The food is usually really good and consistently good. However, I usually use the drive-through in Boyd. That's either sink or swim. Sometimes you get through quick, sometimes you sit there for 20 minutes. Unfortunately, right now I'm going through drive-through service for breakfast, and I've already been here For 15 minutes and there's still a car ahead of me. There were only three cars ahead of me when I pulled in the line. I don't know if they get shorthanded or what, but it can really throw your day off. We moved here seven months ago and have visited this Granbury Whataburger about five times. A couple of times the service was a little slow but they acknowledged our wait and apologized. The manager here is TERRIFIC! He actually comes out from behind the counter and visits with the customers - very caring and friendly. On one visit, they made the wrong flavor of shake for me so then made the correct one but also let me keep the wrong flavor. The order takers at the counter are very polite. I've been traveling on a motorcycle riding around the state line. Yes I've stopped at many Whataburger's and sometimes I just stopped to get a soda. Every time I bought a soda it's always been under two dollars for a small drink. I ordered and paid for a small drink at this particular Whataburger it cost $.35 more than normal, which was over two dollars for a total of $2.21 that's with the tax, the drink cost $2.04. Can't understand why a regular size drink would cost $.35 more than the other stores. I might could understand maybe five cents more than normal but not $.35 more. When I told the counter help my name, I heard the cook in back say my name and put my order on the shelf with some others. 10 minutes go by... counter help lady dumps 3 already filled fries back into the warming bin. She snaps at a worker to put more fries in the fryer. Within ONE MINUTE she took them out of fryer, mixed them with the 3 previously cooked ones she had dumped and loaded them into the waiting bags. Now my burger has been waiting 10+ minutes. My bag is handed to me, and I ask for my drink. She says, "No drink on the order!" I said, "It shows it on the app." She wouldn't look but slammed a cup on the counter. Fries were uncooked- ketchup wouldn't even stay on them. All - On 13 Aug 24, my wife and I wanted our burger fix and decided for Whataburger. It was lunch time and it was busy. We have to share that our experience was absolutely positive as we enjoyed our lunch at this location. We witnessed engaged leadership and management in action. The place was clean, employees were on the ball and moving with a purpose, and management was impressively multi-tasking! To top it off and really what brings me to write this review is I saw the manager sit down with an employee that was previously struggling and may have had an incident - this manager handled the situation splendidly! As a current military commander, I/we were absolutely impressed by what we witnessed - other businesses need to learn from this place! Way to go Whataburger - we will be back. read more

I'm a HUGE Whataburger fan but this one isn't it. Ordered online order around 6:45 pm, note said it would be ready by 6:56. Checked in at 6:55. At 7:20 I went inside because no one had come out. Seven people behind the counter, including the manager, no one in line, no one in the drive thru and one person in the dining area. Manager didn't even greet me said "cash or card" as I walked up. I explained we had been waiting for a curbside order since 6:55....no response, just turned and walked away. We stood at the counter for an additional ten minutes before we got our order. Besides not being able to pay cash unless having exact change I ordered right after my coworker and didn't receive my meal until he was finished and after two people who came at least 10 minutes after me, received their food. So once I did receive my order I didn't want to keep my coworker waiting, so I asked for a to go bag and the gentlemen handed it to me with no issues but once I asked the girls working drive thru who weren't busy at the moment, as the one making orders was, for some ketchup I was surprised to receive looks up and down with no response like I was talking to myself! I contained myself before saying something I shouldn't and waited for the girl making orders to help me out with some ketchup. If you're going to be racist, don't work food service! Even after closing for a couple weeks and undergoing renovations this place STILL SUCKS. Wait times are just as long, orders are just as inaccurate, and they're still regularly out of food just as before. I'm not going to blame the staff completely because I know some of the issues are out of their control, but when I order a burger with no bacon and receive one with the bacon but no beef then there's a problem. We took out granddaughter out for the day and went to grand bury for lunch. We decided to use the drive thru. Just about everyone else also decided to use it but not unexpected. There was a line but it was moving so no real problem there. I placed our order, two combos and two fish sandwiches for me. Line still moving. We got to the 2nd window and got our drinks and waited. I must admit it took a bit longer than I expected but then I was a fast food manager for 32 years so I am somewhat sensitive to speed of service. The food was all hot, fresh and tasty. The two employees that spoke to me were friendly and courteous and the young man ask me if I wanted condiments and I said 5 pks of spicy ketchup and we got them. All good. When we found a shade tree to park under I realized that apparently they consider napkins a condiment and I didn't ask for them so I didn't get them. Not a problem for us because we carry extra napkins in both vehicles. I will say when you consider we got there right on the middle of lunch (12:33) these people did a good job. I complimented her because she had a positive attitude, she was upbeat and friendly, gave excellent customer service, and wore a smile on her face. I saw a YouTube video about their Patty Melt and realized I've never tried one before and I love Patty Melts. It's just that every time I eat here for lunch I always get their Bacon Cheeseburger. So I ordered the Patty Melt Combo and was not disappointed. It was absolutely delicious! Double meat, double cheese, and the grilled onions sends it over the top! I really don't have any complaints. There was nothing wrong with it. I liked that it wasn't dripping grease when I bit into it. I thought it was perfectly made and see no reasons not to give it anything but 5 stars!
