Delicious diner food with fast service! The place was packed and they were able to seat 8 of us pretty quickly. The biscuits are MASSIVE. If you're getting a side of biscuits and gravy... plan to share it with someone. So many great options to choose from. Don't think you can go wrong with anything you decide on. A few tables outside but mostly inside. Smaller diner with 2 bathrooms (one men and one women). Our server was nice and made sure we were happy with our choices. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on a biscuit and she warned me that the biscuit was too large and advised me to choose something else and I'm glad I did because AGAIN... the biscuits are MASSIVE! Good food, good prices, and friendly staff. It's a small diner with a fun setting. Everything was clean and welcoming. We enjoyed our lunch. I upgraded to sweet potato fries which weren't an up charge on our bill which was nice. They were delicious. I was a tad sad that the ranch isn't homemade (the Detroiter in me loves homemade diner ranch!), but overall it worked in the wrap nicely. Dad's Bellybuster meal was large & yummy. Worth the price. They have wifi and the password is on the wall to use. They take cash and cards. Parking is easy in front. There is patio seating and a counter area to sit at as well. We'll be back I'm sure. Really enjoyed the Westside Diner, especially the breakfast quesadilla. I was concerned that it might be too spicy, as I have a low tolerance for that, but it was actually very flavorful and not at all hot. Those of you who are wild for hot food can always add hot sauce to it, but of course I passed on that option. Try it for yourself on your next visit here! read more

Best Country fried steak I've had. The Gravy completes this dish. The Monte Cristo was filling they were generous with the meat but the cheese was almost absent. The seasoned fries were good. Our friends got the grouper sandwich which they said was super flaky tender and really good. The staff was nice. read more

This is a real cozy "close to the UP" type of diner. Super busy on a Friday AM and there may have had been some tight parking, but we were seated fairly quickly. I ended up ordering the Chicken Fried Steak and 3 silver dollar pancakes. It was legit a lot of good and cheap food. Could it have been better? Sure. But was it amazing? Yes! read more

My family and I were traveling from Indiana to Munising, Michigan and we were very hungry and there was a 15 minute wait. We waited and eventually we got seated. The table was very wet and there were a lot of crumbs still on the table. We got seated around 11:15 am, we placed our order by 11:20 am, it took over 45 minutes of waiting for our food. My mom and I spilt the pick 3 omelet. We had Bacon, Mushrooms, and American cheese in the omelette, I can tell you this, the bacon was very very chewy the mushrooms were very slimy, and the American cheese was half melted but not all the way melted. The omelette was cold when we received it. We got hash-browns and they were very gross, they were cooked for too too long. The rye bread was very cold and very chewy. The waitress never once checked in on our table. The place itself was very dirty. And to top it all off, my stomach has been in hurting ever since I ate the omelette. I was a little nervous about ordering fish at a diner, but it was fish fry Friday. I ordered the baked grouper and oh my stars was it good! Really hot - fresh out of the oven - form and delicious. No fishy smell or taste at all! My husband had the mile high meatloaf and devoured it. His only complaint was that it came covered in gravy and he prefers to put ketchup on his meatloaf. But he still ate it! My only complaints were that, between the fish, the baked potato and the corn (veggie if the day) my plate looked a little pale. And the salad cake with croutons on the side (awesome!) but shredded cheese on the lettuce. If I'd known there was cheese on the salad I wouldn't have ordered blue cheese dressing. But now I know for next time. And there WILL be a next time! read more

My breakfast skillet was huge and their homemade biscuits were too big for me to finish. They have a little outdoor eating area and the inside decor is all beachy and the vibe was laid back, seemed like it was a place locals might go. Since the negative temps had us off the snowmobile trails today we decided to explore and found the Westside Diner. Welcoming, cozy, friendly service and delicious food. I enjoyed a juicy made to order hamburger and my husband devoured the Monte Cristo. Kids enjoyed hand breaded Chicken fingers. Even the daily soup choice of clam chowder didn't disappoint. Recommend to me by some soldiers, I stopped for breakfast. It looks like a small country mom and pop from the outside, but the parking lot was full. Still found a good place to park and went in. The place was very nice inside and the wait staff was very friendly. I got seated with a menu right away. I ordered a Western Skillet with country fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, ham, onions and green peppers with toast. It didn't take long before I got my food, and O...M...G!!!! Everything was PERFECT! Even the potatoes were done right! Crispy outside, fluffy inside. Large chunks of real ham (not slivers of lunch meat) large sliced toast, and talk about DELICIOUS! The only thing I could possibly say that was bad is the fact that I couldn't finish it all! I will be here for a week, and believe me... I'll be back to try them at lunch and dinner too! Definitely a place to go if you're in the area. Update: came back again... build my own breakfast and they nailed it! Not many know what eggs over medium are, but they definitely did. Service was slow. Food was sub par. Really small space, so if you like eating right next to 10 other people this is the place for you.

I will never come back. Nothing was wrong with the food. But staff didn't feel the need to wear a mask. Two of the servers wore masks another had it hanging off her ear the whole time there and never made a effort to put it on. None of the kitchen staff wore masks. Restaurant just got off a three month shut down. Everyone is crying about restaurants struggling during the shut down and now that they are allowed to reopen they do nothing to try to stay open. read more

Visited this place this past weekend with family. We have varying ages and rates but everyone agreed that the for was great. The outside of the place and decor do not accurately represent the great service and very good food! We had the Friday fish s special which was excellent. I had the tuna melt and was very pleased. Small simple menu, but it meant that there was attention to the little things! Homemade biscuits and a homemade gravy. It was amazing. And Large! That's your warning. My kiddos devoured a short stack and sausage. I was even envious of the corned beef hash at a table nearby. There is one thing of note.
