Beer menu is dope but the calamari portion is laughably small. At $10 it's like $1/ring. What a joke.

Breakfast plates were great with many options to choose from. I had the burger one night for dinner and it was well prepared and very tasty. The second night I had the hcicken tacos and those were really good. So many good flavors combined. Their kids meals were great too. Best food in HR, in our opinion!

This is one of our go-to spots on Hood River. We've been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and…read moresomehow they manage to nail it every single time. Today's mission? Split the St. Helens Burger, an order of fries, and a side salad with the recommended goat cheese (trust them--it was the right call). The burger was everything you want it to be. A fresh poppy seed bun, a perfectly cooked patty, sweet caramelized onions... and then came the poblano pepper. That little bit of smoky heat tied the whole thing together. Now let's talk about the fries because they deserve their own paragraph. These are, without question, my favorite fries. They arrived hot, crispy, perfectly golden, and had that satisfying crunch that makes it impossible to stop at just one. If you're a fry person, these alone are worth the visit. The side salad was fresh and flavorful, and the creamy goat cheese took it from "just a side salad" to something I'd happily order again. It was the perfect balance to all those delicious fries. If you're looking for a place that consistently delivers great food in a welcoming atmosphere, Kickstand Coffee should absolutely be on your list. We've yet to have a bad meal here, and it's one of those places we recommend without hesitation to friends, family, and anyone who asks where to eat. I now wish I didn't let my husband eat more of the fries. Gotta head back up there soon! Service was great and love that the girl at the counter asked me if I was doing anything fun today - extra friendliness goes a long way!

We started with a side of Brussels sprouts, and they were absolutely phenomenal. They came topped with Parmesan crisps and were sautéed in a light, flavorful oil that was so delicious we couldn't stop eating them. I ordered the apple risotto, which was outstanding. It was creamy, perfectly cooked, and beautifully balanced by the tartness of the apples. The apples were cooked just enough to complement the richness of the risotto without overpowering it. My son ordered the clams and couldn't stop talking about how wonderful they were. My husband had the Friday prime rib special, and it was cooked perfectly. The sides were excellent, especially the asparagus. He also ordered the house salad with the house dressing--an herb-infused oil and vinegar dressing that was absolutely delicious. To finish, we shared the five-layer chocolate cake. It was everything a great chocolate cake should be: moist, light, and rich without being overly sweet. It wasn't the kind of dessert that leaves you reaching for a glass of water after every bite just perfectly balanced and incredibly enjoyable. The gorgeous views, warm ambiance, and attentive, friendly staff made the evening even more memorable. Every part of our meal exceeded expectations. We will absolutely be back and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.

Don't think of this as a golf club restaurant but more of a top choice for a nice dinner or nice meal in the area. My wife, mother and I were staying at the resort next door to the golf course and decided to give Isadore's with no prior research. Being from Seattle, the menu and approach from Isadore's and their effort to be a high end restaurant serving unique high quality cuisine was terrifying. In Seattle, a restaurant with this type of approach is going to be awful, pretentious, tiny portions and expensive. Isadore's was the direct opposite with stunningly unique food, excellent service and a very warm inviting vibe. We enjoyed Isadore's so much that not only did we eat dinner here but we returned to enjoy their lunch menu the next day. The people working at Isadore's were truly a cut above as everyone we met from the host, to our waitresses, to the other service people, to the Head Chef, to the owner were already incredibly friendly and extremely passionate about Isadore's and taking care of their customers. The host was a very young lady who could not have had a better attitude and who was so friendly to us. I was also highly impressed with how hard she was working always cleaning or doing something while not attending to her hosting duties. Our two waitresses were spectacular with good humor and great effort taking care of us. The real reason I am writing this review is the steak I had here was one of the best I've had in recent memory. An incredibly unique blue cheese crust with Portobello mushrooms on top of a flavorful perfectly cooked NY Steak. I've have never had a blue cheese crust on a steak before and it absolutely rocked my socks! My wife ordered the same thing and she has been known to hurt people and start fires when her steak isn't cooked correctly. Both of our steaks were nailed with complete perfections at two different temperatures. Exceptional! We tried lots of different things here. My wife loved the clams she got. The different types of bread were all awesome! My mother was raving about this place during the entire trip. Out of everything we had here across Dinner and then lunch the next day, everything was great to exceptional. Really had no expectations walking in but walking out was completely blown away. Isadore's hit it out of the park in virtually way. My mother was even raving about how fancy she thought the bathrooms were. We really loved Isadore's and would go back any time we're in the area!

