H2OhNo! Considering that this is the tallest floating slide in the world, they should give you more instructions on how to land it properly. If you enter the water with anything other than perfect-legs-first formation you will have major bruising and possibly get whiplash. my neck and back hurt 4 days later and I seriously considered seeing a chiropractor. I also watched a girl around 12 hit the water and bust her lip open. If this one's on your bucket list..... You might want to think twice.

What a BLAST!! Before reading my review, I suggest reading some of the previous reviews. Today we took 2 of our granddaughters to H2WHOA!, and barring one of our granddaughters landing hard on her last slide, we had a great time. As this was my wife and my first time doing this, I read most of the reviews before going. Of course, negative reviews where people got banged up quite a bit concerned me about the risks of injury for any of us, so I asked questions when we checked in. Our experience with all the staff was good, from the guys at the desk that checked us in that were happy to answer my questions to the lifeguard and the attendant at the top of the slide. Instructions from the guys at the desk were brief, but effective. They said when going feet first to raise your torso as if doing a sit-up, and when going face first to bend over. The only thing they left out that I think could be useful, especially to those that are afraid is to open your eyes after exiting the slide to orient yourself. Below I'll try to improve on their instructions with the pics I included with my review. But first, how do you decide what package to get? Besides money, I believe there are a few factors to consider, 1) the day you're going, e.g. weekday, weekend, holiday, 2) time of day, 3) number of times you want to slide, and how long you plan to be in the area. We purchased half day passes. It's a bit pricey for 1 activity considering what you'd pay for a water park or amusement park, but with school being out, we had no idea what to expect. Plus, several videos I watched online showed long lines. We had limited time and days, so our passes were for Monday afternoon (2-6). When there was a line, there were only a few people ahead of us, which was just enough time to catch our breath after swimming to the ladder after the slide and climbing 3-4 stories of stairs. My instructions for minimizing injury resulting from improper water entry: 1. Open your eyes to get your bearings after exiting the slide. I tried keeping my eyes open from the top to bottom, but on the big slide, it's difficult to keep them open just before going up the ramp. 2. Sit up or bend toward the water after exiting the ramp. Whether going feet or face first, stay relaxed going down the slide; try not to tense up at the at the bottom. 3. Straighten your legs and point your feet or extend your arms and hands before entering the water. 4. Take breaks every few slides or so, and don't forget to hydrate. We took 10-15 minutes breaks in the water beside the slide after 3 or 4 slides. Do what's best for your fitness level. Finally, the only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating was because I skinned my knees (like rug burn) my first time down. I went face first on the big slide, and it must have been more than 10 minutes since anyone had been on that slide. What I didn't know, and apparently the attendants, was that the ramp dries out in the sun relatively fast. The only way the ramp gets water is when people go down the slide. It happened twice. Regardless, we had a great time. When our other granddaughter comes back from travel, we WILL go back.

    Extreme bruising on hip bone

It's so so fun, I've done it twice, and it's worth it for the 2 hours Night Flight for 35$. I am also extremely athletic and into sports and 18 so i'm young and still agile. So it was fine for me but many people around me were scared or landed in terrible positions. My biggest complaint is really out of the company's hands, I got extreme bruising along my hip bone and pelvic bone the first time. Then even worse bruising on my hip bone the second time. Very fun but be prepared to be in a bit of pain the next couple of days.

Finally tried out H2-Whoa yesterday and while it was super fun, it was not at all what we expected. THIS IS NOT A PASSIVE EXPERIENCE! It's way closer to an extreme sport than a water park waterslide and requires you to make lots of split second body positioning decisions or you will absolutely wreck yourself. Luckily, I like extreme sports but a lot of other people yesterday forfeited their hour after trying once. We chose the $30/person for 1 hour option, unsure of whether an hour would be too much time or not enough. The staff were all super friendly, but basically zero information was given. Not knowing what I was getting into, I marched right up to the tallest slide where the only information was a sign that said to go "feet first or head first". Cool, seems like a straightforward water slide so I launched myself down feet first as soon as the lifeguard said "go" and ended up landing in the worst type of back flop because I didn't realize how much perfect body positioning was necessary. I tried again off the middle slide and landed on my side so hard, it completely knocked the wind out of me for several minutes. I was pretty ready to bail after 4-5 slides of pure abuse until one of the customers who is there all the time talked me through how to end up upright before you hit the water. If it weren't for him, I would have bailed 20 min in. The last 40 mins were a lot of fun, but it still hurt a ton. All in all, it was fun but we are completely wrecked the next day and I probably wouldn't go back or recommend to friends. Every square inch of my body is so bruised and sore, and my legs and sides are covered in broken blood vessels. SO much water went up both of our noses that we're still leaking and draining lake water 24 hours later. This is VERY concerning, seeing as how Lake Pleasant is known to be contaminated with Naegleria Fowleri, or the "brain eating amoeba". While infections are rare, it's almost universally fatal and almost exclusively happens when water is forced up the nose in places like lakes. I've always been careful to avoid repeated forceful exposures like this, but there's no avoiding it here. There should probably be some type of signage posted about this. I don't want to be a downer, but I'm honestly shocked that nobody has died here yet. I think the experience would have been much better if there was a briefing first where someone talks about body positioning/how to not absolutely destroy yourself.

My third time! Love this place. It's exciting and extreme so yes it's not for the timid. Great people here also. 5 stars and looking forward to my 4th time. Working on flips need improvement myself.

The slide and the cliff dive is awesome. Please land properly. It was so fun flying through the air like a bird.

Despite the bad reviews on here we fortunately didn't deal with inappropriate and immature lifeguards nor any bad bruising or busted lips.
