We first stopped in at the Latte Stand (cash only though there is an ATM in the Mechanic's shop $4 charge). White Mocha Huckleberry Latte, why yes, please! Cute knick-knacky vendor items for sale (I bought a rhinestone tiara that spells out Happy Birthday). The Cafe & gas station both take credit/debit cards. We enjoyed breakfast here two days in a row. If you are a big hash-brown person you won't be happy. They have many offerings. I had the same thing both days and it was very tasty, the 3-egg Omelet with tomatoes, onions, bacon, and cheddar. Delish! Everyone is very, very nice. BUT... the second day we were there and with a different waitress, I noticed I was charged $2 more for the identical plate of food. So watch out for that! Still though, would definitely visit both businesses here next time! And I won't be dieting so I'll definitely be ordering huckleberry pancakes!

Excellent hidden gem. Good service. It wasn't obvious, but the protocol is to sit down at an outside table (shade provided by trees and/or large umbrellas) and someone will bring out menus and water and take orders. Huckleberry lemonade and huckleberry shake were refreshing. Mount Adams chicken sandwich (grilled chicken, fried mushrooms, Swiss, lettuce, tomato, some kind of sauce--1000 Island or Russian style) was delicious. It smelled so good, I dove in before remembering to take a photo. Companion's Mount Adams burger was "the best burger I've ever eaten along the Pacific Crest Trail!" They were out of sweet potato fries, so I reluctantly settled for onion rings (too often greasy, from my experience with other places) instead. The onion rings here were perfect! (Not limp, not greasy, fried at the proper temperature in fresh oil.) We also got a huckleberry roll to take home.

This is a hidden gem! Had my first huckleberry margarita which was outstanding with my garden burger topped with mushrooms and Swiss cheese! One talented lady did it all by herself, she was the bartender and cook! Really great cook! I was impressed and she was super sweet too!

Small mom and pops cafe on the road to Mt. Adams. Seating was limited to outdoors due to Corona virus restrictions but it was a gorgeous day and we had an enjoyable breakfast. Staff prepares orders one at a time so it took a little time to get our food but we were not disappointed. Staff was friendly, food portions were fair for the price. Would definitely eat there again. Positives: Good Food, beautiful spot, clean and friendly Negatives: not a lot of parking.

Ate breakfast at The Station Cafe. This was my second time eating there. It was better than last time. We got all things huckleberry. Huckleberry Pancakes, Huckleberry Mimosa, Huckleberry with Granola and Yogurt and. Huckleberry Milkshake. I recommend it all. The service was decent. I give it 7.5 stars out of 10.

It's a great small town burger spot. In the summertime you could eat outside in the sun. breakfast is good.

I will say the service and amenities offered seem to be gradually declining, and it is getting busier to the point of feeling crowded and stressful to be at. The hotel used to provide coffee service. They took that away...so now, if you stay in the bunk rooms or the schoolhouse rooms, there's usually a crowd trying to make their own coffee in the morning, and only one hot water kettle (I believe there used to be two). They also seemed to have removed the toaster oven, and the staff were confused and were not able to help with locating one to use. Also no general dishes to use so you should bring your own if you want to eat anything of your own and avoid paying top dollar at the in house cafe. These are small things, but I believe for the price some more basic amenities should be offered. It would make the stay overall more pleasant and convenient, and feel like more of a hotel than a chaotic hostel. I will also note that a large group was staying in the bunk rooms during our stay and they were quite loud (and inebriated) and spreading their stuff into every corner (they had multiple coolers and even camping chairs set up in the common area of the bunk rooms). Obviously the staff can only do so much about this, but it does impact the value to have a big group partying, being loud, and generally not conscientious of the space they are using. My TLDR would be to avoid this place on weekends completely, unless you have the funds to stay in one of the cabin rooms which are more private.

We all got different sandwiches and every single one of us loved what we got. Wasn't too busy on a Friday morning, plenty of open seating. They did have pastries as well but did not partake. Ordered the bagel and lox which was amazing- came with all the fixings such as tomatoes, capers & red onions. The salmon was fresh and the bagel was nice and toasty, just the way I prefer. Got to taste the sandwich with the jam and loved it. Kind of wish I got that sandwich instead just cause of the jam. The bread was really good too- I think they were homemade english muffins. Everything on the sandwich was just chef's kiss! All of the employees were really nice. The place was clean as you have to "buss" your own table. Glad that people can follow directions. The drinks my group ordered came out piping hot and was served with a smile. Cool spot!

You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. The dining space is bright with tons of seating. I love that they make their own bread!! It's super soft and such a nice touch. I usually go with the turkey which has turkey, white cheddar, tomato, pickles, onion, lettuce, and hot mustard. It was a bit spicier than I would have liked, not that it was too hot, but that flavor was really dominant for me so I'd probably modify it a bit in the future or just build my own . My daughter loved her ham sandwich which comes with sprouts, avocado, and cucumber. My husband also really liked his Italian and their clam chowder. This place is definitely worth a stop if you are hungry in the Gorge!
