Stopped into Whataburger for a quick bite and was not disappointed! The burger was fresh, made to order, and stacked with crisp lettuce, juicy tomato slices, pickles, and a perfectly cooked beef patty. The bun was soft and warm, holding everything together nicely without getting soggy. One of the standouts was the Spicy Ketchup--a must-try! It has just the right amount of kick thanks to the jalapeño, and it took the flavor of the burger up a notch. Definitely a unique and welcome twist compared to standard fast food sauces. Service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant was clean with plenty of seating. Only reason for not giving a full five stars is that the presentation was a little basic and the burger could've used just a touch more seasoning on the patty itself. Overall, a solid experience and definitely worth a stop if you're craving a classic fast food burger done right

Gravy from my bowl ‍, rumor is it's waiting to thicken to this day.

Ranch was thicker than the gravy, we came in at the end of breakfast and instead of making more fresh gravy I believe they added water to the gravy to make it spread and when returning it we were told it needed to thicken....30.minutes later my thighs are still thicker than my gravy ‍ do better.

8:00 AM on a Tuesday...no one is here...

I moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1985 and experienced my first Whataburger there on East Gregory Street. Which was wonderful, because it was open 24 hours and was right near my favorite bar. Plus I was young. It was there that I experienced the Breakfast Taquito, which was introduced by the chain in 1983. Having moved to Dallas, TX in spring of 1986, I lived one exit up from a Whataburger, which also was convenient. So, the imprint in my head about the Whataburger flavors was pretty ingrained by the time I moved back to the east coast in 1988. Until Whataburger opened here. I have been for lunch a few times, but not for breakfast. And although this WB is very near to my favorite bar, I have given up howling at the moon and late, late night meals. Last week, I had lunch at a different Whataburger in Mauldin and was given a coupon for a free Taquito at any participating WB. But it expired within less than a week. Nevertheless, the seed was planted. I arrived at this WB and decided to order inside for carry out. At 7:56 AM on a Tuesday, I ordered 4 sausage Taquito's to go. There was not another customer in the restaurant nor in the drive through lane, so that was kind of interestingly dead. After placing my order, the two counter staff both disappeared into the kitchen and another customer did walk in, placing an order at the kiosk. What I found interesting was that she came in, was seen as the staff went to the back, but she went into the restroom. They departed the counter. She orders from the kiosk and goes to sit down. Zero interaction happened after that. I received my 4 Taquitos at 8:06 AM with this message: "Sorry for the wait, we like to make these fresh." I'm not sure when this other customer would be acknowledged because I left for work. I say this to point out how impersonable the experience was, especially in comparison to the Chick-Fil-A experience across the street. There, you are greeted multiple times and I believe the food is also made fresh, but it is lickety-split to get in and out of there, including the double drive through lanes. The food - so my benchmark was a fond memory of the sausage and cheese, tender goodness. The size of the Taquito is a bit larger than the McDonald's, but it is $3.69 per vs the McDonald's 2 for $3.00 "sausage burrito." The WB Taquito had a grilled flour tortilla that held a little bit of toasted texture and butter flavor. The filling was not quite as full as I expected, but the most noticeable difference to my memory and expectation was that the sausage was bland instead or savory and slightly hot as I remembered. Thinking that I might have distorted my memory, I looked it up on the internet to see had anyone else noticed a change in flavor over time. Recipes change. Ingredients change. In this case, many agree with me that the sausage has changed from a more round shape and savory to a more square shape and bland. Also, there was less cheese than memory served, where previously there was a savory, gooey umami combination of the former sausage and cheese but now the buttery tortilla was the dominant flavor instead of just being the carrier. I think of the Taquito as a portable breakfast. It is a convenient way to bring a sausage, cheese and scrambled egg breakfast into the car and especially easy to eat while driving. The key to a good breakfast taco is in the balance of the interior filling with the stability of the exterior tortilla. This was balanced toward the tortilla. Knowing WB, though, I bet you can get a double filled Taquito, which might be too much. Or get a plussed up version with a little extra for a charge. Maybe it is that Mandela Effect and my memory is faulty. Or maybe it is related to my hungry memory also mostly involved a good bit of beer drinking and that is behind me these days. Or, maybe they did mess with the sausage and the amount of filling to cut some costs over the years? It was just okay. I bought four, one for myself, three for my coworker children. Total wait time 10 minutes. Total tab $15.94. I'm probably not swinging out of my way to get here for a Taquito, but if convenient, may hit up WB breakfast another time.

