I've come here many times, and bought a few firearms from here. It is a small operation but very friendly.

They cater to the north valley outdoor enthusiast: hunting, fishing, shooting, camping, barbecuing, you'll find your items here. This store is fairly new and is located within North Valley Plaza in the building once occupied by Mervyn's. The plaza has a lot of free parking and is easy to access from both the Cohasset Road and East Avenue freeway exits. I enjoy coming here to stock up on pellets for my Traeger grill. Easily the lowest price in town here. There is always a good selection and a wide assortment of options. They seem to have sales often as well which makes shopping here all the more enticing. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, too. You won't get a true Cabela's experience here, but definitely come if you are in need of outdoor gear at a good price.

But he wasn't doing anything. So I went back to the glass case and waited for someone to come over and show me the Rangefinding Binocular, I stood there for over 20 minutes. And I look back over at the other counter and there were 4 workers laughing and not one of them asked if I needed any help. I never experience anything like this as a customer, because when a customer is waiting at a glass case I'm sure the customer would like to look at something. If there was a Zero Star I would have given it Zero. Hopefully upper management will look at this review and have a talk with the workers around the Hunting and gaming section. I was going to potentially buy a $1000 Rangefinding Binocular for hunting. But will order it online from Bass Pro. Date: August 8 2026 Time: 4:40 pm to 5:00pm

Sierra - Welcome to the old OfficeMax. Another location of this business is at the Y in South Lake Tahoe and you can tell why when you go inside.

This used to be an OfficeMax. It's a large space and they have a broad selection of stuff but at…read morethe end of the day, there is no specific area in which they specialize. It feels like it's a surplus store. They bought too much of a certain item so it lands here at discount. Is that the case? No idea. It also feels like it's what is needed in this town. Instead of running off to San Francisco or Sacramento, you can find clothes here. There are going to be plenty of other retail outlets doing similar things like Nordstrom Rack over at the old U-Mall. Would have been nice to have had this here in previous years though. It was also a lot of different specialties under one roof. A bit of the jack of all trades, master of none style. Buy shoes, dog food and a bicycle? This is your place. No one is going to want to do that though. Or surprise me...I'd like to see something land in this retail space and thrive for more than a few years at a time. From AI: Sierra Trading Post opening in East Hanover Sierra is known as an off-price retailer specializing in outdoor and activewear apparel, footwear, and gear. They offer a wide range of products at generally lower prices than department and specialty stores, with savings typically ranging from 20-60%. Sierra is part of the TJX Companies, which also owns T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods.
