We were pretty hungry so we forgot to take pictures. This place is very unassuming,, a small hole in the wall. But, the food does not disappoint. My husband got the patty melt and I got the jr burger. He got onion rings and I got fries so we could share our sides. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The food was beyond greasy, and the kitchen looked completely unsanitary. The entire building felt dirty and unkept. My wife used the restroom and said it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months, absolutely disgusting. The catfish had an overwhelmingly fishy taste and was nowhere near as good as people claim. There are plenty of places in town that serve much better catfish. My sister ordered the chicken fried steak, and she said it was like chewing on the bottom of a shoe. She could only manage a few bites before her jaw got too sore to continue. The limp, soggy, greasy fries were the only thing soft enough to eat and even those were awful. The gravy was lumpy, tasted old, and looked like it had been sitting out for hours. My mom ordered a hamburger and took one bite before realizing the meat was still raw in the middle. She was so disgusted she couldn't eat another bite and ended up waiting in the car because the smell and filth of the place made her nauseous. My dad also ordered a burger; while his wasn't raw, he said it definitely wasn't as good as it used to be and didn't even bother with the fries. We were all ready to leave within minutes of being served. It wasn't worth the drive from across town. Honestly , it wouldn't even be worth the drive from next door. Nothing like a good homemade burger! That is what you find here and several different kinds of burgers with a sign outside that "this burger is bigger than you a.." Which it's a 1/2 pound burgers that are seasoned and well made burgers! We have been there several times and the food is awesome and the service is good. You order at the counter and they give you a table tent for your order so they can find you! It's a first in and first out type of system! Two of our family got stuck in traffic and you could see the dining area filling up quickly but we already ordered and they kept the ticket open until they got there! Was a wreck on the highway! Well they bring out orders as they are placed so we all got our door but they since they ordered later it took them some time to come back around to the rest of our order! Which the dining area was full and they had to wait until everyone that ordered before them was served. The food comes out hot and freshly made and they do change extra for ranch and other condiments. We recently moved to Granbury and discovered the wonderful Willie & Dick's. We called the restaurant at 7:40 pm to confirm if they had breaded pork tenderloins and the guy answering the phone went and checked with the chef (we were told yes). So we headed out to this place and arrived at 8:15 pm (they close at 9:00 pm on Saturdays). Surprise, surprise. When we arrived, the lights were off so we walked inside. We were told that they decided to close early, at 8:00 pm. We told them how we'd just called, etc. but no one told us they'd be closing early. NOT HAPPY! read more

Been living in Granbury for a year and a half and finally got to Willie and Dicks today. I won't wait that long anymore. The Jr Burger is basically a full burger at my home. More than plenty however they have bigger and tastier looking more options if you are super hungry. Good service, clean place. Get the onion rings! We haven't eaten here in several years and we were reading about it recently on Facebook so we decided to eat there because we used to really enjoy it. We ordered take out and unfortunately, we were so disappointed. My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings and he said it was okay but definitely not what he remembered it being like before. I ordered Chicken Fried Steak and it came with french fries, a side salad, and a side of gravy. When I opened the box I knew immediately that it wasn't going to be a very good experience. Over half of the fries were burned. The ones that were not black, were so full of grease that they were limp like spaghetti noodles. Gross and totally inedible. My husband said here let me take it back, but I said no that I would just eat the CFS and salad. I should have let him take it back. The CFS was just as bad. It wasn't burned but the breading was super thick and hard to chew. Midway through the second bite, the whole steak came out of the breading shell and the inside of the batter was moist and a strange grey color. It was also inedible. The side salad was lettuce, tomatoes, and shredded cheese. It was decent. Not what we remembered from past experiences at all. read more

It's been quite a while since my last visit to W&D's Grill. Years in fact! Twelve years to be exact! But I was carving a burger, and did not feel like any of the other places I knew of, so decided on a place I have not been for a while. There's been a couple of changes. #1, no more free beer. 2 beers on draft. Cans/bottles too. #2, order at the counter and food is brought to you. So I ordered my basic burger, with fries, and took a seat. Food came out pretty quick and totally met my expectations. I rather liked how the rather flat burger patty was hanging out of the bun. I'll definitely would consider W&D's next time I'm craving a burger. I didn't have a chance to totally scrutinize the menu, as it was on a display where you order. Since W&D's doesn't seem to have a URL, I can't even add more info. Maybe one of the food delivery services has it? Bottom line: No free beer was not really a loss. I think we had something of everything they serve. The service was awesome. The place is small and they made plenty of room for us and made us feel so welcome. Ok, so we went back a few days ago...and that's important. The first time (late 2020, covid season) it was not good. BUT!!!! This go around, it was amazing! Best burger I've had in town and in the top 5 of ever! Really really good. It was a regular sized burger (as in not the giant one they offer) it was cooked great, fresh tasting and just the perfect amount of greasy (because a non greasy burger is just dry and tasteless). The fries were my favorite kind, lightly crisp outside and soft inside. The onion rings were amazing! Really enjoyed the whole meal!
