Hamburger was average not much flavor... the fish and chips were recommended, and the fish was very fishy. The beer was lukewarm right out of the bottle. Looks like a good place to drink at, but I wouldn't recommend eating there. read more

So, I've given the Wexford two chances in case the first time was not the norm. My first visit, I had the fish and chips. The fish was very overcooked with an almost jerky texture in some bites. My second visit was this week when I ordered the shepherd's pie. The shepherd's pie itself was ok. Nothing really special. The menu said it came with a "wee salad" which it did. On the same plate as the shepherd's pie which had been sitting under the heat lamp. My salad was so warm that the cheese on top was melted. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he said "yeah, it had probably sat under the heat lamps". I don't own a restaurant, but I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to happen. It seems like the entire staff is a little unsure of how restaurants work. Also, it's a ridiculous that they charge a credit card fee especially with the prices they charge for mediocre food. If you're from out of town, and you've never eaten at an Irish pub, you'll probably like it. read more

Smack in the middle of tourist central. The food was decent, the beer was cold, prices no too outrageous, and service was good.

I didn't eat here, but I got an aperol spritz. It was like $18 and served in a plastic cup.

Me and my boyfriend came here for our anniversary and everything was amazing. The food the drinks everything is amazing. I don't like alcohol but I had there strawberry mocktail and fell in love. We loved it here and have been 3 times in the past 3 weeks! Service is good - we had Savannah and Drake who were both great! The fish batons are to die for, the potato/leek soup is amazing. Oh! I found this place on my first night in Savannah. beautiful weather, live music & outside dining. I didn't want a heavy meal, went for the cod fingers and a wee side salad. The fish was excellent, homemade, salad was basic but was healthier than a plate of French fries --that's will power (I'm sure they were delicious too). It is not well thought out and reflective of the commercialized Irish menu. The food is genuinely a 4/10 so if you're looking for a subpar time with disproportionate sizes this is your place.(update) The they do a cornflake fried fish fry which is so far from a regular fish and chips it should be unethical to name it the same thing. Wow! One of the greatest places I have to eat. Went as a party of eight, and everything was super speedy. My gluten free friend said it was the best meal he has had since being gluten free. The gf bun was amazing. Everything we ate was amazing so fresh and cooked to perfection, our waitress was one of the kindest waitresses I have ever had she added helpful insight, was very helpful answering our many questions. I was so excited to come back and enjoy the friendly service and authentic Irish atmosphere. The bartender Celeste completely destroyed my excitement with her horrible attitude and poor service. As soon as I walk up to the bar I'm greeted with annoyance and haughty eyes. She was not attentive in clearing the dirty section on the bar and left me and three other customers standing there for 10 minutes. When I asked for napkins to clean the bar, which she neglected to do, she answered with a sarcastic response and handed me bar napkins. Overall very disappointed with the vibe of the atmosphere, and I also asked for the music to be turned on which never happened. Couldn't even bring myself to stay more than one beer. We ordered a goat cheese dip and it came with pita chips, not sure what Irish pub serves pita chips, they were ok but still why ? My wife asked about the corned beef and cabbage, waitress said " oh it's always good , I love it here . Driest worst meat ever. She ate none of it, waitress never asked if there was a problem. We ordered Irish Soda bread and they brought a plate of thick slices of Rye bread, what the heck ? Rye bread ? We ordered Irish Mac and cheese. The flavor was ok but again dry . Found a brand new nugget nestled in the historic district of Savannah that serves up cheer, cold drink and awesome food! As hubby and I entered this Irish pub from City Market, the decor was inviting, the hostess welcoming. We scouted out the large area to figure out where we wanted to land. The hostess then told us there was an upstairs area with full bar and music (acoustic singer, she was awesome!) for the evening! Up the stairs we went and landed 2 seats at the well-appointed bar. As we settled in, our bartender left us with cocktail/wine/beer menus, it was decision time! All beverage menus had plenty of offerings, hubby opted for a cold beer (they had at least 15 taps, plus bottle/can options). And I can say, they know how to pour a perfect Guinness! I opted for a non-traditional Irish drink made with strawberry purée, basil, house made lemonade spritzed with soda, spiked of course! Very tasty and refreshing! The bar was busy as was the floor, but the 2 bartenders handled their volume with ease and grace. We had fun banter with her throughout our stay, it's obvious she loves what she does! While we enjoyed our libations, we watched as others were served dinner. All of the food we saw come out of the kitchen looked fantastic and tasty, so, decision made! Dinner would be at Wexford's for the evening. We decided to split the sliders as well as the shareable brussels, perfect choices! Neither dish disappointed! My husband and I were super excited to check this place out, so we rode our motorcycle downtown for a date night. We were greeted just outside the door by two very polite hosts, and seated near the bar. Our server, Michaela, was very busy, but still able to provide excellent service. She quickly brought us waters because we were very overheated after riding the bike. We ordered draught IPAs that were nice and cold, and we shared the pot roast sandwich with chips (fries). The pot roast sandwich was absolutely delicious, and the fries were homemade just like my mom used to make them. This place is sure to become a regular favorite for us. The chicken tenders were dry. Yes, I know! Who goes to an Irish Pub and gets chicken tenders? I wasn't all that hungry. One of our other orders was pan seared cod, that was not pan seared or nearly cooked enough. The server was plenty nice, but service was slow and very disorganized. One person got their food, then 10 minutes later the other 3 got their food, and finally 20 minutes later the last person got theirs. Then, when we were ready to cash out, the server could not figure out the device, so instead of taking our payment inside to cash us out, we waited about 30 minutes while she tried to figure out the machine. Came here tonight with a group of friends and was NOT disappointed!!! The building is beautifully redone, which makes me so happy as a former employee of the business that was there before.
