We had THE BEST time Saturday night at the 1920s Murder Mystery at Weston Wine Co. We had never been there before and it was our first murder mystery but I assure you, it will not be our last! It is such a cute venue and the murder mystery was so well organized. I am not a wine drinker, but I am a sucker for sweet/dessert wines and all three I sampled were delicious. If you don't drink wine, they have beers, cider, and other beverages available, so don't let the "winery" keep you from checking this place out. We drove out to Weston from downtown KC for a 80s prom murder mystery party! We had a great time at the event -- you get 3 tasting pours of wine with your ticket for only $14 total! Great deal. We were kind of disappointed that we didn't get to do much discussion before the murderer was revealed, but we enjoyed dressing up and acting like our characters so much that it didn't matter too much! As for the wine, I will start off by saying that I am not a wine person. However my wine drinking friends agreed that the 3 tastes we got were not our favorite wines we've ever had. I was expecting to like the pink moscato the least but it was actually the best of them all. But if you like sweet wines, you will love all 3 of the pours! Weston Wine is located on the main street in Weston, so you will have to find street parking. We went on a Friday evening around 6 pm, and there was plenty of parking on side streets. read more

Stopped by Weston Wine in a Friday afternoon for some wine. It was pretty empty while we were there. One thing I love about this place is the variety of wines they offer. I had a flight, which comes with cupcakes- I wish they offered a savory option, as I prefer dry wines and the cupcakes don't necessarily pair well with the wines. We came to the Weston Wine Co for a murder mystery evening and we had a great time! Tastings of three wines was included with each ticket as well as participation in an 1980s camp-themed murder mystery. For this one, we were just told to dress in camper-type clothing. Some of the evenings, you are sent a character description ahead of time and dress and act accordingly. The host was really fun and energetic and the "bartender" was very engaging, as well. Oy, they don't have any local wines here, or wines made from the area. Decor is very teenage, meets Claire's and Limited Too. I opted for a three flight with savory tastes. The only wine they had that they made was their sangria. I watched as they made a new batch, and a friend noticed that they added a red fruit syrup into the drink. I tried it, and it tasted terrible--like straight up sugar with some alcohol mixed in. Cheese was... cubed. Tasted like a basic cheese tray from the grocery store. Very, very basic. A literal hidden gem, I've driven an hour several times just for their incredible events! Harry Potter nights, murder mystery nights, Twilight trivia, you name it! The wines are delicious, and each trivia ticket comes with 3 tastings. You can also buy half glasses of wines, as I once did. While they look small, the drinks are strong. They also have different food options available depending on the day. My favourite by far was the grilled cheese - simple yet effective if the wine hit you a bit harder than you thought. This trip to Missouri we were able to see their new location. I didn't find the decor as sparkly and fun as the last place, but the guy doing our tasting was amazing! He was so much fun and we enjoyed talking and laughing with him! The wines were pretty good, we took home a couple bottles of Serena (sweet red wine) and the sangria was AMAZING!!!!!! I came here back in January with a big group for a friend's birthday and had a blast! I like that they have $1 tasting samples of all their wine. They also have several dry wines for people who aren't a fan of sweeter wines. I came here more recently on a Friday afternoon with my husband since we both had the day off. It was a good time to come because it wasn't crowded. We sat out on the patio with our dog and we were the only ones outside. It's definitely more of a "girly" place, but he enjoyed the Harry Potter theme they have going on right now. He even bought a pair of the Harry Potter tasting glasses. We shared a flight that came with two cupcakes and a chocolate frog. He also wanted a taste of the butterbeer wine. He liked it, but it's definitely very sweet. I liked all of the wines that we chose for the wine flight. I think we got a Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, and Champagne. I'd recommend a visit, especially if you're a Harry Potter fan! read more

I was surprised to discover they infuse flavor into their Vodka with fresh oranges before adding it to mixed drinks. I thought that was a nice touch. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to please. I only drop a star for the building and decor. It's not bad, but it could use some improvement. My husband and I stopped by West and wine on a whim on Sunday afternoon and could not have been more impressed! We decided to do a winetasting, seeing as we've never been here before and did not know which wines we would like. Their wine tasting was anyone on the menu for $1, with the exception of three or four winds which were $2 for a tasting. This made the menu super flexible! We were able to try several different wines, I believe we ended up trying about 12 of them. We tried every single one of the sweet wines and then a couple of the semi sweet and two champagnes. They had tons of board and card games that we could enjoy while we were there too. We were there for several hours, and the two ladies that were doing our winetasting were phenomenal. They had excellent suggestions and were able to tell us so much about the winery and the wines!! We absolutely loved the wine selection. Our favorite was the Serena! That's winery was super fun and they also had a little local shopping section which was cute. We will absolutely be visiting again!! read more

We asked after each pour since names ( diamond cuts) gave no hint and written descriptions were dry, semi sweet or sweet. Staff never got the hint we wanted more explanations. They did advise us they had anew owner...let's hope she does some training. Wines were basic and offered a "royal pairing " which was a flight paired with cupcakes or cheese. read more

We came here after the distillery tour. At the present time they do not have any of their own wine, but an assortment of other wines (6). We tried all 6 at $1/taste. Then bought a bottle. The bottle was about $18 plus the $6 tasting + tip was approx $30. I was disappointed that the tasting wasn't discounted or waived considering we bought a bottle and it was a taste. I would consider coming back here once they have their own supply back just to try them. If they are out of their wine and you visit, you're better off walking over to Pirtle, unless you are ok with tasting non-local wines. read more
