Who is in charge????? I ordered a Whataburger Jr. with cheese, mayo no mustard. No fries no drink. I got the burger with mustard, no cheese and COLD fries, that I didn't order and a drink that I didn't order and yes I got charged for a complete meal! Seriously who is in charge? Yesterday I went in for breakfast. The biscuit and gravy were horrible! My biscuit was swimming in gravy and the biscuit was so hard I had to pull it out and cut it with a knife. I hadn't been to Whataburger in a couple months, so I was craving a Whataburger Jr. It was late, maybe 5-6 P.M., and I wanted to get home before dark (home is 30 miles away). So I went through the drive through at Whataburger in Bay City and wow! I got the most beautiful, freshest Whataburger Jr. I had ever gotten here!! Don't know if management changed, or they got a new cook, but that was the BEST burger I've had in years!! I called the manager to let her know because she needs to keep that person working full time (and overtime lol) !! I am going back as soon as I can and I sure hope I get the same cook as that day!! As a customer, I don't mind waiting an extra few minutes to get my order done right and my veggies cut just right and not just slapped on the burger. Burger builders also need to make sure they don't overdo or under do the mustard, mayo etc. I sure hope the new Whataburger owners are going to start making sure everyone is trained well and in the exact same way!! Ordered food online ahead of time and showed up at the time that was given to me. My food still want ready. Slow service and poor management. I would like to start off by saying I love whataburger. That being said I think this whataburger can do much better. I came in at 11:30 on a Saturday and got a #1 meal. The server was fast and friendly. I went to get my drink and the Dr Pepper was empty that's ok I will drink root beer. I went to find a seat the tables are all dirty and most of the tables had flys on them. Now I'm thinking there must be flys in the kitchen also. Food is good/typical but it just takes FOREVER. I hate leaving bad reviews but tonight it was 48 minutes in the drive thru. It wouldn't have been bad but I got in the line with only 5 cars in front of me. This has happened before so it isn't an isolated incident. I have always had excellent experiences when visiting a Whataburger, but today was a game changer. All I ordered was 2 chicken strip sandwich meals and it took over 40 minutes! Whataburger used to be a good place to get a burger from. But when they have kids working there just for a pay check you get shitty service. I sat in-line for over twenty minutes watching everyone in front of me order their meal at the drive through. Then when it was my turn to order no one came to order speaker to take my order. Again just sat there. So I called the store and tried to order and tell them the situation. Instead I was put off by some person that answered the phone and instead of listening to what I had to say the person just hung up on me. Now by this time I'm really hungry and pissed. I really like Whataburger, they are consistent throughout texas and you get a good size tasty burger for less than $4.00. Passing through Bay City and wanted to stop by to get a quick bite, saw Whataburger and decided to stop, how can it go wrong. The place had many flies everywhere, there were at least 6 employees standing by the front and 3 by the registers, only one was taking orders. There were only two persons in front me but it was taking a long, the person taking the orders kept leaving to the back then talking to the other employees about which person ordered what, apparently they did not give them numbers and employees were walking around asking people what they ordered. After nearly 8 minutes in line I decided to leave, went to dairy queen instead. First time I've had a bad experience at Whataburger, maybe it was a bad time, new employees but they need to have more trained employees working at the same time. Glad I don't live in the area, the Whataburger's in Austin area are pretty awesome. read more

Great food and great prices. Service is good. Only bad thing about this location in Bay City Texas is that it is way to busy at times and the hard working staff are overwhelmed.
