Aleha did my nails. Exact shape I wanted. I have 5 different colors plus she helped pick out some colors..she was so accommodating.. gentle but fast. This is the 5th time I got my nails @ Westwood & I have to say they're great.. great customer service. I've had a different technician each time & a couple were ( well let's just say I won't ask for them again ) but the others were decent but Aleha.. she was superb & I'll b asking for her each time. After a very bad experience at Luxe Nails and Spa my friend and I went to Westwood Nails right away to have her nails fixed. They treated us really well and since it was my friend's first time getting her nails done, Lee, the tech explained to her step by step what she was doing and asked her continuously if she was liking it. Place is nicely dressed, but made an appt for nails at 5, and they started my pedicure at 520. The girl took 20 minutes and did a terrible job, i was really upset. She told the manager she didn't want to do my nails which was fine, I asked the manager for my ticket as I no longer wanted to get my nails done. The manager wouldn't let me pay for my pedicure and, she wanted to make things right. She did my nails instead. She took off my previous nails and started from scratch and did a full set of pink and white. It took an hour and a half to get the old ones off and the new on a perfect, but she made it happen. My nails have never looked so good. Because of the turn in customer service and the managers work (Kim) I will be back. I love this nail salon. I've been going here for 10+ years and will drive the 20 minutes I live just to visit West Woods. They do a good job, get it done quickly and it's affordable. I'm not the most patient person so I would recommend calling ahead. I can understand the bad reviews below about staff not being the most friendly, but I've honestly thought that about every nail salon I've ever visited. I will never come back to this salon. My first time in the technician rushed through my acrylic nails leaving me with jagged edges, uneven nails and an awful design, one nail with a huge polish smear. I forgave because I came in at 630 and close time is 7 but truly, if the tech was unwilling to stay past closing to give me quality nails she should have said this job is too large for the time I have, can we reschedule. The second time I went in I was having the above acrylic nails removed and replaced with shellac polish. The tech shredded my real nails, tearing the acrylic off way too quickly and very painfully. One of my real nails is ripped in half, down the middle. I was bleeding all over the files and equipment. Another nail was ripped to the quick and is so sensitive now. On my other hand one of my nails has a hole, exposing the quick and now ultra sensitive to pressure and water. She should have taken more time to be gentle. My nails are now very messed up and I wasn't able to get polish due to the open wounds. She still charged me $20, the price of a manicure when all I had was old acrylic removed and my cuticles cut back. I will never be back, I gave a second chance and am now regretting it. read more

I don't really get my nails done, but decided to treat myself to a mani last week. The prices are decent ($15 for a mani) but they don't have the prices posted. You have to ask the girl at the front, which I don't like because I would rather read them myself then ask the differences between options. Also, I was asked numerous times if I wanted to upgrade to shellac, which I did not. The staff doesn't speak english very well, which is a minus star for me. Very frustrating when I can't understand people. Didn't need an appointment, and the mani turned out well. Oh, they take cards, but they prefer cash or check. read more

My husband's appointment was much better then mine., I had Tony he did everything so fast wanting to get more clients., he would shove my hands during manicure he was done said thank you and walked away nothing about where to dry nails!!! I stopped in for a brow and lip wax while in town visiting family. Walking in, I was asked to sign in and that it would be a 10 minute wait. No problem, we had time. All of the techs were busy with pedicures and I could tell most of the customers in there were getting multiple services done. After 20 min, I was told they were ready for me and they walked me to the back. However, someone else had just been taking back for a wax so I had to sit back down and wait. Not really a big deal, but I could see how some would be irritated. The gal doing my waxing was really nice and quick but my brows were a little uneven and little thinner than I'd have liked. I paid $18 (+tip) for a brow and lip which was about average for what I'm compared to. Not a horrible experience but if I lived here I'd probably try a different place next time. read more

I have been coming here for years. I love that they always have the most most up-to-date products. The service is timely and friendly. They just finished a remodel that makes the place so fresh and inviting. The massage chairs always work and the water is always warm, unlike other salons in the area. The price is also reasonable for a UV mani and regular polish pedi. I can keep the product on my hands for at least 3 weeks! I come here every three weeks and will continue coming here. read more

The nail tech that worked on my nails was amazing. There were no cuts, very gentle with my nails and skin. She was also very polite and very easy to talk to. I believe her name was Lea? I came and got my nails done here a week ago. I got tips with dip. I've gotten this done 4 times before and it took about twice as long to get it done at Westwood. It'd be ok that it took so long if they didn't look so bad. They are really thick and one of the nails is coming off already! I will never go back to Westwood Nails. I called in to ask if I could come in for a pedicure. I did not request anyone specifically but said I did not want a male because I had a bad experience with one of the men who dug so deep into my skin that it was very very painful. When I arrived today one of the two males was my technician anyway. He was not at all attentive to giving me a good pedicure looking away or talking to the others much of the time as he did my nails. His scraping the bottoms of my feet and massage was half hearted in the least. He spoke maybe three words and was very impersonal. I've been here twice and both times I was impressed. First time I had a picture reference for the type of nails I wanted, and I was very pleased with the outcome. I got a full set of acrylics. And this last time I did the dip powder (after getting it done for the first time at another salon, and had to get it fixed because they did a horrible job) and yet again I love the nails! Idk what is with all the bad reviews. I see Sang every two weeks. I think he's great! My nails last FOREVER when he does them. He's absolutely hilarious too. Always have a good laugh when I get my nails done. Aside from that the salon is very clean and very nice. I redownloaded yelp on my iPhone just so I could give this review. I get my nails done every two weeks and I'm a pretty laid back person who's never given a bad review. But not only were these ladies rude but my nails were done so sloppy. The lady who did my nails was really harsh and kept hurting me but I let it go. My nails are uneven, not the shape that I wanted, and the color looks so ridiculously sloppy and not to mention she took forever. It was just a rebase which usually costs about 20-30 dollars but at the end she said it was 40 because my nails are long. My nails are not that long and I've never in my three consistent years of getting my nails have heard someone charge me extra money because of it. I usually do not write reviews. But, this expierence was so horrible, I feel the need to vent! I was treating myself to a Mani/Pedi for my birthday. I usually love pedicures. I have had several and actually have tried just about every salon in the Arvada area, including this one. In the past, it has been OK, nothing to be excited or upset about. However, this time, it was absolutely horrible! I had Lee Ann. Not a very friendly or professional person at all. She was trimming my cuticles on my feet and she kept knicking me. I would flinch each time and she just kept saying, "relax your feet." This went on a couple times and then she got me good on my second foot. Finally, I said "I'm not enjoying this at all, you keep knicking me" All she said was "you want someone else?" No apology, no nothing. She got up and walked away. I was going to wait for another tech. But, I was so upset with her attitude and her nonprofessionalism, I just got up, went to the front and asked what I owed. She asked if I wanted someone else. I said no, I had enough and asked for the techs name so I could write this review. If you do go here, make sure you do not get Lee Ann!!!! Needless to say, I will never be back again!!! This is a great place for a pedicure! The guy I got, Phu, gave a great foot massage too. No appointment needed and prices are reasonable ($25 for a pedi). They are very polite and accommodating if you have allergies or make any type of special request. I will definitely go back. read more
