And they deliver for a modest price if you want a larger object and don't happen to have your own truck. Staff are friendly and helpful, you'll think of them as friends fairly fast. Browsing the store is always a pleasure because there are so many interesting things to see. I am so looking forward to my next visit.

The Bull Pen - This is the kitchen hutch set I can't find anywhere on their inventory sheet. If it sold, I doubt I got anything for it.

Just a follow-up to my first review. I still would only give this business one star because of…read moreeverything I said in my first review. To follow-up, I did email the owner a few times. Finally, I received a phone call from the owner on March 11, 2024. He said my stuff would be auctioned off on March 16th. It was auctioned off March 16th and they mailed me a check that I received today (March 20). They supposedly auctioned everything off for $3625. After all of their fees, I got $2110. I'm kind of disappointed because I don't think all the fees were explained adequately. The charge to pick up things was $25 a hour per person plus $250 for fuel/equipment. There were three people so that's $75 times 3 hours + $250. Total should be $475. They charged me $625. There is a $25 landfill charge (which was never brought up on the sheet I signed) but that still would only take it to $500. I clocked them being there about 3 hours, but they might've charged more. Also, I don't see the kitchen hutch anywhere on the inventory sheet they provided me, so I guess I wasn't paid for that. There's also some items on the inventory sheet marked $0. I don't know if that means they did not sell or what. If I had to it over again, I think I would have asked them come to the house first and give me an idea of what they would be interested in taking. Either that or tell them they have to take everything. I don't think all the expenses I had to pay were worth whatever I eventually made nor was the mess they left me to deal with. I wish I would've looked at other auction houses. I think I could've done a little better and had a better experience. If you have the time and you live near the property you're selling from, you're better off selling the contents yourself. Not recommended.

Our family signed a contract with Beth to sell 125 paintings from my deceased husband's collection…read more They were oil on canvas and were created by Toledo Artists all the way back to the early 1900's . Beth came to my house on Feb 26th to view these paintings. She said she would let us know when they were up for auction so we could watch the activity. She also told my daughter and me that we could remove any items we felt were not meeting a better price. The paintings were finally picked up in mid March. On 5 separate occasions I called Beth's office and spoke to her secretary to inquire about the auction date. The sec. said she would let Beth know. I heard nothing back. I also texted and called Beth numerous times. She never called or texted back. By now it was May 7th and I was getting frustrated. On May 12th I received an envelope from Beth Rose Auctions. I opened it and found a very small check inside. I texted Beth and said I've been texting and calling you. She finally called back and said the auction was over?? She had many excuses for not staying in touch and letting us know. She rudely blamed us for not knowing and then she blamed a co worker for not telling us and she also said she had a family tragedy and was stressed. This was a terrible experience for our family. Would not recommend.

Brad looked at our coins and gave us a range he felt he could achieve at auction. We discussed a reserve bid for the coins and Brad said he didn't do that as he was confident he could achieve the minimum he estimated. He sold us on his wide audience and his ability to attract potential buyers. His low range exceeded our offer in such that even after Brads commission we would have a higher return. We placed our trust and our valuables with Brad. Brad did not even come close to the minimum price he had provided to us and listed in his catalog. We gave him 12 coins, 2 sold for the minimum estimate. The remaining we so far off that as a whole, the auction only earned 40-% of the minimum Brad quoted to us. This is way below the offer we had in hand for the coins, and as a result we are out a substantial amount of money. I can't tell you how disappointed we are. I wish we had reviewed more closely previous auctions and compared the estimates to the price sold for similar items.
