My son's baseball team kicked off the season with a fun team bonding day at Pleasant Harbor,…read morestarting at WHOA Island Water Park and ending with dinner at Dillon's. It made for a great afternoon of fun for both the kids and parents. We started at WHOA Island, where everyone was given a wristband and life jacket before heading out onto the floating obstacle course. Unfortunately, the rope swing was out of service, but everything else was open. The kids spent the hour climbing, bouncing, jumping, and racing around the obstacles and had a blast. The moms who didn't want to participate rented the floating cabana for $50 so we could relax in the water with life jackets, cool off, and watch the kids and dads from nearby. They don't allow you just to be in the water in that space unless you pay the rental fee for the cabana. However once we were in the water floating around lots of other random people came in and did the same thing to watch their people who weren't in our group and clearly they never paid a fee. It was a very hot day so it was miserable if you weren't in the water to cool off. After our hour on the obstacle course, it was time for the H2-WHOA floating slides. There are three slides--one shorter slide and two taller slides. One of the tall ones launches you farther out into the water, while the other sends you much higher before splashing down. These slides are no joke! They are fast and definitely give you a thrill. A few of the kids started on the shorter slide before working up the courage to try the bigger ones. Everyone kept climbing back up the stairs for another turn, so it's safe to say they loved it. I joked that Tylenol and Advil were probably in everyone's future because these slides send you into the water with some serious force! We did have one dad whose ear was hurting after a hard landing and another who landed on his head and felt dizzy afterward, so they're definitely not for the faint of heart. Even so, they both said they had a great time. I guess this is the tallest floating slide! I also think one hour at the obstacle course followed by one hour on the slides was plenty of time. No need to pay for more time at either area. By the end, everyone was tired, hungry, and ready for dinner at Dillon's right next door. Overall, it was fun if you're looking for an adventurous activity. Lots of laughs, just be prepared because the big slides are much more intense than they look!

Even though we accidentally booked for Saturday, they were very accommodating and set us up for a Friday rental instead. Everyone involved in the service was very friendly and provided clear directions throughout the experience. We were shown the map inside and instructed on where to go to perfectly meet our 4-hour window. The same map was displayed on the Polaris while we drove which was great and fairly easy to follow. The Polaris RZR was clean although a little wet. The added benefit of the cooler with some cold water in the back was much appreciated. Thank you to the personnel who helped make sure the helmets and seat belts were all securely fastened before we took off. The trail had some smoother spots but was very rocky throughout. Nothing the Polaris couldn't handle though! All in all, we had some great views and saw a few animals including burros, birds, cows, and a jackrabbit. Would recommend this experience! Thanks!

This limited us as to where we felt comfortable going. We actually got lost, and had to use our phone settings for family members to come and find us (rescue us). Was told there are a couple of UTV's in the fleet that the GPS is broken. Otherwise, good time for the rest of our family.

BUYER BEWARE...DO BUSINESS WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!!!! This is Ownership that does not keep its word, nor appreciate people that make an effort to support local. It was a recent Monday and my birthday was Wednesday of the same week. I purchased a Groupon for SmashIt and was REALLY excited and looking forward to going. As instructed, I went to their website to book a reservation. Their calendar allowed me to select Wednesday and go through all the steps necessary to schedule, including a prompt that said something like "complete our waiver to secure your reservation," which I did. I thought I was set, and didn't think anything else of it. Wednesday came and my husband and I drove up to New River from Phoenix (not around the corner) and found the place to be locked. I called the phone number and nobody answered. We waited...in the heat...in the afternoon...on my BIRTHDAY. I sent a text to the number with no response. Finally, I called again and left a voicemail. Shortly thereafter (still waiting outside the storefront), I got a call back from the owner, who informed me that they are closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and that he doesn't know why their website would allow me to go through the process, but he insisted I didn't have a reservation. When I informed him of the details of the steps I went through for scheduling, he was snarky when he asked if I got a confirmation email, which I did not, and I acknowledged that. I told him how much I was looking forward to this, and that it was my birthday and his only response to that was that he would be interested to see a confirmation email and they are closed and he doesn't have staff for Wednesdays. He was condescending in pointing out that it was not his problem. He was able to see the waivers that were completed for my husband and me, and when they were created, but nothing else. Then he said "Oh...my wife must have opened Wednesdays. She's not here right now. I'll talk to her about it when she gets back and one of us will get back to you in the next little bit." Nobody from SmashIt EVER reached out to me by phone, text or email. In good faith, in my mind I gave them 24 hours to get back to me with some kind, ANY kind of response. When it didn't come, I went into my Groupon account and requested a cancellation, which you can if it's within 72 hours. I had a lengthy chat (in writing) with a Groupon rep and let them know what happened. The rep escalated the cancellation request, and when I got the email from Groupon, it stated that the VENDOR DECLINED the refund request. That means NOT ONLY DOES SMASHIT NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT THEY WERE BIDING TIME UNTIL GROUPON COULD NOT REFUND WITHOUT THEM APPROVING IT. It would have gone a long way if they reached out to me when they said they would, offering an apology, explanation or try to make it right in some way. Now I am out both the money for the experience and for the birthday experience itself. I know I could reschedule, but if this is how unethical the ownership of this company is in doing business, I would rather do business with LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE!

Unfortunately, our day on the water was disappointing because the boat was not equipped with an anchor that would hold in the lake conditions. One of the main reasons we rented the boat was to stop, swim, cool off, and let our kids play in the water. While we watched numerous other boaters anchored and enjoying the lake, we were unable to do the same because our boat continually drifted. Had the anchor worked properly, our experience would have been much better. The customer service was great, but not being able to safely anchor significantly impacted our day and kept us from fully enjoying the rental. I hope the company addresses this issue for future customers.
