, to walk a little in the beautiful fall weather hand in hand with my man. The thing I love about Drew Hill is that it is a very small farm. There is a small parking lot and you can take a tractor ride to the top of the hill where all the apple trees are. The view from the top is spectacular. The ground is extra spongy and I would not suggest it for people with a lot of little children. Maybe only one or two kids that way you can monitor more closely. It is not too crowded and the drive from Boston is so quick. No donuts, apple crisp, or hot cider here. But they do have a small pumpkin patch. read more

We took our 3 and 5 year old to Drew Farm a couple weeks ago to do some apple picking. One of the big reasons we picked this location was to avoid some of the crazy crowds at the other larger PYO farms. Granted, they don't have as many varieties as some of the other farms, but to be able to go on the tractor ride and walk around picking without 500 people surrounding you made it worth the trip. Get away from the city. Drive about 40 minutes beyond Boston's limits and find yourself at Drew Farms. Situated atop a rolling hill, Drew Farms offers pick-your-own apples, a plethora of pumpkins, flowers and an escape from bustling city life that everyone needs! With eyes bigger than our stomachs, we choose the largest size bag ( half bushel) and proceeded to fill it to the brim. Their orchard included McIntosh, Cortland, red delicious and golden delicious apples in long, long rows. We ate a few along our journey and took some amazing pictures of the surrounding foliage. Although the pumpkins came from Vermont (no pick your own here), we chose two medium beauties and a whopping 40-pounder! The man who helped us was extremely kind and even offered to carry our goods back to the car! Somehow, we managed the load and made off with load of apples and three pumpkins, to the tune of $47.50. This is a beautiful orchard with great views snd they usually have a campfire going for marshmallows. They best thing is they allow / welcome leashed dogs so you can enjoy a lovely walk with your furry friend. The apples are delicious also. A wonderful destination! read more

Fantasssstic place to go for apple picking. After calling around other orchards, they told us they were already closed for apple picking. Boo. We were fortunate to come across these guys and were so glad we did! Not only did they have quite a bit of apples left, they let us take our dogs with us! It was a wonderful experience, well worth the drive and quite cheap! How do you beat $22 for half a bushel (and they also take credit card!)?! Anyway, we'll probably be back again next year. Not quite sure why the other reviews were so negative as I thought the place was wonderful and the people were nice. Also, be sure to grab 1/2 a gallon of cider ($5). Great place to pick your own apples, decent price at $22/bushel. The trees were full of good quality apples. If your looking for a nice quiet orchard to enjoy a fall day picking apples this is the place. No petting zoo or extras here, but it's just what I was looking for, a place to take my 1 & 4 year old to enjoy nature, apple picking (and tasting ;-)) without all the distractions of some other places. Today was opening day for pick-your-own apples, and we concentrated on Macs and Courtlands. We were surprisingly the only car in the lot, which was amazing considering it was a gorgeous New England day. Perfect weather. We picked from virgin trees. A half-bushel now costs $22, but well worth the price to spend some peaceful time outdoors and choose your own gorgeous fruit. Will probably be back in a couple of weeks. Yeah. We were so impressed at the lack of crowds here, versus the typical giant orchards in Stow where cars are lined up and crowd control is an issue. Granted, they don't have all the amenities like hay mazes, they DO have apple cider donuts and PLENTIFUL trees. Plus a FREE tractor ride to the orchard, which my 6 year old loved. In addition to the lovely quaint orchard and lack of crowds, Drew Farms also allows dogs to come picking, so we were able to bring our dear, 13 year old fella along with us. It was his first tractor ride and he loved sniffing around the orchard. The people at Drew Farms were exceedingly friendly, and that coupled with the lack of crowds was a welcome respite from the typical fall apple picking we've experienced in past years at other orchards. read more

I've been to this farm a few times now. First experience was pleasant. The second and third ones were not and both times involved the owner, Drew, himself. I will not step foot at this farm again after the way he spoke to the adults in our group with our kids listening. He started by saying he doesn't want to but needs to address the situation which was that there's a lot of you and I don't want you on my farm eating all my apples and only paying for the ones in the bag(6 adults and 3 kids). This took place on the tractor before it even left the parking lot....absolutely humiliating and accusatory for no good reason. The other time I was told we came too close to closing time (4:35) but he gruntingly let us walk up when I said we wouldn't be too long. After we walked back down in 15 mins I see the owner allowing multiple families still go up without any confrontation. What a shame as we live a few minutes away and would have loved to call this our go-to apple picking place. Employees are nice but beware of the owner read more
