I placed a mobile order for a Snow Drift, nachos, and a drink. The Snow Drift is still listed as available on the Dairy Queen website, which is why I ordered it. After waiting in line, I was abruptly told they "don't carry that anymore" with no apology, explanation, or attempt to help. I wasn't offered alternatives or recommendations--just told to pull forward. When I asked to cancel the order, I was incorrectly told I had to do it myself through the app. When the app instructed me to call the store, I did--only to be given conflicting information again and told it had already been canceled, which made no sense given what I had just been told. The person I spoke to claimed to be the manager but clearly did not understand the cancellation process. Later, the actual manager called me. Instead of listening to my experience, she immediately minimized it, interrupted me repeatedly, and talked over me while defending the employee. I was never allowed to fully explain what happened, despite being asked to do so. Limited-time items being unavailable happens--that's understandable. Being dismissive, providing incorrect information, and refusing to listen to a customer is not. With so many food options available, I won't be returning to this location or any others ran by the same general manager.

I came for a Subway and cannot comment on the Deluca Pizza half. Parking in front is limited. The one space left was a tight squeeze for my medium-sized SUV. Interestingly, even at lunchtime when I arrived, and the small parking lot full, there were few people inside. Everything I saw looked very clean and orderly. I was not greeted by either business as I entered. I went to the Subway counter and had a short wait for my turn. The young man who took my order was not overly friendly or engaging, but he was efficient, made my sandwich well as I ordered it. When I requested a couple of additional napkins, he obliged. My sandwich was delicious, as expected. I enjoyed it at a nice picnic spot a ways down the highway. I was happy with my visit. It would have been nice to have been greeted as I entered. It had kind of an assembly line feel, no connect with customers. Perhaps that changes if you live there and they recognize you as a returning customer. But the product was great and the service was functional.

Tables need to be wiped, floors need to be swept... BUT It's almost 9: 00pm and they're super busy. The cashier was nice, tell her I was here for my pain in the butt order, and she said they were still working on it but I'm in no rush. I'm just going to end up sitting on my butt anyways. I ordered a jalapeno burger with extra everything, with no bun, and a grilled chicken cobb salad. For a burger not having a burn, it's pretty damn good! And this lettuce is like brand new or something! I don't think I'm going to be able to eat my cobbed chicken salads tonight, but I'll have something to eat tomorrow! The manager is so nice, she just came out and checked on me to see who I liked everything! That was nice! Overall, great experience! Thank you Whataburger! It was every bit at good as some of the cafes I've eaten in major cities (where there is heavy dining competition). Mom and I both ordered their delicious chicken salad sandwich, piled high (but not too thickly) with shredded chicken on perfectly baked, flaky (but not too flaky) croissant bread. The chicken salad was a perfect blend of seasonings with a few cranberries for a little sweetness. Divine! Each sandwich came with a side of crispy/perfect (seemingly handmade) chips. Our tour guide ordered a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich which she seemed to really enjoy as well, complete with perfectly buttered and crisp grilled sourdough bread. The atmosphere was very modern and new yet warm and dotted with beautiful antique pieces (be sure to check out the old buffet across from the bathroom doors, gorgeous!). And this place seemed packed with many locals in their brunch attire to enjoy the great food and great hospitality of the wait staff. Behind the restaurant, they also host a beautiful nursery where you can browse under the trees through their fairly extensive collection of plants (flowering and non flowering - we saw some variations of native flowering plants we've either never seen before or don't see often so my mom purchased a few for her garden!), chat with the very knowledgeable and friendly owner of the nursery, browse the little nursery gift shop full of unique and beautiful items, and even visit with the sweet "shop" kitties (who seem to like to hang out near the nursery gift shop entrance) if you wish. All in all, a very special experience at this gem in Schulenberg. We will definitely make this our number one stop for meals (and to buy more plants) in Schulenberg when we return!

I usually call in our order when we are about 20 minutes away from our stop. Everytime I call in the order the person on the other end is friendly and repeats back what we order. The convenient store part of Hruska's has a lot of items that you can choose from to purchase and they have clean bathrooms which is a positive. When we get there we park, walk in and head to pick up our food at the counter. It's usually labeled with the ticket stapled to the bag. We then get in line to pay for our food. The line is usually backed up but moves fairly quickly. There is also a small area with tables and chairs that you can sit at and enjoy your meal or sit there if you need a rest. For my meal I usually order a Hamburger which comes with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. I usually get mine with mustard. Their burgers are so good and a good size. Overall Hruska's is a great stopping place while traveling. Whether it's for gas, a bathroom break, or if you want to grab something to eat this is a one stop shop place.

First there was the drive-thru. The speaker doesn't work, there is no sign warning you, and somehow you are supposed to know what you want when you get to the window. Fine for those regulars familiar with the menu but they have no paper menu to look at when you get there. So the kid starts reciting it. To make it easy I ordered a double Texas burger dry with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and lots of onion. Kid didn't know what flavor ice cream for the shake they had, so he had to go look and memorize the flavors So I pay and wait. My receipt comes back saying no onion after ordering extra and nothing about dry. So they had to remake the burger and give a proper receipt. Everything was a big production, a comedy of errors by a completely clueless and incompetent crew with no adult supervision. I ate my burger while waiting for my shake and it was good. But I surely wouldn't recommend using the drive thru. Yelp was down for service else I'd have checked in. The business shares a spot with Subway and was hard to find as signage is poor despite being near the freeway.