The coffee was also so light, it seemed as if they had no idea how to make good coffee. My son ordered their "French Dip," which looked like overcooked and burnt roast beef on a "sub" roll that he dipped into a small bowl of au jus to make it edible. At least his french fries were decent. This to me is more of a bar than a restaurant. Its most obvious strong point was atmosphere. We ate outside on a beautiful sunny seventies day. A stained glass window was behind us with hanging potted flowers on both sides. There were trees and grass. Our two servers were nice and attentive. The food was inedible. Ordered a fried chicken sandwich with a 2.00 upgrade for onion rings. What I received was undercooked onion rings with NO seasoning at ALL (not even salt). On the flip side the fried chicken sandwich was overcooked, hard to eat, and NO seasoning whatsoever! (again, not even salt). My spouse got the French dip with fries. Guess where all the salt from my meal wound up? yep... her Au Jus was super salty!!! The beef was so chewy we wound up spitting it out (embarrassing, but discreetly). We could not eat any of it, so we left, 60.00 poorer and unhappy. Hope it was an off day, because the location was lovely.

My fiance planned a wonderful mountain getaway for us, and lucky for me- we had dinner reservations here. It was so chilly in December, We had a cold mountain day, and we bundled up to go to our dinner reservations and I have to say- I wasn't expecting much when I heard the name "Grill". I was thinking- burgers, fries, your typical post-ski grub. I was wrooong! We strolled into the coziest little restaurant and were greeted by the two lovely people working there. Felt like I very sweet family vibe. They steered us in the directions of the pasta dishes we ordered, and we had the Soup of the Day to start- I believe it was some kind of Tomato bisque and that hit the spot. The Hazelnut pasta was a hit for my fiance, and I loved that he got to try such a classic Oregon flavor in a pasta- how fun. My chanterelle ravioli filled me up so fast, I also loved being able to try chanterelles in this format. Both dishes felt very creative and full of so much Oregon pride! Delicious!

The atmosphere is casual and inviting but the food, both quality and presentation, steals the show. We tried a gin cocktail that was as beautiful as it was inventive. We followed this with the brussel sprouts salad which was lightly roasted but still tasted and looked green in the most delightful way, with some kind of light dressing that celebrates the vegetables in the salad medley without overpowering them. We took Calvin's recommendation and ordered the special which was a three mushroom fettuccine: it was perfection. The pasta was served al dente, the mushrooms included shitake, hedgehog, and one other and all had a unique flavor that stood out with each bite. The pasta sauce was buttery but somehow almost effervescent, embracing but not suffocating, with just enough cheese to know it's there but not enough to have it overpower the dish. At this point we didn't think the meal could get any better but then we ordered the pear, huckleberry, and pluot sorbet made at Celilo and we're now committed to coming back. The sorbet featured locally sourced Bosc pears and that flavor may have been my favorite as it was unlike any other sorbet I have ever tasted. All were sweet but complex. Simply an amazing dining experience that I recommend to anyone fortunate enough to get a table here!

We saw several seats that were open.. so I asked since no one was in the waiting area, why can;t we go into the bar. She stated that the bar patrons could hold seats for guests not yet arrived.. All the bars I have gone to consider it first come first serve.. So we and waited longer as we watched two people get seated in the bar area and we still waited to be sat. Here me out, the resturant had plenty of seats and I get server seating, but I just didn't appreciate the uptight attitude of the hostess. Well we left, and went to light house, great food, great service and view.. NOT Stuck up. So By Celilo, I see why local just don't got there and I see why your closing.
