It carries everything from alcoholic bevs, sodas, high protein snacks, sushi, bread and pastries, fresh-ish produce, household items.... honestly this is a one-stop shop and a great asset for the community. They sell a lot of health-conscious items and popular junk food alike; there's something for everybody. And the prices are honestly REALLY good for a convenience store. I got a pre-prepped THICK sushi roll with fat fish slices for $12 and a high protein Slate coffee for $4. I was very pleased. The friendly staff and quirky neighbors make my visits even better. I somehow keep missing both of their open hours, and it tends to change based on whether GSU classes are in session or not. I totally get that from a business standpoint so I can't even be mad. The uncle and auntie I normally see here have always kept it copacetic and professional. Sure, they're not gonna high-five you when you walk through the door or try to upsell you on anything. The vibe here is calm southern indifference -- they'll help you with what you need and get you on your way. Short, simple and sweet. I'm a small town South Georgia/North Florida girly and stopping into David's really brings some of that roadside nostalgia in my life (because let's face it, ATL is in the South but it isn't necessarily OF the south). The area it's in is kinda ironic as this is a country stand nestled in a very pretentious/expensive neighborhood, but it's also kinda on the edge of Tucker. Prices are sometimes higher due to its location and regular customer base. Grab peanuts. Grab produce. Grab jams. Grab breads. They're keeping the southern tradition alive in a city that is quickly leaving some of this history behind and for that they'll always have my business.