After working a 14hour shift I wanted something other than a place known for waffles at 3am, so I tried breakfast here. I opted for a spicy honey chicken biscuit which comes with hash browns and a drink. I didn't eat the biscuit, but the chicken tender and hash browns were ok. The hash browns were sooo oily though. Service was friendly, but very slow in drive thru and there was only us and one other car. It's not the worst option in the middle of the night, but wouldn't be my 1st choice in the morning or afternoon.

Aesthetic: Typical, clean Whataburger chain, new to the Greenville, South Carolina area. My Favorites: A single Whataburger with lots of spicy ketchup and Iced Tea. Experience: I was a fan of Whataburger growing up, and it used to be a road trip staple when we'd drive cross country through Texas. The nostalgia was there when we went in and we had fun picking our orders. We were unimpressed with the service, we asked one of the workers for 4 spicy ketchups and she was displeased with us. They're our favorite, and I planned to take some home, but we felt a little awkward when we were judged for ordering extra. Not the best location, I wished they were slightly nicer since we only get to go every few years.

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon at 12:00 PM--perhaps a bit early for live music or games. Nonetheless, we found a full bar, a classic American menu, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. Located on Woodruff Rd in the Five Forks area, Bullwinkle's is situated directly across from Publix and behind a strip center, literally occupying the ground floor of a Great Spaces Storage building. Parking here is plentiful. The decor reflects the typical vibe of a sports bar/restaurant, with TVs mounted throughout, all tuned into a variety of sports. During our visit, college football, golf, soccer, and baseball were all on display, with the Manchester vs. Chelsea soccer match attracting a notable crowd. While the restaurant is one large space, its layout allows guests to find tables or seating areas that offer a sense of privacy. The menu includes all the expected favorites: pizza, calzones, wings, burgers, and a diverse selection of other items. The pizza is particularly popular, and they boast an extensive craft beer list. Our server was busy but attentive, and the food was quite good--though I would suggest cooking the wings a bit longer for optimal flavor. Although Bullwinkle's is a little off the beaten path, it's definitely worth a visit!

My wife wanted good fries, which for her are thicker fries, think Five Guys and not McDonalds or smaller. So, we hit up the Ale House. This is a definite sports bar in a large and airy space with a large rectangular bar in the center, booths along the walls and plenty of table seating. There is also space for outdoor seating on a covered porch, weather permitting. I counted 24 big screen TVs spread around with three on each side of the rectangular bar, one on the end. The music was straight up rock music, not soft rock or country rock, just rock, like Rock 101 style (mostly 70's-early 80's). Seated pleasantly, immediately. But had to wait near five minutes for any further attention. It wasn't that busy, but there wasn't that much help either. Shiela took good care of us, once she got started. The only service glitch was when the food arrived (17 minutes from ordering) the side of fries was forgotten. Initially, a bummer. But it was also immediately noted by Shiela as she was serving the food. Turns out it be a good thing. We had to wait 7 minutes for the fries to arrive, but they were piping hot and crisp straight from the fryer. Shiela told us the cook chose to drop a new batch, which Shiela also said was a good thing since the fries get a little lumper and greasy if they sit for a while. Which makes sense. But these were top marks on crisp outside, fluffy inside textures and flavor corresponds. Wings were very good but on the small side. No lemon pepper but the Carolina sweet BBQ were good. I tried the new special, something like a French onion dip smashburger. It was a smashburger, one patty, no lettuce or tomato or such, cheese and a melted slice of Swiss cheese on the top of the burger bun. Served with a side of what they called a French onion au jus but was really their French onion soup without the bread and melted cheese. I imagine some guy in the menu development department got to thinking about the French dip sandwich concept and that led him to think about French onion soup and then since he's been watching a lot of the Food Channel a mashup idea began and the smashburger winds up in the mix because it is a recent trend. A French dip/onion soup smashburger. It tastes alright, but conceptually, it doesn't go together palette wise or aesthetically. The burger is served with a steak knife, because it also looks questionable as to whether one should or can pick up the burger - it looks messy. But doable. It's just the flavor combo didn't hit, too much clash with the burger from the onion soup. Barring the fries mishap, this was okay. I bet it would be awesome if I were in my 20's and I bet my sons would be crazy about this place on a Football Saturday in the fall. Not bad, but "not my bag, baby!"

Paired nicely with the lovely tzatziki and accompanied by salad heavy with toasted garbanzos and mucho quinoa, 'cukes, endive-heavy greens and a spot on bright dressing.
