We came on a Saturday night around 5pm. We were greeted and welcomed immediately! Very friendly and informative staff. The mahi tacos were TERRIFIC. I will drive here again just for them! We've gotten carry out from the Wharf about 5 times over the past two years. Most everything has been delicious, with one of our fav meals being the red beans and rice with shrimp and sausage. It is such a hearty and comforting meal. The Baja shrimp tacos are also delicious, but I don't like when the tortillas get too soggy. So I requested they put the tortillas on the side tonight and they had no problem doing so. The coleslaw was a bit too runny, making the tacos incredibly messy, but they were tasty and I was super grateful they were packaged so nicely for our drive home. The burgers and fries are also a family favorite. The only item we've ever ordered and not enjoyed were the wharf cakes. We were expecting crab cakes and surprised to bite into pieces of fish and tiny shrimp instead. Additionally, we have always had great service. The staff are polite and friendly, answer any questions we have about the menu or modifications, and make sure to check the order for us. Overall a nice place to get some tasty food. read more

Great Food and Great Service. You'll leave with a full belly and a smile on your face from the great service. Hannah was so helpful with our ordering and super friendly. We tried the seafood gumbo which was fantastic and came with very fresh Hushpuppies. I had a Greek salad with blackened shrimp. The shrimp were cooked to perfection. Food was great and service was as well. It's a cute little restaurant that has walk up style ordering. When you arrive you wait in line to order with the cashier (who also doubles as a waitress). You pay at the counter, get a number and seat yourself. When the food is ready, which is fairly quick, a food runner comes to your table. All the food comes out super fresh and was delicious, even though I was impressed that the Flounder didn't come whole, it was still good. A little tough/over cooked so I would recommend something else but overall, if I lived around one of these restaurants, I'd be here all the time. Don't get me wrong, I love hole in the walls but sometimes I just want something...in the middle. Took my mom here and the service was great. I can't remember the name of the lady that worked the front counter but she was great...giving us recommendations and her opinion when we asked. The food was good as well. My mom really like the shrimp and grits and my poboy was pretty good. I'm always hesitant that my fish will be overcooked but it was prepared well. The food and service here are incredible. The woman taking our order was very polite and patient as we took a couple minutes to order, considering we had never eaten there. She helped with recommendations and we ended up going with the Destin Platter, Cajun Shrimp and Grits, with the Fried Green Tomatoes as an appetizer. Wanted to try a new restaurant and Wharf Casual Seafood popped up. I am very happy we came in and ate. I had the lunch special which was Mahi Mahi and Shrimp with French fries, it was really good. My daughter had the Cheddar Burger it was big enough she could not finish it and it came with fries. My husband had the fried catfish with two sides and he loved it. I tasted his coleslaw and collard greens both were really good. I am picky on my coleslaw and greens. The people were wonderful and service was great. You place your order, they give you and number and you wait for your food. The food here is very good and the price point is fair, especially when you are enjoying food of this quality. I would definitely recommend this establishment. There are a few locations here in the southeast and this is the second one that I have been to and both have been excellent. I placed an order for a kid's fried shrimp basket with cheese grits and water, kid's fried chicken fingers with cheese grits and sweet tea, and a fried catfish basket with cheese grits and a Sprite. All orders arrived quickly at the table, with fried hush puppies. The Sprite tasted dirty. The sweet tea tasted funny. The water tasted like chemicals. The chicken was great-fried slightly crispy but not hardened like they have at DQ. It seemed like freshly battered chicken. The shrimp was fried perfectly and flavorful. The fried catfish was a little dark, but really good and was a single generous sized filet. The cheese grits were grainy and pretty ho-hum. Hush puppies crunchy but soft and slightly sweet with notes of onion, making them some of the best I've had. They have an easy to use online ordering system so you can place your order and just walk in to collect it-ready in 15-20 minutes. Overall, I could see giving them another chance.
